Also, there was a slight slowdown when I was checking out and they were quick to get a second person to help the customer in front of me so I could be waited on. Aside from books, they also sell jewelry and purses and various other trinkets. The owner told me that they try to buy from less fortunate countries so they can help them build businesses, which I thought was pretty awesome. I can't remember the term he used for this.. but he also said that he sells some local things on consignment also. I will definitely be going back to this place :)

We would always make a trip around Christmas time to buy gifts for family members. They have great gifts that aren't candle related also. I have for some time now called NYC home, but I love to give these amazing candles as gifts to my friends here. I placed a fairly large order during the holidays, but procrastinated and needed them by a certain date (totally my fault for waiting until the last minute), but these lovely ladies at Keepsake realized I might not get my order as soon as I'd hoped, so they immediately emailed me and then spent at least 30 minutes with me over the phone helping me to pick and choose items they had in stock so I could have them shipped in time. They didn't have to do any of this for me and I really appreciate that they cared enough to not only work with me in order to meet my deadline, but also to deliver a consistently superior product. Best product, best people, and best service hands down. As a side note; bring the kiddos too! They have two adorable and friendly cats to keep them occupied while you shop. My fiancé and I visited a couple years ago with my parents and the owners were even so kind as to give us a tour of the candle making process and even dip our own candles.
