We recently had a very old tree in our front yard finally partially collapsing. It had a special spot in the yard and we had enjoyed it for many years. However all good things come to an end and the tree was telling us so. It was a willow and time to go. We contacted these folks and arranged for a cutting down of the tree so it would not pose a danger to others or to us. The quote was quite reasonable and we decided to go forward. We were in no rush and it was suggested we do so after the Christmas holidays. Monday was the scheduled date. Sure enough they showed up on Monday morning and it took about an hour to cut down the tree. They did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. They were careful to remove a bench which was under the tree but not damaged and then replace it in the same area when they were done. We are very pleased with the work they did and they seemed quite knowledgeable. The work was top notch. They seem busy all the time so if you are flexible and can work with them I'm sure any job will be done with great success. read more

Our Neighbor, Not us, hired Arbor Tech LLC... yet We sustained damaged to our property! Read On.... Our neighbor, who we have/ still love after 15 year now, hired a tree trimming company. They text'd us the night before to give us a heads up: 7am to 7pm, might need access to our yard, etc. Pretty standard stuff. The day of, one of the people from Arbor Tech LLC knocked on our door and ask if they could enter our back yard for "1-2 hours". We said yes, brought our dogs inside, and then: - Arbor Tech was ACTUALLY in/out of our back yard for 6-1/2 - 7 hours - Arbor Tech dropped heavy limbs on our shed roof and ripped the side of the shed open (the paying neighbor actually witnessed them doing this, ASKED if they had talked to me about the damage, they lied and said "Yes" when in fact they did not.) - Our neighbors (the paying customer) yard was picked up and swept and clean... our yard was not. We had saw dust, small branches and twigs and leaves all over that side of our backyard We tried to contact Arbor Tech to see what they were going to do to fix this. Some old lady who claimed to be the owner yelled at us "Our guys don't do that" and hung up on me. My neighbor tried to call and follow up on the incident: Same old lady yelled at him and hung up. My neighbor tried to reach out to Don the owner, who said he would stop by or call or text to follow up. We never got a call or text or visit. Just nothing. Checking the Better Business Bureau website... Arbor Tech LLC of Wheat Ridge, CO is not an accredited business. Checking the Colorado.gov website under business licenses, Arbor Tech LLC does not come up on a search. One can see, from other yelp reviews, this is an on-going theme with Arbor Tech: Do Damage, walk away/ take no responsibility. read more

Don and his crew did a fantastic job removing a huge limb that broke off during the last heavy wet snow we had. They did a great job cleaning up all the little twigs and all of the leaves that had fallen before the limb broke. That same day my neighbor had them trim 4 large trees in their yard. I'll be getting them back this spring to trim my trees. Don gave me a very fair price considering the amount of work he and his crew did. read more

I prefer to give companies good reviews and stay silent on sub-par service, but I want to share my experience with ArborTech. The core problem is the owner, Don, taking responsibility for his work. He and his office manager / wife blamed day laborers' lack of knowledge for the issues I experienced. In the last half of 2023, the ArborTech crew was doing work per the written scope (tree trimming and stump removal), but when Don left the job to pick up forgotten material, his crew cut off many lower limbs of a ~40' fir tree rather than trimming the outer 12" which were hitting a shed, leaving a lopsided uneven tree which no longer provided privacy between neighbors. The outcome was so bad, I had them remove the tree. I paid them the original bid amount. Because I was still trying to work things out in an equitable way with Don, we agreed that he would buy me two trees and some shrubs to fill in the now-empty space and I'd pay him to install them. We made an appointment at a nursery to pick out the trees. Don was 45 minutes late; his wife claimed he was stuck in traffic. He said nothing about being late once he arrived. During conversations at the house and the nursery, he shared the following: He could get in big trouble for ruining my tree His day-laborer worker didn't speak English and so didn't follow instructions One of his employees was using drugs in front of a customer (I was on the phone with him when this happened and heard him yell at the person) After shopping, I decided against engaging ArborTech for the installation. I thought it would be too risky. In response to my decision, Don said, "Now you're trying to F--- me over." His office manager / wife supported him in subsequent phone conversations in which she personally attacked me. After several conversations, Don agreed to deliver the trees and shrubs, with the understanding that they were not responsible for the trees' health, which was fair. Fast forward to March 2024 when I engaged another company to prune one tree and take care of limbs damaged by the snowstorms. The new company recommended treatments to the pine and fir trees to prevent insect damage. I informed them that ArborTech had done that, but there were no notes on the quote regarding the precise treatment. The new company called Don and he informed them that he had no notes regarding the treatment, so we do not know when the next treatment will be needed. Bottom line: the work that went well was fine. The way the problems were handled and lack of documentation overshadow the good work though. read more

Really happy with the work done by Don and his crew. Called on Saturday for an estimate, and Don came out the same day. He was able to complete the pruning of our ash and apple trees within the week. He did such a great job that we asked him to prune and remove trees at our rental property as well. What I like best is that Don looks at the whole tree and plans out his pruning strategy. Don the owner of Arbot Tech put in a tree for me last year, and required I get a 1 year warranty on it, effectively doubling the price of the tree. This was to replace it if it died. This was done in May of 2021, and I have been trying to get in touch with Don and Arbor Tech now for 3 months as the tree is dead as of April 15 of 2022. Beware of this place, I also know they are not on good standing moneywise with the wholesale tree places. They aren't honoring their agreement leaving me with a dead tree in my front yard. read more

I am now leaving a second review of Arbor Tech based on services they provided in July of this year. Arbor Tech never completed my stump grinding or repaired my fence that was damaged during removal. It has now been 2 1/2 months. I paid for the stump grinding up front when he cut down my trees at Dons request and he assured me he would grind it out 10 days later. He never showed up or contacted me again. I have called him and his wife at the main office number repeatedly. I have been told Don is sick, the stump grinder broke, Don was injured, we will put you on the schedule next week (then no one shows up), one excuse after another. Now they are dodging my calls. This is extremely frustrating and alarming as I sent them two jobs prior to all this for friends needing tree services. I have never experienced such disrespect from a company like this. read more

Our home is in the front range mountains near Conifer. We've been heating with the same wood stove more than 30 years. We buy pine and mixed hardwood. Some suppliers have gone out of business, others raised prices. Arbor Tech quoted a fair price so I ordered a cord of mixed hardwood from Donald. They delivered a full cord of seasoned mixed hardwood and stacked it for me (I'm 89.) Donald is second generation in this business. They are my supplier from now on. A friend recommended Don and Arbor Tech for a tree removal and stump grind and I'm glad I reached out. Between the estimate and the work, Don and his crew were on time and very efficient. They even removed a small tree and it's stump and chipped a pile of wood I had laying around for no cost - while another company was going to charge me $100. read more

Trees needing some TLC? Look no further, Don and his crew are seriously the best. He was able to come for a quote the same day and started work within the week. Really reasonably priced but even more importantly he was on time and followed through, which seems to be difficult for a lot of service industries in the area. My neighbor had a tree removed and a tree stump ground down. Fine but the crew from Arbor Tech took a tarp from MY backyard to use for their job. They left bits of ground tree in the tarp and "hung" the tarp on the fence. When confronted, the foreman denied using the tarp stating the wind left the tarp on the fence. A member of the crew was wearing an Arbor Tech shirt so you were identifiable. The crew from Arbor Tech also left a huge mess on my driveway. Nice job guys. I'm so sorry you couldn't be more professional to clean up your mess. Buyer or customer beware. read more
