Yesterday, after spending time at City of Rocks State Park, we went to Chaos Sandwiches for lunch. We arrived about 2:00 (about an hour before closing) and found out that a lot of the hot sandwich selections were no longer available (Sold Out). That could have been a very good sign because they were very busy. The chicken salad sandwich, the ham sandwich, the grass grazer sandwich (veggie) and the grilled cheese sandwich were all delicious. When we were about to leave after eating, the owner gave me a total refund for my portion of the meal because of the longer than normal wait. I didn't want to accept the refund because I didn't consider it an extraordinarily long wait and the food was good. He refused my offer to pay for my meal. (Covers face..) Anyways! The Sandwich was very tasty enjoyed it very much, only comment would be as a vegetarian I really appreciate sandwich shops that have meat substitutes. I think the sandwich would be elevated by maybe some vegetarian chicken or something of that nature. It was not very filling and I was hungry again about an hour or so later. They came with a side of potato chips. They were perfectly salty and just the right amount of crunch. My husband got a sandwich too but ate it too fast for me to take a picture. Lol but he like it. Sincerely delicious from the bread to the care in crafting sandwich ingredients that make them sing to you. It's delectable. I got a grilled veggie sandwich thinking "well it will be healthy". It's "The Grass grazer". It's simply the best vegetable sand which I've ever had..a lil cheese, some special mayo but stacked high and filling. The red peppers make it. Wow. I've been here a few times while traveling for work to Silver City. This is a great local place for a quick service meal with quality food. I hate going to chains for mediocre food and am always excited when something local like this exists. They work well for vegetarians like myself, with a very large sandwich full of sliced grilled vegetables, tasty sauce, and some cheese. Vegans would have to check if the bread is vegan if the cheese and probably sauce are removed or substituted. My meat-eating coworkers always enjoy their sandwiches as well. read more

Amazing food and fantastic hospitality! This establishment is clearly run with a lot of love and care. My group ordered the classic sandwich, the mule shoes, the cubano, the chicken avocado soup, and a side of Mac n cheese. We shared everything and absolutely loved it all. Particular favorites were the classic and the Mac n cheese (tip - get a side of green chili and mix it into the mac). One of the co-owners (Jacob I believe) took fantastic care of us and it's clear that his friendly and helpful demeanor are a draw to frequenting the establishment in addition to the delicious food. We are from out of town and passing through Silver City, but if we're ever back in town, we will absolutely be enjoying another meal at Chaos Sandwiches. read more

I was visiting from Phoenix and I'm thrilled that I found Chaos. The shop was clean and customer service was attentive and quick. But the sandwich...it was incredible! The Classic has 11 ingredients, and the boys layered it carefully on a fresh bread that held it together. I'll be back in a couple of months and recommend it to others in the meantime.
