Relatively new Right when I walked into the shop, I noticed all the walls lined with freezers and refrigerators . Then I noticed , there is no butcher meat counter. This location only has pre-packaged quality meats. The freezer and frig we're stocked with various cuts of meats...just to name a few such as chicken, turkey, wild game,steaks, roasts, chops, filets, and of course their signature sausages which are handcrafted without nitrates or preservatives.. They also carry beef jerky, spice rubs, Salsas 4 All Season brand tortilla chips ( Pittsburg, CA) , bbq grills, artisan crafted cutting boards, and organic traditional sourdough bread from the Brown Goat Company which is a home kitchen bakery made right up the road in Rescue, CA. . But since we were staying in Placerville for a couple nights, I thought I might have to give up some of that healthy eating. Lo and behold... the Placerville Food Co-op!!!! Organic fruits, vegetables, kombucha on tap (and special kombucha from well known brands), gluten free snacks/frozen foods, oat milk, non-dairy ice cream, organic dog foods, food + fresh pressed juiced bar... oh my heavens, I was in love. We even found gluten free brownies and dairy free chocolates from well known out of state brands. And well-priced. Not to mention, we asked for recommendations on gluten free friendly restaurants and the store clerk came back with a list of 15 restaurants! Was not expecting that.
