Yesterday, Sunday, my cat started to limp and seemed to be in a lot of pain. I was screened by a…read morevery patient and gentle receptionist who let me know that the wait could be over 2 hours as they had over 30 emergencies and only 4 veterinarians on duty. I understood, but asked if, maybe, a technician could assess my one-year-old Abyssinian cat's paw as he seemed to be in pain and was constantly licking his sore paw. I paid a deposit of $155.00, and within in a fairly short period of time, my cat was checked out by both a technician and a vet who cleared him to go home. I was expecting a huge bill as I think the usual cost for an assessment in emergency care is over $300.00, but, to my surprise and relief, they told me to "keep an eye on it ", and that "the visit was free". The receptionist reimbursed my deposit. It's good to know that this emergency care is open 24/7 if my own vet is not available.
