The guys had to come in and remove eight trees, but I wanted some of them standing for habitat And because of the steep slope I have. So they left them about 4 to 5 feet tall, which was perfect. It was on a very precarious slope. They were able to work around the slope, tight areas, homes nearby and power lines. Of course the powerlines were turned off. They did a fabulous job. I could not believe how efficient they are and how well they did. I will always use them for all my tree removal. They were very quiet and organized when I'd go down to look and check to see how they were doing. You could hardly tell they were there very professional and knew exactly what they were doing. We have received two chip drops from this company and they have done an amazing job delivered exactly as ordered very pleased!

Arborist recommended removal of two trees trees on our property in addition to two original ones we requested. Very professional. There was a two week reschedule due to a power company issue on another job. The job required use of the crane and a chipper that ate entire logs. Near the end of the job, my wife came out and assked more limbing be done that was not on the original contract. I was very uncomfortable with her interfering with the working crew but they handled it well. I am sorry to see some lower ratings for this crew. I can only say the job was well done and an excellent job of clean up. This is the second job I have hired them for and not disappointed. Thank you Archon. read more

Brian and The Archon Crew are the real deal. A tree top broke during a wind storm and it got hung up in another tree. Archon had to bring out a crane and with the same delicate moves of a ballerina, they safely removed the offending tree top. They even cleaned up and left no trace. They are family friendly and fair. I needed to get stumps ground for installation of a septic system drain field. Two months earlier, my septic installer assured me that contrary to the septic design filed with the county, I didn't need the stumps ground. So, I canceled the previous contractor that was scheduled to do that. Then, when the septic installer finally had time in their schedule to install the tanks and drain field, they told me I needed to get the stumps ground first. The contractor that I had lined up earlier to grind the stumps was no longer available. Talk about being livid. I needed it done and with very short notice and the helpful, friendly people at Archon got right on it. I will definitely use them again! read more

I contacted Archon to remove several large fir trees on my rental property, based on their great reviews online. Brian came out and they sent me a bid on the job. I agreed and we signed. I had to wait a month, as the power has to be turned off during the work. I put quite a bit of time into arranging for this, as I had to get my tenants on board, find them an alternative place to park, and arrange for the extensive landscaping with that would be done after the trees were removed. The day before the work was to begin, Brian called with an excuse. He promised that the work would be done ASAP, most likely the following week. The next week there were more excuses. What it's come down to at this point is that Brian says he feels really bad but he didn't read the contract before he sent it to me, and they want $10,000 more than they bid for the job. Incredibly unethical. This is breach of contract. I'm now forced to start all over with the entire project, and most likely won't be able to do it until next year as it will be too late for the landscaping work before I can get another company to do this. I would recommend staying away from this company entirely. read more

Was very impressed by Michael, who came out to give me a quote on trimming/thinning some trees near the back of my house. I thought I needed the work for safety & aesthetic reasons. Michael told me my trees were still juveniles and didn't pose any hazard of being blown over. He also said if he trimmed some of the branches shorter, it would look awful. It is hard to believe that this company has high ratings as my experience was a nightmare. This is a real consumer, your neighbor. First they didn't show up for the estimate and cost me loss of work. Then said I will get my qoute and it was late. Reluctantly I hired them since my boss used them. Big mistake!!!!!! They made a appointment for a day I work so I took the day off , now totalling $ $800 in lost wages. They forgot to put me on the schedule and said sorry we will be out at noon as we have another job. The sales rep showed up and started to say that the quote he gave me didn't include items we agreed on. It was in the contract and he didn't want to honer it until I told him we are done and good buy. Crooked sales tactics. Wow he said he will honor it and they will be out at 12-12:30 and he will call. He did say his workers will want off early as it's Friday so 3:00 or 4:00 . It's now 1:30 and no show or call. So I called and fired them and the office manager could not give a crap I did so. They should send me a $800 check for my lost wages if they had any honor. Avoid this company unless you want to go through what I have went through. David in Gig Harbor. Archon Tree Services recently pruned five trees at a family member's home this month. One of the trees was an English Oak which took some finesse. They arrived on time with promised number of crew. All worked skillfully and with safety paramount. The crew were actually tied in like rock climbers when in the oak tree. They took great care with our trees, the surrounding plants and newly-mulched yard. The clean-up afterwards was also superb. We are going to have them back this Fall to prune a larger conifer before the winter storms come blowing. read more

We requested an estimate for the removal of limbs overhanging our roof and a check-up on the health of the trees on our wooded lot. The estimator found one that definitely needed removal, as well as a very large split trunk tree that would need to be removed in a year or two. We appreciate his honesty in stating that it did not have to be removed this year. We decided to have it done anyway because it was quite close to the house and I'm kind of a worrier. The tree removal crew was incredibly professional and personable. The work was done safely, the firewood limbs and trunk sections were placed out of the way, and the clean-up was meticulous. And we are really looking forward to watching the birds and other critters that will be drawn to our 10 foot habitat stump. Literally cannot say enough good things about Archon. We had an old Maple we loved but due to rot and other damage it needed to come down before it became too dangerous to bring down. Very disappointed in Archon Tree Service. We requested and received an in person review of the tree trimming job we needed done. After seeing the scope of the work and answering our questions regarding what was included in the bid , this company provided us with a bid for the work. We accepted and scheduled the work. Following an unavoidable weather delay they rescheduled. At the last minute they called to cancel that date. This was disruptive to our schedule but we agreed to a new date. The actual work crew arrived in a timely manner only to inform us that there was no way they could do the work. They do not have equipment to perform this type of trimming job! They apologized saying estimator erred in bidding the job in the first place! What? Maybe they know how to trim trees but we will not know and I would advise others to wary of their abilities if the person they send to review job doesn't know that they have limited equipment. read more
