Exactly what my husband and I expected for a small town, local diner. Consistent, tasty, and filling. The food was average, but we didn't expect Michelin ratings. We had the fried green tomatoes, Chicken Athenian, and Marinated Pork chops. The hush puppies and coleslaw were good. Would visit again if in Chester! I stopped here with my cousin and one of our good friends, since we were in the area. There were not a lot of restaurants open on Sunday, but this place seemed like it would be good to try. It's one of those home cooking places that I've grown up with and always reminds me of going to grandmas house to eat. They had a lot of food choices and the prices were cheap compared to most places. The entree and side selection were great. I ordered the ribeye steak sandwich with onion rings. The steak sandwich came on a regular style bun and the onion rings were perfectly fried. The steak was thin style and it was cooked to an almost perfect medium. The onion rings were very good. Being that there was so much good food to choose from, I wasn't really sure what to get. My cousin and friend both ordered fried chicken. They both said majority of their food was cold. But, we were all too hungry to wait for anymore food. The service was good and friendly, but being that most of the food came out cold or not really warm, that's the only reason I took off a star. read more

The quantity of food is not an issue. But, the quality is an issue. I had chicken teriyaki with side salad. My kids had chicken fettuccini Alfredo and chicken cyclone wraps. My husband got bacon cheeseburger with fries. None of the food was seasoned properly. Most of it had no taste. The best thing I had was thousand island dressing for my salad. The food here has always been good for as long as I can remember BUT the burgers don't taste like they use to so they lose a star. At one time they were up there with Bantom Chef for the best burgers in town. Like Bantom Chef the burgers just ain't the same. I had a double cheese burgers with 2 side of fries and ribs. The burger was good but it didn't have the taste I was looking for. The ribs were served by the bone as opposed to a half rack or full which seems to be common in this are which is absurd. I give the staff an A + for friendliness overall I don't think you'll be disappointed with the experience. Side note they need to renovate the outside to make it more appealing to a passersby. read more

What a nice surprise. From the outside the place looks a bit run down, but......once you get in there and start eating you will be happy you stopped. I had a Greek chicken dish which was cooked perfect. I ordered the mini dinner and it was plenty of food. My husband ordered a full dinner and could not finish his plate. There isn't a thing on this menu I wouldn't recommend and the service is fantastic. Absolutely try the house sour cream. It's the best in the world. Just be prepared, it's open seating and at lunch and dinner rush hours you may find yourself sitting with strangers. read more

Yelp says they serve breakfast and open at 7:30, the sign out front says breakfast, I drive there and another sign says "Open at 11". It may be fantastic food, but they don't have breakfast during the week, not sure about weekends. read more

I am a nearby neighbor of the owner so I am just not going back or confronting them anymore. I went one time several months ago and they put a couple staples in my meal. I think they stapled the bags together at that time. Today, my wife exhausted from her job, I placed another order. Everything was good till my wife pulled a long hair from her cyclone tater. I hate we do not have the variety of food selections here in Chester,SC but I will not try to go back here.
