I have been going to Dr. Barry for years. I have tried other chiropractors, but have not found them to be as good as Dr. Barry.

I've gone to chiropractors on and off for over fifteen years. I've always been a big believer in them and found an excellent one in my old home state that I saw for at least 10 years. After relocating to the Denver area, my back pain became more severe and chronic, so I started looking for a new chiropractor. I tried one, who was OK, but seemed to be one of those guys who puts you on a strict schedule and has a routine he does with everyone. Another drawback for me was that his office did not take any insurance. I'm lucky enough to have a decent health plan that covers chiropractic, so I wanted to take advantage of that. I found Dr. Barry in the book and made an appointment. The first time I went there, I had a consultation that was very thorough. I underwent a physical exam and had my blood pressure taken. That was a first for any chiropractic visit for me. Dr. Barry and I talked about my back history and my current issues. I then had some stretching done and was manipulated, in addition to receiving some electrical stimulation therapy. Dr. Barry told me up front that I should come back a couple times a week for one or two weeks to get me feeling better, then come as needed. I was very happy with my overall experience and have now been seeing him for over a year. My condition has been pretty persistent, so we decided that some imaging might be in order. That's another huge plus in my opinion. Dr. Barry is a doctor of radiology and a chiropractor. So you're getting the best of both worlds. He and his staff are very personable and seem to really have your best interests in mind when putting together your treatment plan. Dr. Barry also provided me with a list of stretching exercises that I do at home which seem to have helped lessen some of my symptoms. If you notice, the only non 5 star review for this business is from an obviously disgruntled former employee. I can't speak to her experiences, but the people that have been patients of Dr. Barry all seem to be really happy with their treatment and so am I. I would highly recommend this office to my family, friends and fellow Yelp reviewers. read more

My husband typically throws his back out once a year. He usually makes an urgent appointment with a particular chiropractor close to our home. He goes back every day for the first few days and then maybe 2 more weekly appointments. His back usually takes about 3 to 4 weeks to fully recover. This time an appointment wasn't available until the evening and he was in a lot of pain. I remembered that a few coworkers of mine had recommended Dr. Barry. I spoke with the receptionist and my insurance and they were able to fit us in that same hour. My husband was very hesitant about seeing someone knew and I could tell he was not happy with me. When we arrived the receptionist greeted us. She asked him to complete the usual paperwork along with questions about his pain and symptoms. My husband hates these documents as most doctors never review them. A few minutes later she brought both of us to the treatment room. I was surprised that they would let a spouse accompany a patient. After getting his vital signs, the receptionist offered him a pair of shorts to change in to. He looked at both of us like she was crazy. She explained that they keep spare clean shorts because bulky clothing like jeans can make the chiropractic adjustment more difficult. I encouraged him to wear them even if I was going to need to help him change. Dr. Barry arrived to the treatment room a few minutes later. He went over all of the documents my husband filled out and asked questions to gain insight. We were both in shock, not only that a chiropractor read the paperwork, but then asked questions to clarify. He helped my husband to the table and then adjusted him. I could hear all of the cracking and popping and saw my husband's facial expressions. Immediately I thought for sure that we would not be coming back. Dr. Barry then proceeded to show him stretches and exercises that he needed to do every day. He explained why this was so important. Not a single chiropractor had ever done that before. Dr. Barry explained that he would be writing him a doctor's note for the next 4 days and he wanted him to come in each day for further treatment. After the adjustment the receptionist brought him to another treatment room where he received ice therapy and electrical muscle stimulation therapy. When he was done, I saw that he was standing taller and walking faster than when we first arrived. On the way home, my husband told me that no one has ever been able to pop his back like that before. He wasn't 100% but he felt a lot better. The next day, in addition to the adjustment, ice and electrical muscle stimulation therapy, Dr. Barry gave him a few additional exercises. By that night, he was back to normal. He was completely blown away by the effectiveness of the treatment Dr. Barry provided. He returned I believe a week later for a follow up and thus far has not needed another adjustment. We're both grateful for the wonderful care provided at Arbor View Chiropractic. Even though Dr. Barry's office is some 45 minutes away, the therapy is worth the drive. read more

I absolutely love this place. Dr. Barry is a magician. I was talked into going to a chiropractor after 3 months of agony from two dislocated vertebrae. I assumed chiropractors were just witch doctors and all they were gonna do was shake some chicken bones at me. That wasn't the case though, Dr. Barry realigned me, taught me some stretches and sent me on my way. He has only asked me to return on a couple of occasions (because I was pretty severely crooked, most of the time it's just a single session. None of that ," you need to stop by 2 to 3 times a week for the rest of your life " thing that most chiro's do. He only wants you to come in if you are in actual need. But best of all.... no chicken bones. read more

This isn't the type of place where they tell you to come in several times a month regardless if it's necessary. Dr Barry is very straightforward about goals of care and uses a variety of treatment modalities. The office staff is also very friendly and helpful. It's hard to find a chiropractor these days. After my car accident, I was just getting regular appointments for adjustments but no relief. I switched to this facility and found the relief I was looking for. I appreciate how personal the doctor is. He listens to your needs and works with you on a plan. I felt like my pain was pinpointed and relieved. I continue to go as my body needs adjustments, but never feel pressured to do more than necessary.
