Outstanding team, great sales staff, excellent installation staff with a can-do attitude! I have a 1927 3 car garage that needed a new doors and lifts but had difficult clearance issues. The owner came out to see it personally and came up with a plan to install the exact Clopay doors and Liftmaster Jack shaft openers that we wanted. Julie's techs effectuated a really trick detail to make it all happen. This is the second project they have handled for us and it will not be the last ! BTW- We did shop around and got rude treatment and an "This isn't easy so I'm gonna screw you price" from another company beginning with a "B". The price was substantially higher for lower quality doors and standard openers. They got shut down for fraud. Took peoples deposit money to order the door, and never heard back from them.

We ordered 3 garage doors and paid the deposit in cash Last Sept. 22, 2025 and they gave us 6-8 week lead time. After 7 weeks i called them to follow up and they said in 2 weeks more because there was a delay in manufacturer and every time i call them they keep saying in 2 weeks. I asked for order number for my doors, me and my partner verified it and we found out that they gave me wrong order no. after a week we drove from CT to NJ to personally talk to Julie (the Owner) and i told her please let's start fresh be honest we need our doors she said it was ordered wrong for the first time so they needed to reorder it. Again i asked for the order number, she wrote it down on the paper and gave it to me. When we're heading back home we verified and it's a wrong order number again . That moment we decided to finally cancel our order, you can't trust the people and the company anymore. The very next day we drove back to their office and asked for the refund, I also asked Julie why she kept lying to us, and giving us those lies and excuses on why the doors are not arriving yet and giving us wrong order numbers. And she just said like I don't know why i gave you that!.(Really?!!) Until finally, she gave us post dated check dated Dec.16 and she told us don't deposit it before Dec. 16 because her loan will be approved by Dec 15th. By the way she told us that her company is going through a financial problem. So we complied and we did deposit the Check on Dec. 16th, but the check bounced. It was returned by the bank. We spoke to you personally, we were very nice, calm the last time we were there. you gave us too much stress and frustrations and we missed days from work to go to your office because we can't get answers from you on all our questions through phone and email. Aquarius door had the best price out of them all without any haggling and they came at the time they agreed to do an estimate. I initially wanted to get a single door done (double wide) but got both doors done since the price was great. Was given a lead time of about 3 weeks for the install as the door had to be custom ordered for the odd size. Install guys were fantastic as well. The company is local to Bergen county, family owned, and has prices that are quite competitive. Our problem was that one of our doors kept losing remote control and programming. I called the company to help us troubleshoot and a technician was sent. The tech, Brian, arrived and took 2 minutes (no exaggeration) to press the reset button on our garage door opener and bill us $95 for the house call. He did not explain the problem, try to diagnose the issue, or make any effort to actually provide any service. He didn't re-program any of the remotes, and didn't even check to see if the problem was solved. He just made sure the door opened and closed, told us the fee was $95 and said we'd receive a bill in the mail as he left. The problem recurred in 2 weeks and in an effort to avoid losing $95 again for a second service call, I read the manual, googled the problem and learned to reset the unit myself. This method allowed me to continue using the garage door opener for approximately 16 months (resetting the unit every 2 weeks). Finally, when the unit failed completely, I got fed up and called the company with my problem. I spoke with the owner Julie and told her that my experience with the first technician was terrible and that I would not pay again for a 2minute home visit. A new technician, Stuart (spelling?) was sent. He spent greater than an hour, over two separate visits during the same day, to diagnose that the circuit board was malfunctioning. He replaced the faulty part, re-programmed everything, and explained all the issues in a step by step fashion. The company also waived the second service call fee. I was very pleased with the company's attempt to correct the issues with their first technician (who, as of the writing of this reveiw, still works for the company by the way) and properly service my device. I urge any potential customers ask for Julie and Stuart by name, to avoid Brian, and to feel comfortable with the fact that the company will stand by their product. read more

The crew came same day, were very nice and even thou my husband felt that they rushed the job and one guy didn't wear a mask since we are amidst a COVID19 pandemic, I was happy to have had it done. What we didn't expect was a large hole in our ceiling w zero explanation. I called the next day and the owner Julie explained that it was where the old motor was located, great except IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO HEAR ABOUT THE HOLE FROM THE CREW INSTEAD OF HAVING A NEIGHBOR ASK "WHAT'S THAT?". Just finished having Aquarius Door do a complete install of a new replacement garage door for my home. My old door was "tired" and old! I just had an extension spring break yesterday so I needed help fast. Aquarius was simply great to work with, easy to do business with, quick to respond, and 100% professional. I can't emphasize that enough. The owner Julie and her staff couldn't have been easier to do business with, and completely up front and transparent on what things cost and what's needed. Really, if you don't read any further OK but don't ever think about using or buying anything for your garage door needs from anyone other than Aquarius Door. Back in 2009 I had previously used an un-named overhead door franchise company located somewhere around Pompton Plains and they installed new springs, pulleys, cables etc. I paid way too much but when your in a bad spot they know they have leverage over you and believe me, they exert that leverage and pressure you into buying over priced gear - way over priced! When I called this UN named overhead garage door company yesterday for repair service options, they quickly and conveniently explained that my equipment wasn't covered under their "lifetime guarantee" that I was sold in 2009- go figure. I think I spent close to $900 for a top of the line system. But in 6 years it's all worthless and broken. Speaking with them was worse than talking with a used car dealer, no clear answers or insight, no honesty, simply a bad company all around. Asking for a rough $$ estimate was like asking for the launch codes for a nuclear missile. No joke! BUT, then I spoke with Aquarius. After talking thru scenarios around repair vs buy a new door, it was an easy choice to get the new door and new equipment (all springs, cables etc.) all for a very reasonable price. Add to that the ability to have someone come to my house within 60 mins of us talking to inspect and confirm what I needed to have my custom sized garage door (16x6.6) installed by noon the next day was simply great. That blew me away. From 1st call to someone showing up was like 55 mins! The other garage companies I spoke to said it would take them more than a day just to come and inspect my garage etc., even though they say online that the inspection is free if they can't get there within 4 business hours. When I asked about this they said that only applies when they have 'availability' whatever that means.... No joke, don't throw your money away or waste your time talking to the other 2 companies that service Bergen Co for garage doors because Aquarius simply does it better, faster, easier, and at a much more reasonable rate. And you won't feel like you did the used car thing. My only complaint is that Aquarius Door made it too easy!! If you're looking for pushy sales reps to argue with and slick gimmicks and quoting tricks to argue about that will end up with you paying way too much more for an extra piece of cable, then don't consider using Aquarius, use that franchise overhead company and the company with Bergen in their name. Those other garage guys are great at the old bait & switch. But not Aquarius, they actually are good reasonable people who deliver on what they say they will do. read more

Let me start out by saying this company was very professional and the work they performed I cannot complain about. My problem is with the price. I had them come out for a repair on my opener. On top of the service call charge which I thought was quite high considering what was done, they charged me a 400% markup on the part. This was after a call was placed to the office when I questioned why the part was so expensive considering I looked it up prior to them coming. As you can see by my profile I don't generally do reviews, however this just hasn't been sitting right with me the past few days. In the end I did agree to the price so I guess that's my own fault.
