When my old long time pool guy retired and moved to the Havasu I wanted to find another local pool team but I also wanted someone whose company was capable of doing pool repairs and upgrades and this is an area were Aquatic Solutions excels. There are a lot of guys who will do your chemicals only for cheap out of a beat up old pick up truck but cant do anything else. This is not slander Jeff this is the truth. I have to take care of my pool myself cuz you boys can't do it but you want to take my money huh? Not this time mister! I fired them once because when I had a complaint the owner got sarcastic and smart with me. Great way to run a business. For one the pool in never vacuumed as "needed." If you want excuses and poor service look no further. The "lead" even lied to my mother-in-law when she said he had only been there for 5 minutes and did not even brush the pool. He said he was so fast that she didn't see him. In my best Maury voice- We looked at the camera, and that was a lie. Even though I am paying for it I had to ask several times to clean my filter like he was supposed to every quarter. We have had numerous issues and he will always say "I don't know what to tell you, I do this all on my own." Even the bills are often wrong as he forgets to put the payment in. One year of service. Do NOT recommend. I went with Aquatic Solutions because Bognor pools (company that build our pool) used them to train us on the pool equipment (believe it's a family company) Ultimately, I figured I'd keep the same company for weekly pool maintenance. So here's how service went. Pool tech, for the most part came at the agreed time and date for the first few months. Then, service started to lag as far as quality and punctuality. Pool tech would rush and most of the time the pool looked the same as when they arrived. Basically only tested the water and threw the required liquids. Now, when communicating with the company owner, Jeff, he always had excuses/demands and not solutions with the service he is providing. Never gave notice of pool tech not coming due to busy schedule or out, and expected me to just leave my gate unlocked for whenever they could squeeze my pool service in; which unless I reached out would not happen and even when I did ..still would not happen. These past months, the original pool tech was training other pool techs and things got worse. I understand staff needs to train new hires, but the service was so rushed and low quality. It really started to get frustrating when I was being told that the pool tech had stopped by "left a note" when he did not; someone is always home. This happened multiple times and I wouldn't even get a response from Jeff regarding when they would stop to service. There's a huge lack of integrity, consideration, and professionalism from Jeff and some of his pool techs. I do NOT recommend this company at all for pool maintenance. Pools are expensive to own, to maintain, to build. Every part, piece, and chemical is going to set you back. If you don't maintain a pool expect big bills. Now that I'm done with my soapbox. Jeff came out and handled a repair to the unions on my salt cell, in and out in 20 minutes. While I could have made the repair myself it would have taken me several hours. We don't necessarily pay for time, we pay for the skills and the years of experience to ensure things are done right the first time. Great work and thank you! read more

Landscapers clearing ravene behind our home pointed wood chipper at our home and created a disaster in our pool...We are in the process of selling our home with scheduled showing, needless to say we were stressed. This review is long overdue. After I have started to maintain my own pool, I knew a pool supply store and their maintenance guy charged $60 to teach me how to maintain my pool weekly and change filter. When he came to my house to open the filter compartment..... he was asking me when did I stop serviced with aquatic solutions? I replied "less than 2 weeks ago". So for the years that I had aquatic solutions, and when they were charging me $275 every 2-3 months for filter cleaning/change.......... I was told that the filter looked like it was never touched for years. The filter was disgusting and green/black with so many build up. The smell was so awful! Since I have moved out of the house, I asked the pool supply staff if he can maintain my pool. It is still pricey than maintaining your own pool BUT still a lot cheaper than aquatic solutions. We are first time home owners and first time pool owners and inherited a tragically mistreated pool. Initially, a different local area pool company was recommended to us and we hired them, but were really disappointed with their lack of communication and mistakes in their billing. So, we asked around again and were referred to Jeff with Aquatic Solutions. From the get go we have been SO impressed. Jeff and his crew member Joey have been taking care of our pool for a few months now and have always communicated with us on what's going on with our pool. Through them we've learned a lot about how to best care for our pool and have really come to rely on them for keeping our pool in tip top shape. Side note: As new Riverside residents we were NOT prepared for the Santa Ana winds and all the dirt and debris they dumped into our pool. I know Aquatic Solutions cannot control mother nature, but they have been responsive and helpful in getting our pool back to her former glory. I have a rental in Riverside that requires pool service. We hired Jeff to come once every week. He billed us as if he came every single week and brushed, vacuumed, netted, added chemicals, etc. Yesterday when we arrived at the rental to do work I noticed the pool was absolutely disgusting- very obvious he had not come in at least two weeks (he only came once in the last three weeks). We looked at the schedule and realized he hadn't been coming every week since July 2019. When my mom contacted him, he made excuse after excuse and said (and I quote him directly) "I answered the phone, what else do you want?" He said if they received complaints that they would've come and cleaned the pool so my question for Jeff is- Do you only do your job when you are reminded and receive complaints? Why is receiving a $125 check in advance each month not enough of an incentive for you? I am pregnant and had to clean that entire pool myself because Jeff and his employees were too lazy to do the job they were paid for. No excuse why it couldn't have been done. To not apologize and even be rude, was extremely unprofessional of this "business owner." He has a nasty attitude and I would never recommend him to anyone. I am a young single woman and could run a business better than this so called "man." He takes advantage of his clients and has no regard to anyone's life except his. In a time like this, you would assume he would want to keep every client, but he is now blacklisted from each of our properties and we will always recommend against him. Jeff is full of excuses and reasons why a job can not be completed correctly by his workers. We have used him for the last few months upon his first Visit he pointed out many components that were not working correct as to his reason of the pool not working correct , He quoted us several thousand dollars of work that we completed and to this day 5 months later his staff is lazy and full of reasons why the pool is green and all of which is my fault. Since April of 2019 I have text over 10 pictures weekly of the pool being green and he said it's because the pump is not running for enough hours , Well Jeff you set it for 4 hours daily to run , then he sends techs out with not the right equipment or chemical s to service the pool even tho I text him 4 days prior with pictures and he identified the issue as a fall out of some sort, So makes sense to not send the chemicals right ?! Then he is insulting in text messages to me after I'm asking him why he is not doing the job hired?! Like it's my fault ?! I would stay far away from this crew he clearly had more jobs then he can handle and taking hard earned money and not providing a service. He also lies never sends techs when he says just awful business practices. STAT AWAY ! Let's start by saying that what you are told you're going to get in this contract is not true. I paid for the biggest service package monthly and it was told to me that I will receive filter cleaners quarterly as well as small repairs will be included. This was not true. had I known this I would have just paid for the basic package and make sure that I covered my repairs on my own as I end up doing anyway. Jeff is very unprofessional and is very rude in any response that I replied to him to let him know what type of service I expected versus what I was getting I was told to Google it or do it myself. My first issue was after his service guy serviced my pool. I guess he called himself cleaning out my salt generator. From that point on I had one issue after another it continued to leak which ended up me paying $180 to repair the ring on the salt generator. It continued to leak after it was repaired I made several calls in the first call I was told just tighten up the ring and it'll stop but it never stopped so I insisted that they send someone back out. After my salt generator was serviced by the tech again from that point no lights came on at all and it continues to leak to this day when I run my pool. When I called Jeff who was not the person who came to look at it or never once came to look at it he told me that that's normal for my salt generator to turn off doing the cold season. This I know is not true because I had my pool complete construction with all new equipment in 2018 and it never lost power period during cold season. From that day which was December of 2020 I decided that I would stop using this service through aquatic pools because it seemed that from the time that I hired them nothing but problems kept surfacing from their service. Don't let me leave out the fact that the service tech does not sweep the walls of your pool or the bottom of your pool and chemicals were rarely balanced as they should be. I knew this because after a while my husband who began to work from home while on quarantine notice that the moment that he would come in 2 to 5 minutes later he was gone. I began to check my camera to verify. Me myself have taken at least 10 minutes to 15 minutes just to properly sweep the pools myself. If you want to protect your pools equipment and have a safe clean pool for your family and friends to enjoy it please do not use this service with this guy. He is unfriendly and very rude. I don't feel like his techs were very rude and he will not let you communicate with his techs and I'm sure there is a reason behind that. It leads me to wonder if his texts are unhappy or treated well. read more

About two years ago our former pool cleaning company went out of business and we were referred to Aquatic Solutions. We called Jeff Martin and he offered the same price that we used to pay. He didn't mention that he would charge extra for filter clean and salt so we ended up paying around 25% more for his service. The service was supposed to be weekly and he left a card by the pool where his employee would note the dates that he came out to do the cleaning. During the last year we noticed that in some weeks there was a date missing but than the next week two dates were filled in, the date of the current week and the previous week. On our electricity account we could see the days that he came for the pool service and we noticed that some weeks he would just not come by but the following week he wrote down that he was there. So when this happened again we asked him if he came out that particular week and he said yes, even so nothing was noted on the card. He said we would have algae in the pool if it wasn't cleaned every week. So the next week he again wrote down two dates, the previous week and the current week but we knew that he did not come out the previous week. We have sent him three emails asking for an explanation but he would not respond. He just went silent with no explanation or apology and since we paid in advance, he did not issue a refund. He was straight out lying and didn't even have the courtesy to respond to our emails. If he did it to us, he will do it to his other customers as well. On top of everything there were a lot of times I was just trying to find a part cheaper however the owner just bought the part and billed for it without even asking, As if my wallet was his. A couple of years ago we hired Aquatic Solutions to service our pool. We had them service our pool for about a year. They always keep the pool really clean. That is why I am giving Jeff two stars. However, before we terminated with Jeff, he started sending us email bills over and over. It was like he had accounting software that automatically bulled when a button was pressed. Someone was pressing it multiple times. We paid out the bill right on time. Then he called us and was mad the we hadn't paid him. I told him we paid right on time and he should be getting the check soon. He still said we owed him more money. It took me hours to try to figure out what he was taking on to his bills. Every time I got another bill, something else was added on to it. We are used to getting a bill from a company every month with all of the items charged listed on the bill. But Jeff sent us about 5 bills a month. We would pay the first one. Then others came in. It was very confusing. Then I noticed that were we getting charged exorbitant bills for chemicals and filter cleanings. Before Jeff took over I was taking care of the pool. Granted it wasn't taken care of as best it could before Jeff took over. I was just too busy to take care of it at the time. I am sure the chemicals were not as costly as he was charging me. We also had a problem with filter cleaning. I took a picture of the pressure gauge before he billed me for a filter cleaning. I realized that he hadn't cleaned it because he billed me for it and it was still at the same pressure during the month he billed me. I called Jeff on this and he denied this. Watch out. This company is very unprofessional and tried to scam me. I've taken care of my own pool for years but had become too busy to keep up with it when the weather started warming up so I decided to hire a pool man. I found this companies website which stated that for $90 a month they would come by once a week for chemical check and balance, equipment check, brushing walls and tiles, skim pool surface, vacuum, empty skim and pump baskets. It also states that there is a free filter cleaning for new customers and that all chemicals are included in the package. Well they didn't clean the filter until the third week which was after I ended up cleaning it myself after they left the pump running with the filter so clogged it could barely suck any water through it and I thought the motor was going to overheat and blow up. The needle on the gauge was clearly in the "clean filter" range which leads me to believe they weren't exactly checking my equipment. On their fourth visit I was actually at home when the guy came and I watched him as he did check the chemicals and added some to the pool. Then he skimmed off a few floating leaves, turned my pump on and left. He was there for all of 5 minutes. I figured he was going back out to his truck to get his hose and vacuum or I would have gone out and stopped him. I checked the pool thinking maybe he had already vacuumed before I noticed he was even there but there was still dirt and leaves on the bottom and it was clear he did not sweep or vacuum. I called them up to tell them what had happened and talked to the owner Jeff. He tried to tell me that maybe the wind had blown the dirt and leaves into the pool after their guy had left. I let him know that I had actually watched him only skim the surface with a net and that was it. Jeff called his employee to find out what happened and then called me back and told me that my pool wasn't dirty enough that it needed to be vacuumed. He then said that they don't have time to spend an hour at every pool to vacuum if it's not that dirty. I had to remind him that his $90 package specifically states a weekly brushing and vacuum. This was also around the time I got my first months statement, that was about $150 more than the $90 I was expecting, because of some chemicals that they put in the pool. I was never told or warned up front that there could be extra charges, and their website clearly states that "ALL" chemicals are included.
