I stumbled across this wee gem of a place a while back and I am always popping in to sample the great selection of foods and condiments they offer! They are an independent delicatessen offering delights such as cured meats, olives, cheese, fish, sweets, jams, spices , sauces..... you get the idea! The staff are awesome and really know their stuff and are only too happy to make recommendations for new things to try. They stock award winning produce and although you pay more here than in say Tesco's you really can't put a price on food this good! After 75years of trading you know these guys have it right! The fish is a must and the olive bar, well, is awesome! They also do lovely hampers starting for as little as £15...never too soon to be thinking about Christmas gifts!

Arcadia is situated on a part of the Lisburn Road where all the boutiques and other fantastically expensive stores like to make their mark. In the sense of being expensive, Arcadia is no different! The difference is that I don't mind spending money on good food and this place has it by the bucket full! The have some fantastic smoked cured ham which is so nice I would try very hard to justify spending my whole shopping budget on a lb of it and eating nothing else all week. The staff know their stuff which is very necessary for a specialist shop like this.

Just a pity it is so far out of the city centre. This deli is every bit as good as Sawyers and a lot cheaper.

A great Deli based on Lisburn road, I only found out about it last year but it's been going for 80 years.

Clean, fresh, warm and welcoming with a huge choice, a good sized portion and a very decent price. The shop itself reminds me of a French deli with all the gorgeous cheeses on display and the shelves which are home to dips, spreads and chutneys! Seriously this is my kind of place! I once had a white chocolate cheesecake in here many moons ago and the image and taste are well engraved in my memory - it looked like something out of a magazine and the taste was thick, creamy yet melting and amazing. I sound like a freak but I will never forget it - haven't tasted one like it since. I can't rave about this place and the food enough - just go, you'll love it!

I've seen the sign out on the main road (which would be easy to miss) every day as it's on my commute to work and yet I've never been in. So this worked out well. What a great hidden gem, loved this place. If you're looking for it, it is opposite the attendant-less Maxol garage, down the side of the used car place. The décor has all the hallmarks of a trendy contemporary coffee shop/deli, nothing too original, but to their credit they have distilled the design to the best elements of it and then executed the layout very well, so it's a nice place to be. The staff were great too which I love as there is little to endear a place to me more quickly than nice people working there who are nice, not through customer training but because they are just good folks!! The food when was great, a wide range of mouth-watering choices are clearly displayed across the huge menu..... which is the entire back wall of the place. It has been painted in blackboard paint and the menu chalked up in big clear writing. The prices although on the higher end of average aren't extortionate by any means so I wouldn't call it cheap eats but you get top quality food and service for just north of average price. The coffee was great, which is an essential element for me and the last thing I ate was a scone..... as we were there so early, it was freshly backed and still warm from the oven......................... so so good!

It's chicken tossed in a really tasty and not overly hot buffalo sauce and placed in a wrap with their own selection of salads but can be tailored to your liking, then toasted until it's just right. Simple brunch menu and have to say was really tasty and efficient and all home cooked. I had wheaten bread with poached egg and Ballymaloe relish, the bread was from French Village and lovely and the eggs had runny yolks which I love. They do fresh smoothies and don't appear to fry anything as there was a choice of poached or scrambled on the menu. They also have soya and almond milk, (unsweetened almond milk) I was delighted as not many do this. The other half had a grill and nothing was greasy or left a grease mark on the plate and nothing was left on the plate. This consisted of toast, poached eggs (runny yolks) large mushroom and bacon. Was simple and effective although the table was very small for everything.  Nice and friendly place with friendly efficient service and also reasonable compared to other places.

Thank you Colin W and Brian H for the excellent recommendation!
