Office experience is absolutely horrid. Dr Olsen is great but his staff needs an attitude adjustment and perhaps some coaching on customer service. I went to see Dr Plansky to remove a bunion on my right foot Little i knew he would be careless and negligent when removing the bunion, he removed it partially, leaving a part of the bunion intact, and instead of shaving it straight he dig inward the bone deeper, leaving a space in between the bones on one side. Because of this reason, my recovery has been painful and very slow and after 3 months he just decided to 'brush me off' without notifying me that it was my last visit. As soon as i started questioning him about the procesure when i saw the xrays before and after my surgery. Also i had to call the office 3 times a week for a prescription he was supposed to send to my pharmacy and he never did and i had to wait 2 weeks until my next visit with him to get it. I felt he was negligent . I do not recommend to go with Dr Plansky in Mesa AZ. Office. read more

I came here because of foot pain and I was referred. Was actually scheduled to see Dr Olsen. But he wasn't available. I was lucky enough to have Dr Plaskey. What an exceptional Doctor. He listens. He's funny... and when I had a meltdown about getting an injection... he reassured me it would be fine. Guess what? It was. My foot is %100!! I had EPAT treatments as well. I would prefer to leave zero stars. I have a foot injury and needed to find a Dr asap to evaluate the injury. I thought the website was great and they had multiple locations and Dr's in my network. I reserved an appointment, signed the forms and received emails saying that my request was received. I drove 30 minutes to the location, and the desk associate was rude and said I didn't make an appt just a request and they cancelled it because it wasn't available. However I didn't receive an email stating that and obviously was in need of an appointment. So instead of offering to find me another appointment or offering to help me she stood there looking at me like I was annoying her. I tried to state that I needed to see a Dr but you could tell she didn't care, so I left. What terrible customer service. I have no interest in seeing any of these Dr.'s or this practice. read more

In response to Dr. Olsen: I don't "feel" I had a bad experience, you left me with a rotting hole to my bone and refused to fix your negligence. I've lost mobility, have PTSD and deal with pain every day because of you. Do not let Dr Olsen operate on you. He operated and it would not heal. I needed a revision surgery but he ghosted me when my insurance dropped me. He would not return calls. Would not respond to notes left with his employees that I was in pain and needed prescription refills. I ended up in the ER where the doctors were shocked and appalled that a Dr Olsen would do this to someone. They said that he had an obligation to see me heal to success. But no. Dr. Olsen nearly cost me my foot. At the ER I was given an MRI to see if Olsen's actions infected my bone. I was given emergency surgery by doctors who actually put patient healing, first. Here is the worst part. The hospital requested records from Dr. Olsen and they wouldn't send my records. I had called and they ignored the requests, mine and the hospital's and they ghosted me again. The hospital never received them. Do not trBe careful, find a doctor who cares more about healing people than money. read more

First time to this place and will not be back. Appointment time 10:20. Arrived at 10:06 to begin paperwork. Finished paperwork before my 10:20 appointment time. 10:38 patients who arrived after my appointment time were being brought back. I ask the nurse, my appointment was at 10:20, how much longer? Nurse stated let me check and never came back. I went to the front desk, reminded them of my appointment time. Front desk person asked another person how much longer, that person said a minute. I asked how long are appointments typically because I'm now concerned about getting to work, she said 10 minutes. 10 minutes for first appointment? Hmmm I sat back down, still was not called and finally had say to the receptionist I had to get to work. She apologized and but no explanation given and no one addressed the tardiness issue. Dr. Olsen did a fantastic job surgically removing my sesamoid and I absolutely recommend his consultancy and services. My left foot had been fractured for over a year with very little progress and too much pain to even exercise. I saw another podiatrist but was not impressed with their professionalism and expertise. I visited with Dr. Olsen and we developed a game plan for getting back on my feet. He laid out the pros and cons of different scenarios and let me choose the path I preferred...which eventually was surgery. He predicted perfectly the outcome and recovery time for surgery, and now I can finally walk and exercise again!!! It's as if my foot was never fractured. "VERY IMPORTANT" I went to Arcadia Foot and Ankle in the Mesa location. I met Dr. Nathan Plasky. I had a bunion on my left foot (toe). We schedule for surgery it went well. That was just the beginning of 2 more surgery. After a few weeks my toe went on the other toe. I couldn't walk at this time. I went back to the doctor because of my big toe. Now when I went back I had a problem with my ankle and the bunion was growing again. Another surgery was scheduled. He had to break the toe and fuse the ankle. The outcome was something horrible. My ankle was twisted. At that time I could not walk. This continue for a year. I needed to do something. So I went back to the doctor. He said that I needed another surgery. Almost 8 months to decide for another surgery. I did get another surgery this time I did it right. I looked for another doctor and I googled the doctor. At the moment I am still in a boot. But very happy the I will be able to walk. Be careful where you go for treatment. The doctor that did the second surgery is Dr. Jason Lake. I thank GOD that I found Dr. Lake. read more

This has got to be one of the most rude and greedy doctors on the planet. Extremely unprofessional. During my first visit to her office she began to look through a shoe catalog with the idea of getting me interested. She showed me a couple different shoes in the catalog. Get this... she suggested I go to a specific nearby shoe store to look at and try on the shoes. She even had the nerve to tell me to try on the shoes but not buy the shoes from a nearby shoe store. Rather, the rude Doctor wanted me to return to her office to order the shoes from her. I have other things to say about this pathetic doctor but do not have time. This past January I ran the P.F. Chang's Half Marathon and had a minor issue, thought that I broke my right foot. After looking through a number of reviews and locations. I decided to call Dr. Allison Cheney for a consult. I scheduled the appointment and arrived a few minutes ahead of time to make sure that I would know where I was going and to ensure a parking spot. Arcadia Foot & Ankle is near the super busy Chestnut Fine Foods & Provisions so thankfully there are two reserved spots at the front entrance. After filling in the required paperwork, I had a chance to talk frankly with Dr. Cheney about my concerns. She took a few x-rays, examined my foot and set my mind at ease. The foot was not broken, only slightly strained. She was able to give me a script for an anti-inflammatory and we scheduled the follow up visit. I went back after 3 weeks and got the go ahead to run again. I would recommend Arcadia Foot & Ankle to anyone looking for a good foot doctor in the arcadia area. read more

After a toe-injury that sent me to the ER several months ago, I started getting pain again and went on the hunt for a podiatrist I'd feel comfortable with. My health insurance site, Yelp, and the fates led me to Dr. Cheney's office and I was not disappointed. There was actually a podiatrist much closer to my house, but when I called that office repeatedly, no one ever answered. Needless to say, this worked to my benefit as I found Arcadia Foot and Ankle once I kept looking. Everything has been smooth, from booking my appointment to going in the office. It was easy to find, the paperwork was minimal, and everyone I've interacted with has been professional and friendly - even Esther the awesome office dog! Dr. Cheney and her staff were thorough, asked all the right questions, and were genuinely interested in helping ease my discomfort. After just a few minutes with Dr. Cheney, I understood so much more about my injury and how to prevent future pain than what I took away from my 6 hour saga in the hospital months ago. I had Plantar fasciitis many years ago and couldn't remember the name of the podiatrist so we found Arcadia F & A on the insurance website. We made an appointment and there was no crazy long wait to get an appointment which was fantastic because I was pretty sure the fasciitis acting up again and it was killing me, and it wasn't far from my home. I went to my appointment with Dr Nathan Plaskey. Well, when I say there wasn't a crazy long wait it's because I showed up a week early! Oops! So instead of sending me away the woman who greeted me told me to hold on a sec, checked, came back and told me that they would see me! A brand new patient!! That is really unheard of. I filled out my paperwork, paid the copay and met with Dr Plaskey. He gave me excellent advice on some stretches to do, a cortisone shot, we discussed the arches I had purchased back in the day for my foot (that I stopped wearing and my wife kept telling me to wear but I ignored her; lesson learned. Thanks Hon. ) that should be taken out of moth balls and to stop wearing flip flops. All of these have helped me and I couldn't be happier with the practice and Dr Plaskey. read more

They cancelled my appointment without telling me. I arrived at the podiatrist's office a few minutes before my appointment, and the receptionist was confused. She said that there was not a doctor in today. This was for a follow-up that we had scheduled three weeks ago. The receptionist asked, hadn't anyone called me? No. I had received two automated phone calls to remind me of the appointment. One was a week before the appointment, the other 24 hours before it. After I got home I listened to the voicemail again, to double check that I had not made a mistake. It was, as I had thought, a reminder. I checked my call history-- no other calls. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I took time off of work for this appointment. I know mistakes happen but they clearly need a better process to make sure none of their patients are forgotten. read more

I found the building and a good place to park. After completing a modest medical history form, I was promptly shown to an examination room. Dr. Plaskey was professional, very clinically experienced, and humane. He spent plenty of time with me to diagnose my heel injury (including X-Rays) and carefully outlined our treatment options.The best Podiatrist I have ever seen in my 70 years. After we returned from our honeymoon I schedule an appointment to get my toe nails looked at. I ran and completed my first marathon and my left toe had a small bruise under the nail the size of a felt pen tip while my right toenail was dead and starting to fall off from trauma hiking Mount Humphrey's, running, and stubbing it so I went in to see what could be done for both toenails. I am not a feet person. Feet gross me out so it really bothered me that both toenails were so unattractive. But Dr. Plaskey did not seem to mind and checked out my feet. He was kind and professional and did not seem concerned and told me what my options were. He prescribed me Nuvail to thin out the right toe nail in hopes that a new one will grow back and scheduled a one month follow up to check on both toes. The doctor didn't even know if I had been given a medication when she had my notes from urgent care, the receptionist is incredibly rude every single time. No current reviews. Went for a ingrown nail. I was impressed with Dr. Olsen. Did the procedure along with information on soaking and wrapping the nail. The follow up appointment was given to me two weeks later. Within two days my foot was swelling and in extreme pain. Calling the after hours number since this was Saturday. Dr. Olsen said go to the Emergency Room.Nothing was suggested to relieve the pain or swelling or the reason. Dr. Olsen said only three words to me. Knowing I was going to the ER. no call from his office as to say are you able to come in and have Dr. Olsen take a look. I am a senior and a diabetic. Dr. Olsen or his staff had no regard. Another bad idea, bathroom surgery on your foot. Noted. Based on the referral of a friend and fellow yelper, I reluctantly took my problem child toe to Arcadia Foot and Ankle this morning. Dr Cheney is great, a hybrid of being understanding to my childlike fear of medical needles and procedures, yet straightforward about what I needed to remedy the issue at hand. I am very thankful for Dr Cheney, I have 7 year old twins one of them had a very painful ingrown toenail. He was extremely sensitive about anyone even touching it. My son jumped off a wall and fractured his ankle, we went to see Dr. Cheney and she immediately pulled out all the stops to get my son into surgery right away! She saw him through his recovery and today he is back to climbing and working out. The fracture was severe and without the proper care he could of had a hard time walking or doing what he loves. Starting with the first day my daughter and I walked in the office, through each subsequent visit, the receptionist and Dr. Cheney were rude, cold, unkind and insensitive. My daughter now refuses to return because she's afraid of Dr. Cheney. She has no bedside manner and clearly doesn't know how to work with children. I went to this office in search of relief from plantar fasciitis. Dr. Cheney and her crew were very rude and insensitive and I will not visit again. They did not give me pain relief until i demanded it. They were totally insensitive to the fact that I could not carry my 6 month old around safely with my foot in constant pain. I had to ask for a boot to wear and even THAT did not help. I only experience relief after seeing a chiropractor. After I stopped going to Dr. Cheney, they tried to bill me for a visit that i did not attend and 5 months later they are still trying to bill me. Do not go to this office.
