We completely enjoyed our stay at Glen Loch Inn Aug 19 & 20, 2022. The Old Abe Trail was perfect to bike. There's a brewery with great food on the trail and picnic spots on a lake at the park. The zoo across from the Inn is full of bike, walking, and hiking trails. Marilyn makes home-made breakfasts that are far beyond what you'd get anywhere else for $15 a plate easy. The beds and bedding are very comfortable and the rooms are clean. We had a great experience and we'll be back! read more

Based on other reviews, we decided to stay at Glen Loch Inn. We called ahead for a reservation, but likely didn't need it for a Sunday night. The Inn was easy to find and super cheerful in decor. It is a friendly place and you immediately feel like a welcome guest. Our room was easily the cleanest that we've stayed in. The rooms have coffee makers (the provided breakfast coffee is outstanding!), microwave ovens and mini-fridges. The breakfast was unimaginably good and was made with the same attention to quality and details as everything else at the Inn. I can't wait to return! NOTE: For those complainers about the size of the bathrooms, you've clearly never appreciated older fixtures in older buildings. The tile work alone is an example of pride in workmanship. Besides, with a setting as beautiful as Chippewa Falls, why are you even worried about the size of the bathroom? Get outside and play! read more

We stayed at the Glen Loch Inn mid August of 2018 while we were out visiting family. Since we would be arriving very late, the owner made sure we would be able to get into our room that night. We were more than pleased with the great breakfast we received every morning. What a treat! We had asked her for suggestions on where to take our children and grand children for some fun. She suggested the Monster Truck Show that was in town. Was a fantastic idea and we had a ball! The room was nice, clean and had a small refrigerator and coffee pot inside. We plan on staying here when we come back to Chippewa Falls. read more

I was in Chippewa Falls for the Leinenkugel brewery last summer. We didn't plan on staying the night, but we stayed later than we expected, so we looked on Yelp for the nearest, decently-reviewed hotel. The Glen Loch Inn came up, and it didn't look like a whole lot from the outside - one of those cookie cutter roadside motels. Marilyn took our info and gave us a room key, and the room was perfectly serviceable, with no major complaints, although the bathroom was pretty small. The reason this place gets 5 stars is for the breakfast. It's one of the best breakfasts I've ever had, and I wasn't expecting anything at all. What a find! A comfy, quiet, homey place. We were exploring Wisconsin and happened upon The Glen Loch. It is a blast from the past, but updated and very comfortable. A mini fridge and coffee pot in every room is a big plus. The wifi is great, and the furniture is comfy. Our room had a little table and chairs and an easy chair, too! There are nice areas outside, including a picnic table tucked in among the trees behind the motel. There are also 2 luggage racks- a nice touch that lets you know your comfort is important. And the breakfast!!! Absolutely the best I have ever had in a motel, and it is included with your room. read more

Typically, I have a policy against staying at motels or inns. However, I would gladly make another exception to stay here again. First, you should know that this inn is more "bed-and-breakfast" than it is anything else. While it is not a luxurious hotel, it is a wonderful place to stay because of the pride that the owner takes in this business. Next, the rooms and bathroom are small, but you can tell that they've undergone some renovation. The paint was new, the floors were new and everything was clean and spotless. The rooms all have wi-fi and the bed is SUPER comfortable. However, my favorite part, is the continental breakfast that is served every morning. The owner makes blueberry pancakes, quiche, sausage and bacon. All of the food was so good. I felt like I was eating in mom's kitchen again. Delicious coffee and juice are also there for you enjoyment. Finally, the grounds are kept immaculately clean. As I stated before, this place really stands out because you can tell that someone puts a lot of time and effort into making this a reputable establishment for the customers. We were there off-season and were absolutely the only people in the hotel. Marilyn and Sunny were very friendly and had lots of great suggestions about where to go/what to eat in the local area. Marilyn's continental breakfast was SPECTACULAR!! It was easily a $30 dollar meal (for two people) that we received for free in the already low off-season rate. Fruit, bacon, quiche, french toast... all homemade and delicious! The rooms themselves featured a huge bed and some really "vintage" green plaid carpet that I loved; Marilyn wants to keep the hotel looking like the 1940s. The bathroom is a little tiny, it was a little bit difficult to maneuver around the toilet. But for the price, the service was spectacular!! I would recommend that hotel to anyone staying in Chippewa Falls or going to visit the Leinenkugel Brewery. read more

What a great stop on our cross country trip. Exceptionally clean, a nice walk to town (about a mile) and a very reasonable price, especially considering the fantastic home-cooked breakfast in a nicely decorated cafe. The owners were very nice and accommodating...they told us twice that we could/should park our motorcycle on the walk, under the awning instead of in the parking lot in case of wind or rain. I'd definitely stay here again if/when we come back to the area. read more

We loved staying here before moved here a few months ago... One time we were the only people staying there and she still made us the breakfast and also gave us a ride to the lodge so we didn't have to call a cab! Love this little gem! read more

Paid a dirt-cheap roadside motel price, but got a B&B-tier homecooked breakfast with a great ambiance. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and very pleasant with full amenities. Water pressure in the shower left a little to be desired, but overall a great place with outstanding value read more

Tiny - my knees hit wall. Had to climb over toilet to enter shower. Then minimal water in shower. Ended up sponge bath. Woken up at 11 p.m. to back my little Prius 3 inches off tiny grass patch. Next day, sister yelled at because my son parked my car in wrong spot. We had 8 rooms; 3 cars for family reunion. Was willing to overlook all other deficits until this happened. Our whole party was crushed when this happened. Had fond memories of this place but no more. Horrible experience read more

Nice place, clean, very comfortable beds. Tiny bathrooms though. I'm only 5'2" and my knees almost touch the wall sitting on the toilet. We came for the leinenkugel brewery tour which is right down the road, very convenient. Delicious breakfast, much nicer than any chain restaurant. It's served in a little restaurant room decorated with a cool collection of musical instruments, vintage and others. If the choice is $90 for a chain vs $90 at this place, I'd pick this place. read more
