As one that rarely sees a doctor, when I had to get a surgical clearance I found it was not easy to…read moredo. My surgery was out of town, so I first tried several (like 8) semi-local places I found online in several cities, as well as the local primary care physician. The obstacles here were numerous- the PCP had to "approve" me, and it would be at least a month to see him. Next, I found most urgent care businesses either would not or could not do the lab work and ECG my surgeon needed. I found a place (Care Spot) near the surgeon's office (2.5 hours away) and had to come back and wait several hours for an "appointment". The receptionist unlike the business name was not caring, and never mentioned fasting for the blood work. Since we had like 3 hours until my "appointment" to come back and wait several more hours, my wife & I stopped and had lunch. While there, I got a call from the business and was asked if I had been fasting? I said yes, right up until I had lunch, as no one had said anything about it while we were there earlier. I cancelled the "appointment" and we drove home. A couple of days later, my wife had an appointment in Thomasville, so we stopped in to Doctor's Care. The first thing I noticed was the green circle gun sign- meaning the business had no irrational fear of defensive weapons. I appreciated the wording on it so much I took a picture and added it for this review. Inside, this receptionist was very caring, and helpful. I saw there were a couple of Bibles in the reading material as well. This place was outstanding! It was 180 degrees out from Care Spot. No coming back, they don't do appointments, and the remainder of the staff including the doctor were very friendly. He even diagnosed a minor issue I had and told me he could handle it on my next visit. BTW, no fasting required. I was in and out within a couple of hours and they will have my lab work back in a day's time. More icing on the cake- they were $40 cheaper than Care Spot. :) Doctor's Care is an example of a properly-operated urgent care facility. I would strongly encourage anyone needing timely and quality care to go here.

She said they hold appointments for an hour even if you're not here. Then she tells a guy when he walked him they're extremely busy and he should go to TMH urgent care. (What)?? Then she tells a customer they may not take his insurance without knowing if that was the case so he could leave. The problem is I have the same insurance that was previously accepted. I asked for her manger (Xavier she stated) She called him and lied about my concerns and then sat there and whispered with another office worker while still not wanting to work. She didn't mention to me when I checked in they were running behind I had sat over 45min before she says they will try to see if the other appointments don't show which they hold for an hour even if there not in the building. I've never heard of this, but maybe this is why they turn patients away and get behind. Terrible!!!!!!! I hope this gets fixed soon because customer service like this is not what I'm accustomed to with PF.:( Whitney Wells (Regional Director) if you see this the staff needs training in policy and customer service.

I really can't say enough about the care I've received at this practice. My first visit was the…read moreday I discovered that Convenient Care had closed, and I had a raging sinus infection. I'd just gotten back to town at 5:30pm on a Friday, and I really had no idea what I was going to do. All I knew was that suffering until Monday was NOT an option. I was relieved to find their listing in the phone book and headed right over. I haven't been to any other GP office since! The finer points: * The doctors and PAs are attentive and friendly. I've never felt like I was being ignored or talked down to, and honestly, I genuinely enjoy all of them on a personal level. I tend to be a bit of a know-it-all, which I'm sure is a real pain for them, but I rarely visit with absolutely no idea why I feel terrible. It's important to me to understand what's going on in my body and why I'm receiving particular treatments, and these lovely folks absolutely humor me! * I'm uninsured, and the staff takes my finances into consideration. I'm given the choice about any and all tests that are done, and if sample medications or coupons are available, they make sure I have them. * I've had a couple minor momentary health freak-outs, and there's always a nurse available for a quick chat to determine if what's going on is something to worry about or not. * There's an in-house chiropractor. 'Nuff said. I only have two complaints about this office. About 50% of the time, there's an hour or more wait to be seen. I can't mark them down on this in good conscience, though, because when I have a migraine, I'd much rather sit in their waiting room for an hour than have to go to the ER or wait a week or two to be seen like at other offices I've been to in the past. Also, it's hard to get a return call from a doctor or nurse, but I have to chalk that up to exactly how busy this office is. If it's really that big of a deal, I can just show up and be seen as a walk-in or talk to a nurse in person. Overall, I'm really, really, pleased, and will return as long as the doors are open.

I have been a patient of Valdosta Family for many years. I see both Leon Smith, MD for primary care…read moreas well as Jennifer Lawrence, MD for Endocrinology and Dr Tidmore for Rheumatology. I have been very pleased with the quality of care I have received over the years. At times the office can be a very busy place as they do have a thriving walk in business, but in all circumstances they do provide high quality care promptly. My wife and daughter are also patients there. Many of my employees are also patients there. I highly recommend Valdosta Family Medicine.

Did I mention that she tripped me up and I did a full face plant on the sidewalk, breaking my nose? We picked Quick Care because I was bleeding and it was the closest. They were amazing. Filled with Covid patients, they put me in a room right away. I had to wait a while, but the staff could not have been more accommodating. I think I saw Dr. Bowman, but since I also broke my glasses I wasn't seeing much. About an hour later I left with a tetanus shot, x-rays, 3 stitches and advice to see an ENT when I got home. I am a big baby when it comes to needles, and he chatted me through each stick. I had to call there today to have my x-rays sent to the ENT here, and once again the staff was phenomenal, handling it quickly and even told me that it was nice meeting me yesterday. Thanks to everyone there for keeping a smile on my face, because I really just wanted to cry. PS- didn't get to Cincinnati, but my husband did stop and get me some pecans before we left Tifton!

After traveling from out of town to see them, I went to their location. I went to the desk and explained what I needed again, that I had called. Physicals, XRays, Lab work for employment, with reports to back up any results. Everything is listed online as a service they provide. The front desk said they had to review the instructions with the doctors. When she returned, she said, "No, they aren't going to mess with this." They claimed to not have anyone on site who can read the XRays or EKGs or other results. She asked what about my Primary Care Physician? Damn, if I had one, why would I be at a clinic? I was livid. Blantenty laziness in my opinion. Their website told me they did all this, a phone call confirmed as well. Not friendly, not helpful and just plain LAZY. Rude and not helpful either.
