-UPDATE AT THE BOTTOM- I had my hair done by a gal that was only working there for a few weeks so I won't judge the entire salon. My hairdresser (from another salon) was on maternity leave so I thought I'd try this one out for a quick trim. The girl at the counter was very friendly and I loved that they had you fill out a hair profile before your cut. It's a really cool atmosphere too. The girl that did my hair mentioned "Please don't tell anyone we did your color." I thought it was kind of rude considering I really liked the color of my hair. She also talked about some pretty inappropriate things during our conversation...know your audience and stay professional. I showed a picture of the hair trim I would like and I came out of there looking pretty chopped up. I had to pay to get it fixed somewhere else. I would definitely not call for a last minute appointment with someone you don't know. I'd make sure someone refers the stylist you should get. I was disappointed but I can't judge the salon by one bad stylist that was only there for a few weeks. She is probably fired by now. UPDATE!!!!! The owner contacted me and apologized and the stylist was indeed fired. I really appreciate their quick response (within an hour). It shows they really take their client's satisfaction seriously! They offered free services to help redeem themselves. I'm very impressed. They couldn't help that a new stylist was not doing a great job and took care of the issue as soon as they knew. read more

I stopped going here after they switched locations. While I really like Bumble and Bumble products, and the new location is really nice (and modern) I can't justify the price based on the service I received. I received hair cuts from both Rusty and Desiree and while Rusty did give me a nice cut, I liked Desiree a little better --- but not her cuts. After a few appointments I started looking elsewhere. I liked the idea of this salon, but when customer service and quaiity doesn't meet the LOOK of the place, why go back? read more

Very cool and modern hair salon, designed nicely, clean and unlike any other in Clarksville. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere. I've been twice so far, for hi/low lites and cut with Desaray. Pricier than some other places, but still comparable. Next time, I'll go in with a picture or something. I like what she did, but I wasn't blown away, but that's probably because I wasn't really sure what I wanted. I had hi-lites and lo-lites done by Desaray M. She is really nice, and very talented. She took her time with the color and the cut so that it would be absolutely perfect. It has been almost a month, and my color still looks fantastic, the products they use are quality. I liked the modern atmosphere but I have to disagree about the price. I moved here from a big city (San Antonio, TX) and wasn't able to get hi-lite, lo-lites and a cut for under $200. Especially for the quality and talent that Desaray has, I was impressed that the price barely turned out to be $130. If you want good hair, you pay for what to get. The last time I got my hair done in Clarksville it cost me $75. But let me tell you I will never EVER go back there. read more

DON'T GET BURNT LIKE I DID--.STAY AWAY! Pretty place, offered great hair products and what seemed to be qualified staff. BUT, staff gossiped and I even heard some talk about me. They want to be a "med spa" way too bad, but are really just an overpriced hair salon with immature staff that lack professionalism and lack what it really takes to make you feel comfortable. Aqua Color Lounge is a vibrant upscale salon in Clarksville, TN. The salon is inviting and fun! The atmosphere is professional and polished. The entire staff is friendly and welcoming. The stylists are talented professionals and products are high quality. Consultations are thorough and the stylists make honest recommendations. The prices are fair for professional service. Personally, I saw Michelle for highlights and she did a great job (and I am picky!) She listened to what I wanted, made suggestions, and took attentive time without rushing to get to the next appointment. I will definitely return to & recommend this salon. read more

My daughter suggested Aqua Colour Loft after years going to Lyndons. No disrespect to Lyndons-did 100 percent perfect for years until 2017. Desaray M. is awesome, friendly, patient, understanding and works on your schedule time lime and she is beautiful as well. Good hearted person and I am thankful that my daughter suggested. The building itself is nice. My stylist was nice....but not worth the money. I've had worse experiences, but this one wasn't what I paid for. My hair was cut crooked. About 4 inches more was cut than I requested. Highlights were over processed, so I had unrepairable damage. The color I got was blah. People noticed...but not in a good way. It was comparable to something like Supercuts or Mastercuts. The product they recommended after they over processed my hair was useless as well. And I can live with all that. But the part that troubled me most was the high pressure sales. They pressure you to make another appointment before you leave. Give you discounts for leaving good reviews.....but the thing I just can not tolerate is the fact that they make you pay if you cancel your appointment. They literally take your credit card number when you call to make an appointment, so they can charge you if you don't show up, or if you are late. (I wasn't late) That was very awkward for me. I'll never do it again. It's a hair salon, not a hotel. My doctor doesn't even require this ridiculous practice. I think it boils down to an over inflated sense of worth for the owner. I'm sorry, but your services aren't worth half of what you charge and you're nowhere near the quality and etiquette of what you find in Nashville for the same price. Just the facts. read more

I went to Aqua for the first time this past Saturday and LOVED it! I have been getting all over blonde done to my hair for over 10 years and this was by far my favorite color. Brianna did a great job and spent plenty of time being thorough. She was considerate of what I wanted and we discussed future hair and beauty goals to work on in upcoming appointments. This place is amazing! Clarksville's own secret! I was a client at a different salon, also my hair is on the high maintenance side! I've always required someone who knows what they are doing to "platinum" hair! Anyway fast forward....I've went to aqua as per the owner's request, rusty, as being the previous studio had actually fried my hair! You name it, it happened to my hair all in one visit! Wrong color, breakage, Brillo pad feeling, falling out...etc...Aqua saved my hair, my pride along with having my hair look and feel amazing again! Rachel is fabulous and rusty is just a peach! I paid almost $600 for hair extensions from Rusty that came out in less than a week. I started calling a couple days after when they were hurting and they said it was normal and I assure you I have lots of experience with extensions and I was VERY gentle with them. They wouldn't do anything to fix it and I had been going there for 2 years. And before this little fiasco, I ALWAYS had to wait at least 30 minutes at my appointments. Never again. read more

I have received services from both the hair salon and med-spa. The staff are very professional, friendly, and knowledgable! This salon stays up to date on the newest products. My hair is damaged from the last salon and she gave me a small amount of mask to put on to help prevent breakage, she cares and that means a lot in my book. I have gotten my hair done at expensive salons in NYC, New Jersey, California, and Nashville...but never have I been as pleased as I was with the cut and highlights that Brittany at Aqua in Clarksville gave me! I have a ton of hair, so I asked for some long layers and to thin it out...I can't believe how great and light my hair feels! She asked a lot of questions to make sure she would give me exactly what I wanted. My highlights are gorgeous and look natural at the same time. Well, to start I called ahead to check the pricing so make sure it was reasonable. I was quoted "130" dollars with the owner RUSTY. I was a new client and expected an excellent consultation and it was anything but that. It was rushed and Rusty was very unfriendly. Because she was the owner and had experience I decided to trust her, but I did state several times that I wanted something completely different. When she finished it looked the EXACT same only the roots were gone. I expressed that I did not like the color and she didn't really have a reply. I decided to just pay and get out. When I went to pay it was over 200 dollars so I asked to speak to her. When she came out she was extremely RUDE and told me there was nothing she could do about it. I have had friends tell me my hair looks no different. She told me if I didn't pay she would call the police. There was no guarantee on her work as they state there would be. They charged me for something I was not even aware would cost. I will NEVER EVER go back to this place. They are crooks!!!!!!! read more

I stopped going here a while ago, not because they are not good at doing hair but because I found them unprofessional. Stylists would not only talk about each other in front of customers, but they would talk about other customers as well!! I found myself EXTREMELY uncomfortable in the chair as they gossiped on and on about the new trainees and customers who were "demanding". They also don't like to be told when something doesn't necessarily look right, immediately giving an attitude. They are also overpriced and honestly are not very good at finishing. Sometimes I would come out looking like I had let my daughter blow dry my hair, frizzy and unmaneagable. They tend to shove products and overpriced treatments down your throat too much as well. I would say save your money and go somewhere else. If you must go here, ask around how much it will be before you start. Or else they'll stick you with a hefty bill in the end. read more

I recently had my hair colored here and unfortunately, I was extremely upset with the results. Equipped with a picture and an appointment with the owner of the salon, I thought for sure I would walk out a happy customer. I had wanted some strawberry blonde lowlights in with my already highlighted blonde hair, but what I got instead was a full head of dark red/orange/very copper hair. I was no longer a blonde, which is not at all what I wanted. The results were nothing like the picture I brought in. I returned to the salon asking if I could get my money back because I was so unhappy with the results as well as return some unopened products I had purchased (I had my receipt for all of this). The girl at the front desk said she needed to go talk to the owner about this. After returning to the front desk/lobby area she said they would not refund me for anything, not even the products. She said the owner could try to fix it for free, but no refund. Obviously, I had no trust for this person and was not going to allow her to try to fix my hair, so I walked out losing over $200. I was shocked that the owner didn't even want to talk to me. I was an unhappy customer and she didn't care to address this situation face to face. I went there for a consultation a while back and was blown away by the lack of professionalism there. it started the second i walked through the door, with the girl at the front desk. she just didnt seem to be all there. then, the owner was ranting and raving with a stylist about drinking at the salon during their "wild parties" and to be honest, it seemed like she was drunk then too. the stylist that I had a consultation with seemed like she was just not paying attention because she wasn't comprehending what I was saying. all I wanted was a trim and subtle caramel highlights. not that hard, right? being military, we have lived everywhere and i have been to some of the best salons in this country and overseas., this one seemed to be promising.... but yet oh so very disappointing. all in all, I found an amazing salon called Lyndon's and there isn't a snobbish attitude from the owner or staff. no one looks and you and judges you by what you have on or by what your husband does...
