After some beginning exercises, you get to pick whatever you want to paint. I have never seen anyone leave with a bad painting. I don't even know how Tom does what he does, but he manages to coax the best out of every student. I've been going for three years now. I had never taken painting lessons before. I'm always surprised by how good my paintings look. My classmates have all created really excellent work. Some of my fellow students are art teachers. Some are art students putting together portfolios. Most of us are just hobbyists. The classes are de-stressing and fun. They always go too fast, even though they are 3 hours. I highly recommend these classes for anyone who has ever wanted to paint. I can't speak for the other classes, but there other types of art taught like sculpture and fashion design. The work I've seen from those students is really terrific too. I'm no Monet, but I've included three photos of my work so you can see what to expect in the way of results. The teacher came late and additionally she said that we are going to wait for other kids. Still wait and waste time!! we didn't even know if anyone is coming for sure. I asked why? This doesn't make sense. My daughter is here on time. We can start. We don't want to waste more time waiting for someone who maybe is not coming at all. She wasn't happy with what I said but she took my daughter inside the class and still didn't start the class. The woman at the front desk went inside to talk to the teacher so she finally started the class. Only one more child attended the class later that day. I was afraid that after I said something the teacher is going to be not nice to my daughter, picking on her and that's what happened... my daughter was crying most of the time. Is it a coincidence?? I took her out and said that this was probably our last time here and asked for refund. Couple days later I received an email saying about no refund policy and also saying that my child cut her finger and that's why she cried. Seriously?? First of all I didn't see any cut on a finger and secondly how she would do it. There was only two kids and a teacher. What was the teacher doing??? Also I want to mention that they cannot accommodate makeup classes!!! Their policy includes makeup classes and I called once to schedule a makeup class. They were not able to do it. They suggested to bring my daughter for the older class kids to watch. Nonsense!! I paid for the class, they couldn't schedule a makeup class and they don't refund for the class!!! To me, this school is my scape, my breath of fresh air, and actually the space for myself, where I can actually turn back in time and be young again (yup! Pretty much like teleporting!). I've taken vocal lessons, drum lessons and belonged to adult band for about 4 years now, and everything has been just beautiful and so fulfilling. They are my family. They actually move me away from my personal reality and get me into a space for freedom, my freedom. And that is priceless. In regards to the staff, Heather, she is one of the most lovable persons I've ever met. Always there to help, with her amazing personality and smile; and Chris, the school director, wow, he is the dream-maker, so caring and so engaged to the students, always understanding and really a genius on its own. All the teachers I've met are highly skilled in their instruments and are incredible human beings. From what I see, little kids and young kids are always in heaven, grasping all these rocking opportunities, understanding what amazing music is, and the level of learning and music education is just amazing. Instead of politely explaining the process, the owner yelled at us and snapped, "You're not the only ones here!" Funny thing... we actually were the only customers there. The entire studio feels disorganized, and unfortunately, the owner's people skills are even more scattered. Her manners are almost their own form of comic relief--except no one was laughing. A little kindness, basic organization, and clear signage would go a long way. Pottery is supposed to be a relaxing, creative experience, not one where customers get scolded for not reading signs that don't exist. I won't be back, and I definitely wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a welcoming atmosphere. One star.

I contacted Code Ninjas and addressed this, asking for a refund and for them to discontinue taking payments, the manager said he would take care of it, thus thought it was a done deal. 8 months later I realized that payments were still being taken from my account and had cost me over $2k for services that I could not have possibly used since I had moved from the area and are no longer near a Code Ninjas. I would advise anyone considering them to take measures to keep your child off the internet via monitoring, and to pay per visit or monthly. Show less
