I got the Brookie Monster with mint chocolate chip. My son got the Dirt Cup Sundae and my wife got a cup of the mint chocolate chip. We all liked our desserts very much. For me, I was surprised I like the brownie more than the chocolate chip cookie. Also, with the Brookie Monster having both a brownie and a cookie (big cookie), the ice cream ratio was off. Their original location is in Gastonia. We have had many items from them and they are all fantastic. So many cupcake varieties - too many list. For Thanksgiving, we had them supply our desserts. 1. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cake - this was just so amazing. A very tall cake so a smaller version was plenty. But they also have a more traditional size. 2. We sat at the bar and had a slice of cake, a chocolate shake, and a cocktail. It was such a great experience. Everything tasted amazing, and the cocktail was adorable. It even had Curious George's face on it, which made it feel extra fun and thoughtful. The second visit was for my son's birthday. The desserts were still absolutely delicious. The churro cake was insane in the best way. They truly know how to do desserts. My only downside the second time was the table. They have a thick, waxy film on them that feels dirty and sticky underneath. It honestly feels like they need to be scraped down and re finished because touching them is uncomfortable. It takes away a bit from what is otherwise such a great experience. The staff has always been friendly, and the cakes and desserts are consistently amazing. Because of the table issue, I'm giving 3 stars, but I'd happily give five if that detail was improved.
