Before I even talk about the photography itself, I was just amazed at the professionalism that Heather and Matthew displayed while working with us. They suggested amazing shots, were very upbeat and helpful and it almost feels as if Heather is just as excited as you are when it comes to your wedding almost like a Bridesmaid/Photographer hybrid, which is why I felt compelled to write a review here, because what we experienced and saw on other reviews vs. what Phallin experienced are complete opposites. As far as photography goes, before hand we really had no knowledge on what we wanted to do in regards of where we wanted to take engagement pictures, or what type of shots we were looking for but I feel this is really something that Heather does really well. She suggested places that we could go that could produce some really great shots for our engagement pictures and she will literally go the extra mile for a great photo ( I have saw her run up 2 flights of stairs with a full set photo equipment multiple times in ~90 degree weather just so she could get the perfect shot which is impressive in itself). On our wedding day, Heather and Matthew came to the venue early and cleaned up a spot outside that made for some really great shots which is again, something that was not expected but just a testament of how they will go the extra mile to make sure that your day is captured perfectly in pictures. Also during the wedding they were very receptive with our guests and even took pictures with the guests phones when requested along side with taking professional pictures, which is something that I heard is usually not done by professional photographers. All in all I rarely write reviews; if something is great its great, if its not its not, but you can not go wrong with Heather and Matthew in Uptown Downtown Photography, the Price-to-Service ratio is amazing and more people need to know how much of a asset they will be to your wedding and capturing your special day. I really tried to find some constructive criticism but honestly could not as this is probably the best service that I have had to pay for for this wedding. We hired Rachel to do the job and could not be more pleased with the results! Our photoshoot with Rachel at Disney's Boardwalk captured the essence of both our past and our present perfectly. You just found your perfect photographer/videographer!…read more Ashley and Manny are not only incredible at their profession, they are also an amazing husband and wife team that go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable; and most importantly look NATURAL in your photos and not posed! I was drawn to their photos because they are warm, inviting, and organic. I knew it would be like pulling teeth to have my fiance Matt feel comfortable, heck I am not comfortable with pictures myself. But, right off of the bat with the initial zoom call consults we felt extremely relaxed with the process. During the shoot we completely hit it off with both Ashley and Manny and the magic started to happen! They even brought us beer to loosen up haha. I had no idea how the photos were turning out mid shoot, but when Ashley showed us a few that she captured (RAW/UNEDITED) they were breathtaking already! They said to expect edits in 2-3 weeks when we left the session.... SHE EDITED AND TURNED AROUND 200+ PICTURES IN 1.5 DAYS! I loved over 80% of the shots. If thats not incredible alone... IDK what is! 100/10 recommend this amazing couple for whatever your photography needs are! You will not be disappointed.
