Excelente comida, servicio y lugar. Cenamos el pacu, surubí y mandioca con una caipiriña...,todo una delicia! Recomendable 100%

After a hot, crowded day at Iguazu, we were headed to a place on that street, but the line was insane. While we were looking up another place, a local lady addressed us in English and recommended this place. We had the local starter plate, pacu, the tenderloin, and got the local draft beer. All the waiters spoke English, explained each dish to us, and were super attentive. The tenderloin was thick, huge, and cooked to perfection. The vegetable stuffing on the pacu went really well with the fish, and I enjoyed it a lot. A really great experience, and compared to the prices back home.. not bad at all. Oh, and I read this in several reviews, but if you want a medium rare steak, order medium!

One of the top two restaurants in this part of town. Outstanding service, great value for money, excellent wine list with very inexpensive wines. The beef was awesome, my wife's fish was great. French fries came out nice and hot, which is not a given in this part of the world.

In Iguazú, Argentina. We tried the biggest and yummiest T-bone steak. Argentina is known for grass fed beef. Cooked perfectly and thought I wouldn't finish it but we did.

It was our first few hours in Iguazu, and some had went on the bus, and others had flown. But we all were so hungry! Aqva was the perfect place, the ambiance, the cleanliness and the staff were stellar. The food was also amazing. We split the shrimp tempura appetizer, and I got a pork shoulder dish. My friends got mushroom risotto, shrimp linguini, and the tropical salad. We all loved everything. And we ended up getting the dessert sampler as recommended by our waitress. Only have a pic of the dessert bc we all were so hungry! But GO HERE! You won't regret and it will be a great start to your trip here.

I visited Aqva randomly and blindly. I had arrived to Iguazu that morning but our tour guide was late to pick us up and I called the travel agent about it. Because we waited over 30 minutes for our driver after our plane landed, he made a reservation for this restaurant and paid for everything. I'm happy he chose this restaurant because I got to try the river fish that so many people recommended to us. The service was actually quick and attentive as well as friendly and helpful. We only speak a little Spanish but our waiter was fluent in English so that helped a ton. I ordered the river fish and my husband ordered the shrimp pasta. Both were excellent!

Aqva was recommended to us by many, so we had to try them. We were able to have a late lunch, and it was terrific. Aqva has a huge menu, but we were looking for a lighter lunch and therefore chose salad and soup. My husband chose a mixed salad, and it was fresh and large. I chose the vegetable soup of the day and a caprese salad. The veggie soup and caprese salad were both some of the best I've tasted. The soup broth was puréed vegetables with whole vegetables mixed in. The caprese salad was very interesting in that the basil component was swipes of basil pesto, the tomatoes were a mix of fresh and sun dried, and the mozzarella was slices of typical mozzarella with a large portion of burratta in the middle. All of this was topped with a nice sprinkling of chopped black olives. Everything was delicious and the only reason to not say five stars was that the service was a bit slow.

Honestly the Best Restaurant we had while in the Iguazu area. The only downside was that the restaurant AC was down so it was a bit hot. Other than that, the food here was cooked to perfection. The portions were a bit small but the food quality made up for it. We got the Local fish dishes and they flavors were super unique and the fish super tender. The Smoked Fish Ravioli was delicious as well. The service was nice and so were the appetizers.

I am fairly certain that this is by far the restaurant and food option in town. The location is conveniently located at bus stop terminal for Iguazú falls. Very friendly staff, great ambience. They will also take USD in cash and help you save a trip to Western Union. Overall, great dining experience. Highly recommended!

Sadly, I was not as impressed with Aqva as most other Yelpers. We were starving, and excited for some Argentian cuisine on our first day in Iguazu! I ordered the Aqva steak and my dining partner ordered the El Dorado. He loved the fish, but I was unimpressed with the steak. I thought it was tough and overseasoned with oregano (could have been something else)? Prices were on the higher end, which is fine for a fancier meal, I just wish I would have been as impressed with the food as I wanted to be. On a happy note, service was very good and there is free Wifi.

Visited Iguazu for a few days and ended up eating here twice. This restaurant is amazing! Food is out of this world! Great service too. I was traveling through Chile, Argentina and Brazil and the steak at Aqva was hands down the best steak I ate on my entire trip. I recommended to friends who went and loved the food as well. I regret not going back a third time before I left!

Wow, the steak was so amazing!!! This was the second best meal I had while visiting Argentina. The #1 best meal was Don Julio's in Buenos Aires. After a long day in the sun visiting the falls, you can't beat the atmosphere, great wine selection, wonderfully nice staff and amazing food. It was also great to get a variety of veggies which believe it or not, is hard to come by in Argentina. 5 stars for sure. Can't wait to take my husband back next year.

It was done in a small group environment (we had around 10 people), and everyone was very social and welcoming. The experience featured a 10 dish tasting menu, 3 Argentinian wines, an empanada making class, and a mate and cocktail experience. All of the drinks and food were very good. I honestly don't think there was a single thing that I didn't enjoy. The experience did not feel rushed whatsoever, and people were free to drink as much wine as they liked. I also felt like this experience gave me a really nice introduction to a lot of different Argentinian flavours! I got to try alfejores for the first time, and I got to make my very own mate (an earthy tea, that's a very important part of Argentinian culture, and you frequently see people drinking it on the streets). I truly believe anyone that travels to the Argentinian side of Igauzu needs to check out this experience!

He also "hung out" with other staff whilst holding our (and other patrons') food rather than dropping it off. We sat right next to the water feature. Looks cool, right? Yeah, it's covered in flies and other random insects. The little black specks on the table cloth weren't spilled pepper! Fried calamari was spot on! Super crisp outside, tender inside- nailed it! The mixed drink (something fruity with vodka) was also quite good. The bread basket was all stale and crumbly- worst we'd had in 3 weeks in Argentina. We ordered the duo de pescados and caprese salad to share. TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENTS the fish was crazy salty and WAY overcooked. Both pieces were literally burned on the skin side leaving the flesh devoid of any moisture- barely edible. The salad was another train wreck. They switched out buffalo mozzarella for a giant log of very dense string cheese cut into pucks. Add some grey, wilted basil leaves, tomato and a pesto drizzle and you have their version of a classic. Wait, don't forget the walnuts. Yep, they tossed walnuts into their ensalata caprese. Crappy tourist trap that you'll never miss. Lots of other great places to dine in Iguazú.

We tried the seafood and prawn spaghettini and the fettuccine bolognese with veal and lamb. The seafood with the spaghetti was fresh, the flavour combination was perfect, the pasta was perfectly al dente. The fettuccine was obviously a house made fresh pasta, cooked to perfection. The bolognese sauce was not the typical tomato based bolognese sauce, but went with the fresh pasta very nicely. We also tried multiple grilled meats... As would be expected from an Argentine restaurant, the streaks were tender and cooked to our tastes. We also tried the rack of lamb, but would not recommend it. But I said no, because I really don't when no one drives for me, hah.. and no one to share dishes that I want to order. But not everyone has the luxury to travel in all the odd timings throughout the year, so I rest my case. I was the only guest in this rather spacious restaurant in the small border town. Italian operas were played in the background. The first piece when I sat down was Verdi's Rigoletto. Suddenly i thought of someone- this was the first opera we watched together. We were so shy and naive. The grandpa-like owner came by to take orders. His English was limited as noted by the previous Yelpers, but he made it up by body language and facial expressions. ;) He explained only a few items on the menu were available. I ordered red grape fondue to start, and spinach lasagna as the main. Red grapes were split open and filled in with cream cheese, and then to be dipped into a small plate of hot cheese fondu in the middle. It was creative and tasted quite interesting. The spinach lasagna was a plethora of cheese and spinach- the cheese was overpowering... I tried very hard and finished nearly half. Grandpa asked me to bag the rest and I obliged for fear of disappointing him and "my lady" as he called his wife. :) For dessert, as usual, I tried two. Tiramisu was a bit dry and oversweet, then I went for a chocolate mousse- smooth but sweeter than I can bear. The 3rd option was a pear with something something. I loved my waiter's body expressions but could only determine it's probably very sweet.. hah In all, I enjoyed the way I was treated and amused on a rather chilly night on the first day of July, 2019, in the Argentine winter.
