This dealership is part of the Plattner Auto group. Do NOT trust anything they say. They advertised on a vehicle I purchased, a 2017 Chevy Traverse, a loaner vehicle, which I did not know about until I received the vehicle...... that the vehicle had a 10 yr/100,000 mile Warranty. I still have the photo That was online. Shame on me for signing this deal, but everyone was so nice. Now I know why! They a shuysters! After asking nicely several times where the paperwork was, I have been given the total b.s. run around so I could not get out the deal in the 30 days...... they are a total dirt bag outfit. The saleswoman begged me for days to give a GREAT review. Why? All I got was the run around. Told I was "given an awesome deal"..... where is my tire warranty. Yesterday, I called about a used Chevy Truck for sale. I verified the price and said I'd be there in an hour (driving out from Sarasota). Once I saw the truck, and drove it, I said I wanted to buy it. I asked what the bottom line price was, since I was paying cash. I was then told that the purchase price would be 80% MORE than the advertised price! What a scam! When I left, a couple in the parking lot told me that the same exact thing had happened to them, just before I walked in. Avoid this place... we wish Google had a no stars option. A $2680 bait and switch. We are out of state buyers and made an offer on tha car advertised for $11000. Dealer countered, saying the sell price is $13,680. They claim no fees, but they charge a $1000 FEE for a cash sale, a $1000 FEE for not trading in a vehicle, a $680 FEE for "accessories" which our salesperson could not even explain in detail. We are smart people and expect their to be taxes, title, and some sort of nominal fee extra, but this response was insulting. Not my first out of state car purchase, but by far the worst. I was a vendor that made signage for this store twice and had to chase my money both times. The first invoice for approximately $300 took 5 months to get paid. The 2nd invoice for $30 dollars for some Christmas displays still is outstanding 4 mos. later. My father and I were looking into a wrx at this dealership and had questions about pricing. One of your employees was really aggressive right off the bat. I didn't even get his name due to his horrible attitude. We mentioned we were looking at multiple options and he started saying that this is the best priced vehicle in Florida (it wasn't). I didn't appreciate the way he was talking to us so I told him to relax, it's not that big of a deal. He then snapped at me to not tell him what to do so I turned to my dad and told him let's go. I'm not going to do business with someone that is disrespecting my family. As we're walking away he started calling us derogatory slurs. Cursing at us and calling us "bummy beaners". He got physically aggressive and removed his shirt saying to catch him out on the street so we can "throw hands". An absolutely ridiculous experience. That was a horrible reflection of your dealership. As a journalist it is my responsibility to report horrible business ethics and practices such as this. Do better. read more

I have a 2015 Chevy colorodo Z71... purchased in January 2019 started having issues with the engine in March of 2019.. brought it to original dealership they could not figure it out. Brought it to 4 other dealerships and no one could figure it out. Had a private mechanic look at it and both he and I came up with same conclusion. Bad lifter. Brought it to local dealer in punta gorda they had it 3 different times each time telling me issue was fixed. It was not! Finally brought it to Ralf in Arcadia and they figured it out! It was a bad lifter. Ralf ordered a brand new engine for it and the service team who I dealt with was Ralf service manager, Dinah service advisor, Corey service tech! Not only did they fix the problem but detailed my truck after it was done! I can't say anything about the sales department but I can truly recommend the service department 100%! I will be returning to Arcadia Chevrolet SERVICE for many years to come! Thank you so much Ralf, Dinah, and Corey for actually taking the time to diagnose and fix my truck!!! read more

Made an appt with Arcadia Chevy because our front windshield washer wasn't working. Got there for the 1pm appt. Was told it was the pump, which they would have to order for about $30 and would be in in about a week OR they HAD a pump and motor assembly for about $70. I approved to change out because we were going on vacation in two days. Service person, Dinah, said it would take about an hour. I went into the customer waiting area and not 20 minutes later was called to the cashier office that my vehicle was ready!!! BUT in review of the charges I was charged $256 for labor - TWO HUNDRED FIFTY SIX DOLLARS. Was told it was "diagnostic" ($140) and labor charges. $140 to "determine" the pump wasn't working AND $116 to install???? In the past we have mainly used Arcadia Chevy for our Equinox (which we Leased from them) and Avalanche...............but NOT ANY MORE. This was the final straw. Their goal is $$ for over-charged services not customer retention. read more

As of today, I'm a new Chevy 2500HD owner....I traded in my 1500. I do most of my looking on the internet, primarily checking out prices. Arcadia Chevy seemed to have that nailed down, compared to others in my area. I'm from Fort Myers. I sell for a living. I wouldn't be doing my job, if I didn't try to get the absolute best possible deal. That's why I want to say thank you to Sharon Lalicata (my saleswoman) and Derrick (manager aka: my opponent)...for putting up with me. Low overhead btw....you won't be paying for some multi-million new building. Sharon wasn't the only one to see me walk into the showroom, but she was the only one to come up and "ask for the sale." She was hungry for the sale. She wanted the sale more than her coworkers. I found her to be very nice to chat with as well. Derrick made it happen.....we had a handshake deal fairly quickly. I'm happy, they're happy. I buy a lot of cars. They will see me again, and a few of my friends as well. read more

Worst experience EVER! One lie after another ! Purchased new vehicle Jan 2019, took me 3 months 4 days to get my registration ! Todd told me blatant lies ( all paperwork must go through 3rd party tagging agency in every state) NOT IN IOWA ! When I challenged him on his facts and gave him the number to call he became very short with me. Zena from the corporate office was then FINALLY and most remarkably able to locate my paperwork after this . She also stated she just wished Todd would keep his mouth shut on matters he knows nothing about . I paid the extra $ for the perma plate, had date to have this done and when to get done was told it didn't happen . ( another Platner garage ~ where they sent me ~ in Belle Glade ) when I asked about this in Arcadia the manager working that day said to me " how do you know it wasn't done? It's clear." I replied , I was told by the service manager who returned the car back to me ! His reply was " ma'am I am very aware of who you are and the vehicle but you are just another customer afterall" Those are just the big things ... 3 months of BS from this dealership ... run run far away from these con artists !!!! read more

We were in the market for an inexpensive spare vehicle under $15K. We located a 2016 Chevy Impala LTZ stock # 5134525 listed on AutoTrader for $8,753.00. I called to inquire and was informed that in addition to the base price, there is a $2,999 "Platter Automotive Value Pack" along with the other necessary fees (tags, taxes, etc.) bringing the total to $14,402. I said no thanks and pointed out their improper way of advertising. We made a list of vehicles to see the next day and as we were leaving the first dealership, we received a call from Plattner's. Note, I DID NOT call them, they called me. Josh informed me that we could be "out the door" for $14, 402 and after researching other vehicles, this was a very reasonable price for the vehicle. I indicated that I was interested and informed Josh that I would put down 50% and we would be on our way to view the vehicle. I asked him if they would agree to accept $14,000 even which 2% less than the asking price. Josh stated he would check with the manager. As we were driving to their location (1 hour and 20 minutes away) Josh called and stated that he spoke with the owner because all deals must be approved by the owner and the owner will not take less than $15K. I politely stated no and ended the call. I can't imagine what would have occurred if we actually drove to the dealership. One of my sons sells used vehicles in another state and he informed me that dealers often make additional money thru financing adding a point or two to the interest rate. Due to our down payment and excellent credit, they wouldn't have been able to further profit from the financing. We would have refinanced the small balance with our own CU late anyway. My point in writing this review is to vent and to possible prevent another unsuspecting customer from being scammed. Do not conduct business with this dealership! read more

If I could leave no stars I would. I was looking at a 2009 Cadillac SRX. I know the car had issues. I looked at it anyway and test drove it. I asked the sales person if the shop could tell me what the check engine code was. Also, the vehicle needed brakes. The sales person told me they don't let vehicles leave unsafe so they would take care of the brakes. The sales person also said they would get back with me on the check engine code. Well, they never did. All the salesperson had to say to me is this is an as is car, we are not going to repair it or anything. Price is "X" take it or leave it. Just tell me the truth instead of telling me lies then ghosting me. Funny part is I work in this town. I was warned by a couple of my co-workers who work here not to go there. I ended up purchasing a vehicle at another dealership (Buick) in another town. I would stay away from this dealership and purchase elsewhere. If they don't deal straight on the front end, I could only imagine how bad it is in back office when you make your final deal. read more

Do not fall for all the fees they tack onto ALL their cars. There prices are listed on not the best deals around so they "brag" on advertising. After reading the customers comments, like myself, who had the same experience I had it made me even more disturbed. Why because they do not give a Dam about what you or I think. The sales people are so smooth on trying to justify their obnoxious fees. I luckily spoke with a former sales person at another dealership who actually worked for this joint, he quite, because of the deceit to customers. Every person I spoke with I told about Arcadia Chevrolet and he could not believe I said the name of this dealership. Folks...the price listed is not the PRICE they tack on over $5,000 more in ridiculous fees. STAY away go someplace else. I am an active duty service member and was working with them to purchase a car and ship to me out of state. We ran through the numbers and realized I had a better financing deal through my own bank; we agreed to move forward with the purchase and gave them $1k over the phone to hold the car until all the paperwork could be overnighted to me as well as sent the information for them to request the funds from my bank. A few minutes after sending them everything I got a call back stating that they could not honor our purchase amount due to a $235 discount they originally agreed upon (USAA Buyers Program) and was told that the GM yelled at him for agreeing to the deal and if I don't pay an extra $235 I need to forget about the car because they can't loose that money in addition to the $500 kickback loss from not financing through them. He was very unprofessional and tried to make me feel like an idiot for caring about the unethical price change. The next day Derrick, sales manager, called and said that the previous guy was incompetent and he would send over an email with a detailed list of all the fees so we could move forward with the deal. I'm still waiting on said email, good thing I was able to purchase another vehicle with people that seemed like they wanted my business. read more

I saw a 2012 Chevrolet Impala LT advertised on Plattner's website for $8700. I went into an online chat and asked if the car was in Arcadia. The reply was that it was there, and provided me with the address. I drove for a hour to get to the dealership. When I asked to see the car, they showed me a 2006 Chevrolet Impala with over 100,000 miles on it instead. I asked to see the 2012 Impala. After they checked around, the salesman, Nolan, told me that the car is in Quincy, FL. Nolan offered to get the car brought to Arcadia, and I said that would be good. Then, although I didn't drive any cars, he needed a photocopy of my driver's license, and my email address and telephone number. Then he said that he needed to fill out all of the paperwork now, so if I like the car in a day or two when it arrives, I would be set to go. He went into another office, and came back with a sales order. He wanted to charge me a Dealer Fee, even though the website said that there wasn't a dealer fee. He also wanted to charge me an accessory fee, for getting the car ready for sale. Plus a $184.95 electronic filing fee, a $150 fee to get my plates, a title fee, and tax. My $8,700 car would have cost $10,300. I told Nolan that these fees were bogus, and I wasn't paying them. I left, never to return. read more
