My local Bunnings…read more Despite renting, there's always some little thing that needs done. Kids marked up the wall, want to get a few hooks to hang a picture... always something. For being one of the smaller Bunnings, they do have pretty much everything. I also find their customer service seems to be a little better too. The staff are quite knowledgable, and there seems to always be someone around. If you're in the area and need some hardware... :)

A girl called Edie…read morehelped me and it seemed difficult to find this in the state. she then found one of the item only at Fairfield, called them to confirm it was there and has had it shipped to port melb for me to pick up next week. This shop used to be a lot bigger a year ago. I went there today and what used to be a sprawling…read moreexpanse of pots in a warehouse had shrunk down into a mere garage and only half of it was being utilised. The only person around was a man unloading a van full of more pots. When I commented that I hadn't been in awhile and that the store was so much smaller now, the man responded that the reason for that was people like me who hadn't been for awhile. That certainly shut me up! Not in a bad way - the man wasn't being rude and I actually found it quite refreshing to have a down to earth sales assistant. Despite not leaving with any pots I certainly left with a smile. The store itself is literally pots on pallets and what you see is what you get. The prices are low and there is a decent amount of variety to be had. The store definitely needs some help to survive and it would be sad to lose such a good store with such low prices. So flock down there and give the witty sales assistant a shock!

Last month they sent me to the Broadmedows Bunnings because the Coburg Bunnings had run out of stock of pickets. When I got to the Broadmedows store they had also run out of stock and when I told them what had happened (so that they could call Coburg and tell them so stop sending people over) they shrugged their shoulders. I always shop at the local hardware store whenever I can these days.

The DIY sessions are awesome and I'm yet to come across a Bunnings staff member that isn't smiling.. All so lovely and varying in ages!! I like what you have done here Bunnings.. Must be a cool employee too as I saw staff walking around sucking zooper doopers on a 45 degree day!! Looks like the staff are as looked after as the customers.. The best place for a handy tool or for bits and bobs in the household..

Went in to the store to buy a Workbench approached the "service" ( hah)! counter to get someone to…read morehelp me due to walking with the aid of a walking stick due to back problems and the lady behind the counter wasn't at all happy to see me she could not be bothered at all! Sone faced and would not crack a smile if her live depend it on it .she rolled her eyes because i was a bit indecisive about which one to buy. I was going to spend $900.00 at that store but i ended up telling her what i thought of her and told her i will never go back to that store again! I can buy the same workbench online for less and i won't have deal with that ugly stone faced ..... ! and they will drive it to my garage door!!
