My flight was getting in at 11:00 pm so was worried how I would check in but when I made my reservations, the nice lady told me no problem that the key would be left under the mat! Well drove about 1 hour from Eau Claire airport and got to the motel after 12 midnight. Sure enough, there was my key. Walked in and my room was nice and a toasty 65 degrees (was 35 outside!). Very quaint and cozy and just felt really nice. I had no problem going to sleep. Next morning, I go for the continental breakfast and there is a nice spread of easy fixings. Check in and everything is a breeze. Friendly staff and nice clean facilities all around. If you are planning on visiting the Highground, this is the perfect place to stay. There are lots of hiking trails as part of the Memorial Park and lots of wildlife and nature to see. A great place to unwind. And the price was perfect!

Upon checkout I asked for a partial refund due to the closures of those previous things I listed but they declined a partial refund. They're currently (and were at the time of our stay) advertising rooms for $100ish a night. Overall the stay felt awkward... There were absolutely no other guests we ran into besides at the indoor water park. It felt like a ghost town and made us want to hide out in our room. Hopefully they can get things fixed, this could be an amazing place just things to fix.

It is more like coming to a second home than a hotel. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfy. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. We are a very large group. Some of us have disabilities that require special assistance, adaptive rooms, service animals, and caretakers. Some of us travel with aides or professional assistants/managers. This hotel handles it all with professionalism and calm. We use banquet spaces, meeting rooms, suites, hospitality spaces, and the restaurant. We take up most of the parking and if the pool or sauna are available, we are in my heaven! A few of us even use the workout room or hang out at the bar! This hotel keeps us coming back because they treat us well; they feed us well; they serve us amazing hospitality; and the fees are a great value! If you're in Marshfield, don't overlook this inconspicuous gem of a hotel! It's a part of the Best Western Group. These people put the "best" in hotel service industry! There's a brewery with great food on the trail and picnic spots on a lake at the park. The zoo across from the Inn is full of bike, walking, and hiking trails.
