They won't refill prescriptions on time or respond to multiple messages. In withdrawal... they do not care.

How is this place in business. My father has severe depression, has been followed by a provider for the last 2-3 years. Suddenly two months ago, no one will respond to his messages. No one will return phone calls. No one will refill his prescriptions?!? My poor father was left without his prescriptions while waiting for a new doctor. Honestly this place need reported. Terrible, Terrible, Terrible experience. My provider was absolutely amazing -- she genuinely cared, listened, and went above and beyond to help me figure out what I needed. Unfortunately, the rest of this office completely ruined the experience. I was being overcharged, and despite calling for over four days, I heard nothing back from the front desk or billing department. While I did change my insurance, even my insurance company was confused as to why the charges were so high. I was not out of network, and yet my premium was suddenly five times higher than it should've been. I will absolutely be following up on this, and if I find out I was being overcharged for all of my visits, I will be filing a formal complaint with CMS. That kind of practice is fraud, plain, and simple. It's also worth noting that if you don't pay immediately, they're quick to send your bill to a third-party handler -- and once they do, they claim it's "out of their hands." That is unacceptable. The fact that I had to personally correct their clerical error says a lot. While my doctor was wonderful, I will not be returning due to the office's shady billing practices and lack of accountability. Something is definitely fishy here, and I wouldn't recommend anyone go through the same headache. And before anyone comments with an apology -- don't. Life is expensive enough as it is, and getting over on your patients financially is disgusting. I will not be having it. read more

Terrible office staff, esp. Pauline--rude & disorganized ultimately ruining the quality of this organization

if I could leave a zero I would. i took an overdose of my Klonopin and , rightly so, have had to stop my 20+ year prescription of- totally understand-however I was promised that my self tapering of 5 ( I may have said 7- I had my Prozac increased from 40 mg to 80mg and am having soone trouble adjusting - ) Unfortunately I began experiencing severe withdrawal. I think I might have had some petit mal seizures but I do t really know. I only know that my husband got scared yesterdat as he said I had periods of delirium, blank stares and then what really scared him were pretty significant body twitches. Calling Brian Mausser - the pa I got from my inpatient hopital- accused me of lying , refused to help me in anyway( I first asked if my husband could sign something saying he was legally responsible for this script - but as he said absolutely not and I he, again , said I was lying- I asked for anti- seizure medication which he promptly refused to discuss. I was able to take a bit of some leftover clonazapan and my withdrawal feelings and body twitches ( oh- and objects around me had started to twitch- reslly weird) . He knew I had some remaining from my last psychiatrist - who I had received a 20+ years of pyschiatric care ( we moved) and said as I weaned myself of in those-- say 7 days - I was safe from withdrawals after using this drug for 20+ years- at my highest I was on 4 mgs a day. My psychiatrist and I managed to get me down to 2 a day. At inpatient they continued giving this to me- So - now I am sitting on my bed, getting some withdrawal, waiting for a seizure . I was informed by a mental health advocate that 7 days was by no means long enough and should absolutely be doctor monitored- they begged me to go to the er but as I had taken a small amount of clonazapan there were no withdrawal symptoms at the time. So I wait. Do not go to this group- at least not in the Beachwood office in Ohio. I'm scared right now. But have this only option of waiting ( I am trying to find a new psychiatrist- however most won't see me for months) read more

Beyond incompetent I have been calling here for I don't know, weeks? Months? Trying to get information faxed to my doctor. They claim they do and then all of a sudden they see no one did ... So what is really the situation? I think it's a scam and they don't want you to go anywhere else. I had to schedule with my doctor at this facility I no longer go to just to get my meds.. My college age daughter was referred to ARC Psychiatry by our insurance provider. She started with them in June 2021, so appointments were still remote due to continuing COVID restrictions. However, by May of 2024 she had only ever had 1 in-person appointment with her NP. We were extremely disappointed, frustrated and at times infuriated with the care provided by this practice. We honestly don't know if it was her NP's fault or the practice's edicts, policies and expectations of their practitioners to meet a quota of "seeing" patients. But that is excatly what my daughter felt like, a number. As others have stated in reviews, it's virtually impossible to reach someone on the phone, at best an answering service, even during business hours. Most concerning and infuriating were the number of times (more than five), when her RXs were sent to the wrong pharmacy, even after my daughter, every time, included the name, address & ph# of the correct pharmacy when emailing her NP.These were controlled substance RXs, so they weren't able to simply be transferred from the wrong location to the right one. Twice, this resulted in my daughter running out of her RX as, to repeat, it's impossible to reach a staff member via the phone. And, their policy is they have up to 48 hours to respond to patients. It took me going to the physical office in Westlake and speaking to the receptionist. They had the incorrect address in their system, again after us repeatedly emailing and calling to get it corrected. My daughter found a new provider last month and is so much happier. After her first appointment, in person(!), she told me she felt listened to and seen, both literally and figuratively. Several times it took me threatening to report the practice to the State Medical Board when speaking with the answering service, to get a timely response regarding the RXs being sent to wrong location. We have nothing but bad memories of this practice. read more

I would not reccommend this place to anyone due to their unethical practices as well as their over-charging for appointments. I reccommend you check your statements and see what they are charging as they tend to charge for 30 minute sessions as well as an additional fee for "psychotherapy" when in reality sessions last no more than 5-15 minutes with zero psychotherapy. Extremely disappointed by the quality of care and the ignorance in medication management not only for myself but many of my own clients. It is downright negligent. I asked Veronica Baker several times if it is safe to go "cold turkey" off an SSRI for 100mg of Fluvoxamine and she stated time and time again it "is a low enough dose it shouldn't impact you." After getting several other medical opinions via new psychiatrist, medical doctor, and nurse practitioner, all have agreed that was unsafe and unethical for her to do. The amount of pain and discomfort I went through because of that negligence is something I hope will prevent others from seeking her support as it is unsafe. read more

I was with ARC Psychiatry for some time. I was LUCKY to get 5 minutes with my so called psychiatrist because she acted like I was a bother if I wanted to talk to her LONGER than that!!! My "therapist"??!!!! ALL WE DID WAS TALK!!!!! I have PTSD, I WAS BEGGING for more treatment, I was told they do some sort of eye treatment where you look at lights back & forth something like that, then I was told possibly ketamine treatments, yes those are an option....for the future. When I FINALLY got sick of that answer and DEMANDED MORE!!! I was accused of having a bad attitude and not interested in being "involved in my treatment", and she no longer wanted to be my therapist and hung up on me!!!! ARC Psychiatry MAKES ME SICK!!!!!! I JUST NOW 2DAY GOT A LETTER TELLING ME MY SHRINK IS LEAVING THE PRACTICE....I HAVENT BEEN THERE IN MONTHS!!!!!!! GREAT JOB ON KEEPING TABS ARC!!!!! You cannot get ahold of anyone to make an appointment, or speak with them in the event of medication issues with the pharmacy. The doctors here do not listen to you, they do not care about you, they only care about money in their pocket. Avoid this place like the plague. Worst choice I ever made was receiving care here. Never ever ever again. I would never recommend anyone to come here. Veronica Baker will terminate your patient-provider relationship without reason & without warning. The one guy there doesnt even look at your medical record. Rachael k. Doesn't show up for follow up appointments. This place is an overall disaster. Oh & are you having billing issues? ARC Psychiatry is an irresponsible practice. They talk to you for 5 minutes and then give you pills. Only problem is these are mind altering pills, and when you have to refill your prescription they ghost you. You leave messages and they won't call you back. They are nothing more than prescription writers. if you want actual care for mental health you want to run the opposite direction of this place. read more

Very pleased with my care here - my therapist was helpful for getting me set up on a new medication and writing referrals for evaluation. Additionally, my provider is extremely responsive with medication refills. My only issue is that it is a crapshoot when you call, there is a younger man who answers the phones who clearly does not care about patients and will curtly (and incorrectly!) answer everything you may ask. I would recommend some sort of compassion and empathy testing incorporated into the hiring practices. That being said, the actual product (I.e. the medical services) have been top-notch. read more

I was recommended by the VA Hospital to give this company a call; Not expecting what it was going to be like getting a psychiatric evaluation to hopefully Reenter the Armed Forces. Once I called I automatically felt this was the right place; Staff was so helpful and feeler with experience and information. Once I Made my appointment it was nothing but care and love the whole interview/evaluation. I can really say my experience here and your experience here will forever be a positive memory. Thank you to all the Staff and Doctor Murphy for helping me get my military life back on track. Please dont hesitate y'all to one of these super qualified staff members today. Dr. chander Mohan is by far the worst psychiatrist I have ever been with. He doesn't care about his patients and basically wastes your time scheduling appointment after appointment and will keep telling you Bullshit excuses as to why he can't get you your prescription. Absolutely terrible office in general they are so clustered and have zero organization or urgency to get what you need taken care of. I had an appointment last Thursday. I've been seeing my dr for about a year. I go in once every 3 months to renew my scripts. My dr was sick & I had to reschedule my appointment. Not a big deal, it happens, but The soonest available I could do without missing work was a month out. I explained to the front desk girl that I was out of refills on my scripts & she assured me that when the dr was back, they'd get the script. Monday came & I hadn't heard anything & was almost out of meds. I called again. A request for my prescription was never put in. They would call it in, i was told. For the second time, I explained to the front desk that one of them is a controlled substance (so it can't be called in) with NASTY withdrawal symptoms & that I was almost out. She told me once again that they could call it in. The next day, I get a phone call that even tho I had been seeing this dr for a year, & taking this controlled substance that has nasty withdrawal symptoms for almost 2 years, I'd have to come in first. Again, I can't get in for a month because of work. So they expect me to go thru a month of withdrawal. I realize the front desk staff are not doctors & nurses but they should at least know their own policies on prescriptions. I should've been told this on Thursday. And it should never happen where a doctor just cuts a patient off from a med where withdrawal can cause death for no reason. I'll never go back here & I'll go without all my meds from now on cuz I'm not going thru this again. read more

Waited for almost two hours after making an appointment weeks earlier this should never happen at a place like this. No one cared or did anything. I arrived on time and the staff claimed to have accidentally erased my appointment. Instead of someone seeing me anyway knowing I had been there for an hour at that point, they chose to stay behind the glass and argue about who made the mistake and how to correct it. They spoke about my appointment where the entire waiting room could hear. This was the most humiliating experience. i was told by my pcp to see psychiatry for continuing my small dose of an anti anxiety med. i have been taking for stress and anxiety. i specifically told the office what i needed to be seen for. they told me that they treated anxiety and prescribed meds. they gave me an appt. with a dr. royak. during a virtual visit he was rude. he did not look at me one time. he asked some questions. i explained the acumulating stressors in my life, and explained my pcp told me to see psychiatry to continue.the med i was on..after a short time the concensus was he refused to continue a small dose of a med. i had been on. he told me he would give me an antidepressants . although i told him 3 times i was not depressed. he kept pushing anti depressants which i declined. this man is uncareing, rude. i'm thinking of contacting medicare not to pay for.the short visit. a waste of my time and added to my stress. i would not recommend this group to anyone!! especially royak! read more

I wish I could give Advanced Recovery Concepts a zero star rating. If you struggle in anyway, do your mental health a favor by NOT GOING HERE! My husband was referred. The first visit was fine, but everything went downhill from there. My husband would have to call numerous times to to schedule an appointment or get refills on medications. When no one would return his call, I would call on his behalf. While in appointments, his appointment would be interrupted by other staff members coming in to whisper in the ear of the mental health professional my husband was meeting with. Finally, after leaving the house to go to his appointment, he was called to be informed that his mental health professional was sick and unable to meet, but since it was Saturday his appointment wouldn't be able to be rescheduled until Monday. The office would call on Monday to reschedule. We are still waiting on that call from weeks ago. My husband has since found another mental health professional who was appalled at the treatment provided especially the lack of directions provided on a particular medical. Now that my husband is else where he sees how unprofessional the office (paper thin walls), office staff (not returning calls, not following through), and mental health professional (inappropriate personal information) was. read more

I saw Matthew Coffman twice, he was so kind and warm. However, he talked about himself the entire time! I thought it was a fluke, or end of day tiredness the first session, but the second session was even worse. By time I left the appointments I knew his daughters hobbies, neighbors names and what kind of cars they drove, all about his camping trip the upcoming weekend, etc... He was so nice, but I had stuff I came in for that I needed to talk about. I really thought being a professional, he'd have given me the time and space to talk about it. read more
