Can't figure out how this place is getting such high ratings. Bad sheets! On the good side--front desk lady was very nice and helpful, the room was clean. I asked for a non-pet room due to some allergies, she said they don't have any non- pet rooms but clean 'very thoroughly' (but they all say that), and the room was clean. There was a strong bleach odor in the room. Dissipated after a while and I suppose that's more evidence of thorough cleaning, so okay. BUT, there was something very wrong with the sheets. As soon as I laid down, I started itching, which quickly progressed to feeling almost like a sunburn. I do not have particularly sensitive skin and I've never had an issue like this before. I don't know if it was due to bad quality sheets or some sort of chemical-type treatment of them or both, but it was bad. I was ready to go sleep in the car but ended up getting dressed and sleeping on top of the quilt. Husband did not have the same issue but he was in the other bed so maybe it was just my sheets. Otherwise, I'd say this is an adequate place for a one night stay en route somewhere, but I wouldn't stay here again. read more

Super clean, great customer service, comfy beds. Each room has a large fridge and freezer, microwave, and mini coffee pot. I appreciated the paper plates and utensils that were provided too. There are some units with kitchens, and there are communal grills available outside. I slept well, waking up once and hearing the guy next door snoring, so if you're super sensitive to noises you might bring earplugs. read more

This place is nicer on the inside than I expected. My room was very cute and had a personal touch. Felt more like an Airbnb or someone's guest room than a hotel. The staff were great as well, the lady who answered the phone was willing to leave my key under the mat for my 4 AM arrival. And she even offered to leave the window open for me for some fresh air. This little place is a real gem, I called on short notice looking for a room not really expecting to find one since there's a wildfire in the area and most of the rooms in town are taken. As a firefighter I don't always have options and in most cases I'm sleeping in a tent so being able to get a room is a real luxury. We work on the road and deal with many RV parks. Oakridge RV Park, whole smaller, has been a wonderful experience. We arrived in March and stayed for a couple months. The managers are extremely hospitable and accommodating. They take amazing care of the area. Dog friendly along Salmon Creek The highway is not loud at all. Considering the park is off the highway. We had crew members staying in the arbor inn motel as well. They were really pleased with the rooms. There is a great path to walk or ride on, along the creek. There is a permanent resident portion of the park separate from the temporary spots we were at. Quiet and neighborly. 4/5 stars only because there isn't any cable. We will be back in the fall! read more

Stayed a few nights and really enjoyed my experience. Looks like the room was newly redone and the bed was super comfy. Went in the winter and noticed so many outdoor things to do and will definitely return when it gets warmer so I can enjoy the lakes nearby. So, just tried this RV park again. It is under new ownership and new management. Super friendly manager! Great experience. We used the back area for camping and did not need a pull through, hook up site. The manager let us use a gas fire pit which was super awesome (we are getting one). We stayed May 14 - 15, 2021. I made the reservation directly by phone a few days before. The Arbor Inn was wonderful. Everything was spotless. The toaster in the regular room (not even a room with a kitchen) was super helpful. A larger than normal motel refrigerator was also great as was the larger area table. The beds were softer and super comfy, even sleeping on my side. An extremely reasonably priced room with an extra $15 for my dog made this a great deal. The motel managers (owners, I think) were professional and friendly and the cleaner named Jule (I believe) was super. We stayed just one night (Fri. - Sat.) to check out the area, Salt Creek Falls and the Office Covered Bridge, etc. and really enjoyed the town. I have an extremely sensitive nose and was thrilled that the room had no detergent odors. The floors are vinyl hardwood so obviously there would be no carpet cleaner odor (thankfully), but there was also NO dryer sheet, Gain, Tide or oxy-clean type detergent odors which adhere and linger and are often used, heavily, by smaller motels. There is a nice path along the river on the other side of the attached RV park that is great for walking the dog. They even have doggie bags if you don't bring your own. We would stay here again, anytime, and hope to get to soon. Thank you. read more

This is a little old motel that is being spruced up. It is not fancy and feels old, but it is clean and the beds are new and super comfy and the people running the place are great. And the price is right!!! We stayed 3 nights while mountain biking and it was great. We stayed in room 7 which is a suite, meaning there is a separated area with the bed. This was nice for us traveling with our 1 year old because we could put her to sleep in the 'bedroom' (there's no door but it worked) and hang out in the living/dining/kitchen room area without keeping her in a lighted room or disturbing her. The staff were very helpful and even brought us a tiny dog/baby gate so we could keep our door open in the nice weather and not worry about baby wandering out. We got a really great deal because it was off-peak season and they were running a special for multiple nights and we are fine with old and funk as long as it's clean and nice. But if you are someone who is going to be put out by a shower head that doesn't allow even a 5' 7" person to stand under it without ducking and a sink so low in the bathroom you have to stoop to wash your hands then don't stay here but if you have to have new and fancy go someplace else. We are happy to support a more local economy however and had a great stay. I would not stay here however if it cost $100. read more

I used their RV Park for some tent camping while I was in town for work and I found the staff to be very friendly helpful and cordial they hooked me up with a good site right next to the restroom laundry building and checked on me several times during my stay to be sure I was comfortable I will use their facilities again when I am in the area read more

Really nice stay! Not your average motel! Very clean, Super cute room with nice furniture and wood floors. They had a nice flat screen smart tv so we could watch our Netflix at night. They upgraded us to a room with a little kitchenette which we didn't end up using but it was nice to have forks and stuff in the room. The only downside was our shower didn't have any pressure to it but I still keep it at 5 stars considering what we paid for the room. The cleaning staff greeted us kindly in the morning on our way out and the owner who checked us in was also very nice. Only 30 min from Willamette pass resort! read more

Reserved a room based on Yelp reviews of this "mom and pop" motel adjacent to an RV Park. The owner was very pleasant and helpful allowing us to check in late which was nice. Unfortunately, the room was extremely uninhabitable. The musky smell in the room led us to immediately pull the covers off the bed to do a quick inspection and found 20+ small hairs in one bed, and some disturbing small blood spots on the bottom of a pillowcase which points to a possible bedbug infestation. There was even a hair stuck to the wall above the headboard. Very disappointing and I felt bad complaining to this small business owner as she offered to give us another room, but we could not stay there after that. She did give me a quick refund of the $55 nightly fee and we scooted down the road to the Best Western. The nearby Cascade Motel is clean and affordable but they were booked. read more

My wife and I felt like making a spontaneous trip to Oakridge to check out the local Hot Springs. But we didn't want to drive home in the dark if we could help it and we also didn't have a lot of money to stay the night. What to do? I called Arbor Inn and Linda gave me advice about the springs and she sounded so authentic that we decided to swing in and book a room. Glad we did! For the low dollars, I was afraid we might have to stay in a grungy dive, but the personal, homey touches that these new owners put into their rooms made a good impression, the bed was great, the rooms are old but refurbished and very clean. And their customer service was top notch. They helped us plan out the rest of our short visit to this cute town and we told them we would definitely be back! I think we got what we paid for and then some. Anybody who pays such a low rate and expects the Ritz is unrealistic. Greg and Linda made a cheap night very pleasant. read more

We stayed at the Arbor Inn for several days in June 2019 and found the proprietors, Laurie and Paul, to be exceptionally helpful & friendly. Our room was updated, very clean and comfortable and we were provided with a delicious breakfast daily. We accidentally left several boxes in a drawer when we vacated and didn't realize they were missing until we arrived home in California. Laurie and Paul were so accommodating and helpful. They mailed the boxes to us even trusting us to pay for the postage after they mailed the items. We have never had such all around good treatment at a motel and will certainly stay with them again when we are in the Oakridge area. We highly recommend staying at the Arbor Inn. read more

Stayed in the RV park - hubby wanted to be by the river. The view of the river was nice. As one reviewer said, lots of traffic noise & almost constant sirens during one whole day. Bathrooms weren't the best - only one stall closed/locked, showers were ok. Just your basic "park the rv & enjoy the surroundings" adventure. We may go back in the summer when there should be more to do and it will be nicer to be outside. read more

It all started out fine. I called from the road to see if there were available sites and spoke with a man who said there were. He said to call him back when we pulled into town. I let him know we were a couple hours away, but he said they were always around and were just away from the desk cooking dinner at that time. We would normally camp in one of the quiet forest campgrounds near town, but we had been on the road a few days camping out of our van and were looking forward to having a shower... We arrived in Oakridge just before 9:00 pm and I called the number once again as instructed. No one answered. We pulled in and tried to go into the motel office. The open sign was on, but no one was there. We rang the bell, no reply. We tried calling again, still no answer. There was a note posted that if it was after hours ( no hours posted that we saw), you could just choose a site and settle up in the morning. So, we did just that. Unfortunately, we quickly found out that the bathrooms and showers were locked and because we couldn't get anyone to answer the phone or come to the hotel desk, we were stuck. We tried calling the number for the park manager once more, but again, no answer. We debated what to do, but were not too excited to drive around trying to find another spot to camp at that point. We stayed and figured we would catch up with the management in the morning and hopefully could get access to the bathrooms for a shower then. The next morning we still didn't see any sign of anyone in charge. We went back to the hotel desk and even though the open sign was still on, it was locked up. It was after 9am. We started loading up to leave since we still had no bathroom access. We had the side door to the van open while we were preparing to leave and a small dog approached. I closed the door because our dog was inside the van and I didn't want him to jump out while we were trying to finish up. We left, went and had breakfast and then went to the local bike shop to pick up a trail map. While we were in the parking lot reviewing the map, a man approached our van and started accusing us of slamming the door in his face when he tried to talk to us at the RV park that morning. He then just walked away angrily. My husband tried to talk with this man and a woman who was with him, but they basically just accused us of squatting in their campground and stealing from them! We tried to explain how we had called numerous times and that we rang the bell at the hotel desk. We told them we really had just wanted access to the bathrooms and showers, but the doors were all locked. They said they lock the doors because of people like us. We asked the man why he didn't knock on the van door that morning when he said we slammed it in his face... It was an obvious misunderstanding, especially after all our failed attempts to get in touch with them. He had no response and was just very rude, accusatory, and argumentative. Oakridge is a small place and our van is quite recognizable. We were not making any attempt to hide or steal from these people, but all our explanations fell on deaf ears and left everyone involved very angry. We did end up going back by and giving the woman the full $35 nightly charge just out of principle. Kind of an expensive parking place since we used ZERO of their other facilities! This was not our first time to Oakridge, and it won't be our last, but we will never make the mistake of going to the Oakridge RV Park again! read more
