Slow service and not very clean. Out of sauce cups. Potato cakes over cooked. We will definitely bypass this Arby's in the future.

Quiznos is as quintessentially American as apple pie and baseball. Hell! Quiznos is America's sub…read moresource; it's a brand name that instills confidence and security. I really wanted to fill my body to the brim with an absolutely hedonistic amount of deli meats and cheeses. Unfortunately the San Simon Quiznos was permanently shut down and replaced with a Subway that is also shut down. I was afraid of getting the Noble Romans Pizza, mainly due to the fact that they advertise that they can make you a pizza in less than five minutes. One of my traveling companions purchased one of Roman's bacon cheeseburgers; he said the taste alone was making him sick. However, after covering the burger in Munchies party snacks, he ate the rest of it, so who's to say what score he would actually award Noble Romans if given the chance. I got food from the gas station that both the aforementioned sandwich establishments were once connected to. I bought one Kind Bar so it wouldn't look suspicious that I was stealing a second Kind Bar for later (I'm kind of a bad boy). I also bought a pack of peanut butter filled M&M's and a lime flavored Perrier because I like my shit on bubbles. The staff was just the right amount of aloof for my taste and the decor is as minimal as it is nonexistent. Bottom line: this place is keen. Mark your map! If you find yourself in the absolutely stunning city...? Town? I dunno... strip of highway known as San Simon, you don't want to miss this hidden treasure.

It's a truck stop Subway, so admittedly my expectations were pretty low going into it. When I got…read morethere a party of seven kids were ordering, and running in and out of line to check out The Godfather's pizza slices available further down the counter. I figured I was going to be there a bit, but the employees were super efficient and had them handled no problem, even keeping track of the shell game the kids were running with their purchases so everything was rung up right. Irritated the kids something fierce while the rest of looking on grinned knowingly. The sandwich was fresh, and the prep counter was clean which was nice to see. Granted it's still Subway, so not gourmet dining, but it did the trick and I would order here again.

I didn't know that my tried and true Subway restaurant chain had completely jettisoned their menu for a "new" one. I asked if it was unique but he assured me it was nationwide. Sadness?! May the Italian BMT RIP.... Why five stars? The four individuals on the other side of the glass! They were a machine and we were happily out the door soon after. The Super Meats sandwich doesn't taste Italian; it's more a combo of three of the old sandwiches. It was not satisfactory and half of it was trashed. What on earth is going to replace Subway? It was a staple. Sigh...

Instead of our intended stop for lunch in Deming we thought we'd stop here, located in the former Kranberrys location. It was very busy on a Thursday at 1 packed with lots of locals and a few of us transient travelers... good sign! Service was a bit slow but very friendly and it was clear they were maybe a bit short on floor staff so being patient was not a problem. Portions were hearty and the food was really great... particularly if you are a fan of the New Mexico style Mexican food and love Hatch green/red chiles. My husbanded LOVED his Huevos Rancheros (he is always super critical), the red salsa was gold standard and my Chilaquilas were prepared exactly how I love them. The place is clean, family owned and operated and we will definitely stop back in! Side note- some reviews complain about the tacos... it is an actual thing for ground beef tacos to be deep fried using a hamburger patty... can't recall what they are traditionally called but that will be my next order as I am a fan.

The staff didn't seem concerned that we were trying to swat at them constantly. I wanted to like this place, my plate looked appetizing but the combo plate I had contained the worst tamale I've ever tried to eat. It was very dry. The booth we were shown to sit at had badly torn vinyl. There were tons of tables available but this was where they chose to seat us, in a tore up booth with dead flies. I would not consider the salad bar with all the flies in here.
