I use the gym facilities (including the eGym system which is very cool), and we have thought about taking advantage of some of the childcare options they offer like "parents night out" The place hasn't changed a ton since it first opened. The locker rooms could use a refresh but the workout areas are solid. I'm not currently a pool user so I can't comment on that. I do feel like the cost to benefit ratio is worth it - especially for a family membership.

Unfortunately, from my experiences here; that is the furthest from the truth. Due to the fact that I am not a large donor of the YMCA, those who do donate are basically buying a pass to be terrible people and the YMCA as a cooperation are allowing it. They raise their fees with 0 notice and charge late fees when it's on THEIR end. For example, they didn't notify me that my payment didn't go through until a week after the normal charge date. They waited so that I could get charged a late fee and now they won't let me cancel my membership. Terrible place to call a "family center". Even Planet Fitness is better than here Edit: a lady i reached out to came back to me by email. She said an email was sent to me the same day the payment was declined but that was false. I check my emails periodically throughout the day and nothing was sent, not even in my junk folder. She went on to discuss the policy and waiver that was signed but i think that was a cover up for their problems with communication. Not to mention the people at the front desk don't know anything. It has a pool, hot tub, sauna, many eliptical, stationary bikes and treadmills as well as other types of stationary machines. The view of the inlet and nearby park is wonderful while you work out. The free weight area is nice and the members and staff are very willing to help you and show you how to use the machines. The personal training pros can really help you meet your fitness goals. However, since we're in a pandemonium (pandemic) this was my only option and I was pleasantly surprised that this place is like any other gym. The staff is cool, the set up flows well so you can move from one machine to another in the muscle group you're working. The amenities are great and the hydro chair is my favorite.
