I've been on more elaborately decorated mini golf courses, but this is pleasant enough and well-maintained. I would have preferred a bit more shade while playing on a sunny day, but then that probably would have led to more leaves on the greens. The pop music soundtrack contributed to a lighthearted mood. It was a good way to spend part of a Saturday afternoon here on the Outer Banks!

Come at sunset on a good day and you'll get a great photo moment. If we want a decadent meal of our favorite fried foods, then we come here. The dood is freshly fried, no soggy food here. Our Daves are their huge basket of fries. The onion rings were so deliciously crunchy. They serve beer and wine. In the off season, they have drink specials as low as $3 for standard beer and $5 for a nice craft. Staff is always friendly. Follow their social media because there's either a band or open mic or karaoke.

It wasn't the worst thing. The actual attractions were original and very cool! We took pics of the kiddos next to the trucks and things! But the absolute best part was taking a ride on the monster truck! That was pretty wild!! Lots of ooohs and aaaahs!! Given the time of year, there were only 3 of us in class so it was nearly 1-on-1 instruction. I learned so much! I stumbled upon Absolutely Outer Banks a handful of years ago and I was impressed with the selection of locally made arts and crafts. Ever since, this is my go to spot for legitimate and tasteful Outer Banks souvenirs. In addition to locally made items they also have some vintage items and even some new items for sale. One item that this store specializes in is really cool resin windows that are unique and exude happiness. Absolutely Outer Banks has artwork in all mediums and in all price points. They have jewelry, wood signs, candles, prints, glass work, textiles, metal work, etc.  On my most recent visit I enjoyed looking at a vintage pin ball machine and eyeing up the beautiful array of Fiestaware. There is plenty of opportunity for ooohhhing and ahhhing.  The owner is super friendly so that adds to the overall great experience. Absolutely Outer Banks is centrally located in Kitty Hawk in the former spot of a bank.

They offer not only jewelry, but wall art, prints, pottery, small stained glass pieces and the best smelling goat's milk soaps. I had to get the amaretto scented bar for mom. They had some really nice hardwood wall wine racks too - so simple in design yet very elegant. I always love coming into this gallery when I have the opportunity to visit Duck not only to browse the many unique items they carry, but also for the friendly service and because those soaps make the shop smell so good!

I'll be honest, I didn't view a majority of the paintings in the gallery area, and I kind of just glided through there and headed straight for their gift shop. It's small and it actually has its own entrance so if you didn't want to walk through the gallery, you could just go around the corner to entrance to the shop. The guy working on this particular day was super funny and quite the joy to talk to. He had joke after joke making it hard to leave here. While he chatted away with my family members I browsed the different items they have in here. The have a lot of Disney figurines and t-shirts that you won't find elsewhere. It is a great, unique place to stop into when you are in the shopping area.
