The theater is unassuming, on a little strip mall, where there's plenty of parking ... and once inside...it's magic! The stage makes great use of space and very creative with the set and lighting. Seating is excellent... not a bad seat in the house. I didn't know photos weren't allowed, the one picture I took and posted of the set was when I walked in. Oops I turned off my phone after that was announced. I loved the play and the theater. I plan to come back again and again! Oh, we are still in COVID times, so everyone in the audience need to wear a mask.

The shows are always thought provoking and intimate. The main stage is always surrounded by seating with viewers close enough to reach out and touch the cast members. They are very creative with lighting and sets to make the most of what they have. The theater offers concessions and beverages to consume during the shows, however this has been suspended during the pandemic. From the street the theater is part of a strip mall on Osseo and isn't anything remarkable. Parking is plentiful and fairly well lit. The theater still requires proof of vac, and that patrons wear masks. Being in a high risk category, I appreciate the precautions! Yellow Tree is a great local theater worthy of your attention! Give it a try and have some fun! Photos aren't allowed, so none have been included.

She was positive and encouraging when working through technique and through pieces. Natalie worked in-house with me and was willing to cater to my schedule to find a time that would work for lessons for the both of us. Lessons with Natalie were amazing and I highly recommend her as a teacher!

She's also very flexible with her schedule and time which is very helpful as a busy college student or when I have a packed summer. On top or that, she's very fun and easy to talk to -- literally I can talk to her about anything and she shows genuine interest in getting to know me outside of music like my interests and how I'm doing in general. She has a really calm and friendly aura which makes her a very comforting person to be around! For lessons, whenever I make mistakes or get confused she's very patient and understanding and goes on to give very helpful feedback. She's attentive and detailed and often catches errors that I never would've caught otherwise. She's also really encouraging and helped me a lot in staying motivated with my practice! I also really love how prepared she is! On our first lesson she came with a folder of so many great pieces I could play for solos and she also came with packets of practice techniques to help me improve my skills, which we'd go through together step by step. It kept me busy and I never got bored with practicing since I had a lot of material to practice with! Overall, amazing teacher and I can't wait to work with her again in the future! Highly recommend :D

This a review for the Improv Classes only. This is my story. I signed up for the Improv 101…read moreclasses. This was all new to me. Thought it would be fun. I live in the rural area outside of Minneapolis, so I drove 40 minutes to enjoy fun and create comedy with other non-comedy people. Other average people. Not what happened. Let me explain... This is all new to me. So, during one of the warm-up exercises. It was the one-word poem exercise. Sounds cool. The fours words leading up to me, were, "The"..."Cows"... "Were"... "Making"... Which then left me to think up a word that kept the poem alive... I picked the word "Whoopie". The room stopped. 3 to 4 people in the group, which told me that the word Whoopie was inappropriate, and I needed to change the word choice right away. They all had urgency in their voices... I was taken aback... What? My word "Whoopie" caused you to stop everything? I was only doing what felt natural. I was told by 4 people that my improv was wrong. I needed to change my word choice. WTF? Really? Whoopie? Woke people are everywhere. They stand and make you feel shamed into thinking just like them. No more free expression. All this shaming because of the word Whoopie? If you're thinking of taking Improv classes at Comedy Sportz. Read what I've experienced and go if you want. I'm totally off this group. Nothing personal Comedy S, your people are too judgmental of everyone outside their circle. I said the word, WHOOPIE? REALLY? I'll keep telling everyone how your people shamed the heck out of me that night at class. I'm hurt. TD Riggs Comedian. P.S. I did talk to the class teacher later during break. He didn't seem to care. The second half of the class, those same people talked comedy about mating with animals and breeding to make animal children. What? Bestiality is OK, but Whoopie isn't? Run far away from the hypocrisy of these classes, less you want to become them. lol. Hated the feeling they gave me.
