Armando maintained our books for more than a year and although he was constantly late for his appointments, we were relatively pleased with his service. Then in July an IRS agent walked into our building requesting forms which apparently Armando failed to submit. I immediately called Armando to get the issue resolved and requested he come ASAP to file the forms. He indicated he was incredibly busy, but could come in three days. Three days later he said he was still too busy but would come the following day, and then the following day he implied he was still too busy with "other clients" and needed another day, and at that point we found another bookkeeper. Honestly, we were appalled Armando didn't see the urgency, especially with an IRS agent knocking on our door and the fact is, it was Armando's ineptitude that caused the IRS agent to come in the first place. Basically, it was Armando's responsibility the IRS was as our business and then Armando failed to respond with the any sense of urgency or importance. We found Armando on Craig's List (that was our first mistake, going to C/L for an experienced bookkeeper) Now that I needed to replace Armando, I called Intuit. They recommend using only QuickBooks-certified independent accounting pros (see link below) and that's how we found our new bookkeeper. Strange for some reason we couldn't locate Armando's name anywhere on the site. Said she couldn't help me, and someone would call back shortly to schedule my consultation. 10/1 - Called back and spoke to Jackie. She never got my message from the first woman I spoke with. Apologized and scheduled my phone consultation for 10/16. 10/16 - 15 minutes before my appointment I got a voicemail from Michael. Said something came up and we'll have to reschedule. "...Jackie will give you a call back SOMETIME BY END OF NEXT WEEK to get you on the schedule again." 4+ weeks after my initial call I have yet to speak to an accountant and still don't have an appointment. Keep in mind, it's OCTOBER. I can't imagine trying to get ahold of this firm during tax season. Business must be booming at MAK because they clearly aren't interested in retaining new clients.

Bob does a great job with finding and suggesting what you will need for your car insurance needs. There's plenty of discounts if you are eligible, I find every couple of months and through the years that my insurance has been pretty low compared to other companies even based on driving record. I now have 3 cars insured with State Farm, but communicating with Bob and Candy have always been a great experience. They are both quick and efficient, and will get you your temporary cards emailed to you within seconds after getting off the phone if not before!
