Amenities at Goode Park include a playground and a large pavilion with picnic tables and restrooms at the top of the hill. The park slopes down to a boat dock on Turkey Creek and a fishing pier that gives you a view of the water. Goode Park also has the event venue that can be rented called the Captains House. It holds 100 to 150 people and comes with use of a patio, the large dock, and the boat ramp. While the view of Turkey Creek was pretty my favorite part of the park was when I discovered a gopher tortoise near the parking area. The little guy was happily munching away. I am always glad to come across them because they are considered a threatened species here in Florida.

My latest boat issue took weeks to figure out, but they never gave up and they did not charge me for a lot of the diagnostic stuff that they could have. All they cared about was making sure that i was satisfied and that the boat ran. I took the boat back again because i was having trouble and they took the time to explain everything i was doing wrong, so it turned out to be operator error. No charge for the time they went through things to make sure all was correct. I will never take my boats anywhere but Carp. Jack and Bryan are the best.

In September 2024 I had Carp repair shifting problems I had on my Sea Ray. The manager at that time…read moreRon ( great guy) told me i needed both shifter and throttle cables. I approved the work and offered to pay extra to put the boat in the water to make sure all adjustments were correct. My boat was ready in March 2025, Ron retired, new manager named Jack. I added additional work to include installation of electric trim tabs. I tested the boat and found NO NEUTRAL, and upon shifting into REVERSE it would engage at high throttle. I returned the boat and explained to the new manager Jack. I also informed him the trim tab pistons were not tightened at all. Jack took the boat in. One week later I get a call from Jack that there is another cable inside the drive that was not changed. That this would fix the problem ( doubtful). I informed Jack that I would take the boat elsewhere to do the work correctly and completely the first time. When I went to pick up my boat I asked to speak with John the owner. He would not come out of his office to meet me. You may draw your own conclusions. I will never go back to this pla and I plan to educate consumers in the hopes nobody else suffers from this type of service.

I actually had to have a locksmith come out and change the locks because he refuse to communicate and give me my keys back, if somebody's in the hospital for three months. As his text messages say it's either in rehab or he was locked up in jail I would personally steer clear and hire a reputable company.

Very reasonable rates, a little hard to pin down, poor communication for arrival time. Overall, I would recommend for general maintenance items.
