The guys at Tommy's booth were very knowledgeable and helpful. After signing the contract Tommy's continued being just as helpful and were great at communication. When the impeller pulled something in, Tommy's was quick to set up a time to get service. They don't make promises they can't keep and certainly go beyond expectations. The pricing of adult beverages doesn't leave you wishing you had stopped in town, in fact some are cheaper than you can buy at the grocery! And entertainment???? July 4th fireworks last couple years has been pretty awesome! Every other weekend live music has been great (may be one who ended the night in Rocky Top with New York / New York but I don't see him back on the calendar! lol) And if you do have a cabin at Straight Creek and haven't ventured up to the Marina when they have an event, I hope you do! Great group of people are there! Moving on to staff...FIRST, let me say what they do is not contained inside the Marina store and the gas pumps. These employees take care of a heckuva lot more behind the scenes that what anyone cares to think of. Strong winds can come thru and break a line and a cabin gets loose, as a result a water line breaks free (sometimes unknown until cabin / boat owner arrives), oh and let's not forget (we've all been guilty) some forgot to arrange to have their tanks pumped and they call upon arrival wanting an immediate fix. The entire staff does everything they can do take care of all the requests we send in in a timely manner. Have there been hiccups? Suuuure, none of them are Gods but in moments when i've seen them stop to take a quick breather...I've seen them jump back up on to the next task. I'm confused how this business has a good rating I have had 2 interactions with them and both…read morewere negative. my son had his 1998 civic towed up there in hopes of replacing or rebuilding his engine. after a few days we go up there to see what was up. they informed us that they don't do bottom end engine work. why do you have the word specialist in your title if you can't rebuild that motor? they also informed us that they cannot find a replacement engine for the car. it's kinda funny that the shade tree mechanic was able to locate a motor fir the car in a couple days. the guy in the office recommended a couple places for my son to look for his own engine. I'm confused as to why these "specialists" couldn't look at the places they are telling him about. we don't work on cars. if we are trying to pay you to put a motor in I don't think it's unreasonable at all to expect you, the business to find a dam motor. they didn't want to work on his car. they were trying to talk him into scrapping the civic and getting another car because the labor alone was going to be so high. o yesterday they had his car towed they called him a couple times and he missed the calls mostly due to the fact that he works third shift. when I callled to give the so called manager Nick a piece of my mind he starts with all this"we are a business and we contacted him several times and told him what was up". I asked why they didn't call me. We have the same name, they have my number because I got an alternator installed the month before that they got right in the second try. isnt it amazing how the tow company didn't have any trouble ag all getting ahold of him. they got him in the first try! in my interactions they only care about their convenience and not much about the customers. we came up there together in the car they fixed for me on the second try and didn't identify us as father and son and that would have been the perfect time to tell him they are too lazy to find him an engine and if he can't find one by 30 days they are going to tow his car. if yiu are having car trouble save yourself the hassle and take your car towed Lerch's. they gave great prices and are well worth the wait. I wouldn't let these people work on a go cart after these 2 interactions.

He worked…read moreon our 2012 Hyundai Elantra Touring when it was having a noise from the passenger side of the motor (Belt drive area). Initially he thought it was the alternator making the noise and replaced it. Once replaced the noise was still happening, and he found out that it was the water pump. He called immediately and let us know that it wasn't the alternator (didn't charge for anything to do with it), and that the water pump wouldn't be available until the following day. Very honest and up front. Although he is in halls now , I wouldn't hesitate to use his services again.
