AMAZING pies. We came after church to get some lunch and we had pizza, egg/bacon, vanilla and chocolate flavors. All were so good. Highly recommend. They also have some great Amish cheeses that you can sample. great service. Will definitely come back.

Please listen up, because I am going to give you some **very** important life advice: ~If you are driving on the interstate and EVER see a sign boasting "fried pies"-- it's a SIGN- go! Take the exit and find the fried pies, and you will be forever changed!!! A year or so ago I was driving somewhere through Georgia when I saw a sign for fried pies. I had never heard of a fried pie before, and my curiosity was peaked. I stopped, tried one, and was immediately won over. Wow, are those suckers good. Ever since, l have been searching for fried pie signs and longing to have another. It appeared destiny was with me as I drove to Texas recently, because I was given a sign. Literally, the fried pie sign! I yelled with delight and listened to my own most important advice, and found Arbuckle Mountain. This places takes the cake, or the pies I guess. This was, just plainly an awesome place. I was literally filled with glee walking up- so old school and clearly they were the pros of fried pie making. When we talked to the sweet, sweet ladies working inside, they told us their fried pie recipe is 40 years old! Yeah, I'd definitely say they're the professionals, the elitists of the fried pie game!! We ended up getting 7 pies- it was a buy 6, get one free special which we were also bringing to share with family (as much as I would have loved to save them all for myself). And hilariously enough, my family in Dallas said they stop at Arbuckle anytime they come near OK! They agreed it's the best and all I can say is the honest truth: you need to follow the fried pie sign and see what I mean (especially if it's for Arbuckle Mountain)!

Horses keep you company while you eat your pie outdoors. (They have tables inside too!)

Stop at this picturesque place next to a red barn. Order the Lemon pie with the friendly ladies. Enjoy it next to the horses. Take a picture next to the corn fields. Get back on the road. Regret not getting another one for the road.

Sweet ladies working the storefront and the pies were amazing. The crust is soft and sweet and the amount of filling is just right. I won't pass this place again without stopping.

We were on our way back to Oklahoma from Kansas City and needed a place to eat for lunch. We were looking for something cheap and fast when this popped up on our radar. OMG. 10/10 place. Service was kind. Bathrooms were clean. But the pies...the pies were worth it all. We had the Tex-Mex, Polish, and Strawberry Rhubarb pies. The Tex-Mex was spicy and the Polish had a nice sausage in it. Loved the fillings but the dough is the real masterpiece. It's that perfect flaky goodness you never knew you needed. Highly recommend stopping for some pies.

Oh my! Had a broccoli and chicken pie for lunch, vanilla pie for dessert. Possibly, one of the best lunches known to humankind.

WOW WOW WOW! I'm a…read morephotographer and I shoot a lot of weddings. At the end of the evening when we are on our way out we always grab a piece of cake for the ride home. We do this for two reasons 1) If the cake is good I add the baker to my references and pass on their names to future clients and 2) It's wedding cake, who in their right mind passes up wedding cake??? I eat a lot of wedding cake, k? Just for the record, I'm not a cake expert, this is based on my opinion and the very limited knowledge I do have. The second I saw this cake I was in love. It was the most gorgeous cake I've seen yet in my line of work. 6 round tiers, starting with sky blue icing and lightening to white as it went up, with gerbera daisies strategically placed around the layers that added a splash of color. The white filigree piping was immaculate in my opinion and fit the theme of the wedding decor nicely. The cake was balancing beautifully without any leaning or slumping which can happen easily with that many tiers. It looked strong. The smell coming off the cake was incredible. I think it might be what heaven smells like. We had the pleasure of speaking with the father of the bride about the cake. What first blew me away was that his wife, the mother of the bride, made the cake. And if I'm not mistake, A Piece of Cake, Winfield, KS, is indeed her business. Then he told us that each layer was a different flavor. I can't remember them all but I believe there was chocolate, strawberry, banana & caramel & one with a raspberry filling. Then later it was time to cut the cake, and once the cake service gals started taking the layers off and began cutting up the servings, the smell was even more heavenly!!! And the cake came down ever so gracefully. Usually the cake just falls apart when they start taking it down and cutting it up, but this one stayed strong in the individual layers and the servings were just as beautiful as the cake was as a whole. Now for taste. We had the chocolate. Best. Tasting. Wedding Cake. EVER. And I regret we didn't have the opportunity to sample each flavor. We did speak to someone who helps make the cake and she gave us some insight to their process. It's not my place to give away their trade secrets, however I will tell you that they mean business when it comes to the taste. It was moist and actually more dense than cake usually is, which I actually prefer. It wasn't just boring old chocolate either, it had a smooth creamy-ness to it and I know I got a chocolate chip or two in some bites. It was like a multiple personality chocolate cake. Just off the charts!!! I'm not a huge fan of frosting but this frosting was mild yet tasty, not overly frosting-y in the way that makes you kinda gag when you've had to much, you know what I mean? Each bite was good and I didn't get frosting overload. The cake was the focus and the frosting was just a compliment to the cake, which is how it should be. I think they are a smaller business and I wasn't able to find a website for them but if you are in the southeast part of KS or the northern part of OK and want an amazing wedding cake try to get a hold of A Piece Of Cake in Winfield! I personally would use them if I had the need and they are close to 4 hours away from me. It would be worth the trip. I had the pleasure of working for this family as I was their wedding photographer and they are some of the most wonderful & personable people I've had the pleasure of meeting in my line of work.

Once for a cake tasting and initial looking through of pictures. The second time, she sat and listened to me as I told her what I liked (or didn't like!) about certain cakes, and then made my cake more beautiful than I could have hoped for. And of course, it tasted amazing! Her prices were fair and reasonable. We had such a good experience that I am suggesting her to my sister, who is getting married in the next year. I'm secretly hoping that she will pick A Piece of Cake.
