Holy Smokes!! What an amazing service. We have a very large Maple in front, and it was starting to really impact the house - creating a "critter bridge" onto our roof! Tony Canzler and his crew arrived and immediately got to work setting up and proceeded to remove a very tall, very messy pine tree with multiple trunks in my front yard. I had a large sickly fir tree in my back yard. Canzler came out and gave a decent quote. I did check license and insurance, all were in order with no issues. They promised to schedule in 2 weeks, as it wasn't anything urgent. They came out to remove the tree, in a difficult area in my fenced backyard within 7 days! Remarkable! Their crew came, covered the landscaping, removed the tree, and you would never even have known they were there, except the tree was gone. They more than exceeded our expectations. We had a tree that needed immediate limb removal they were prompt and took all debris away. They even removed some smaller dead limbs. The problem is they cut the branch collar along with each of the limbs removed which may eventually damage and/or kill our Douglas Fir. At best the scaring to the tree will be a long time healing. They were kind, quick in their response time. I would recommend them if you need any trees removed, however if you need limbs removed I would hesitate in calling them again. read more

These guys did what they promised, when they promised, how they promised. They asked for preferences up front and as needed. They're clearly competent. They took down a 80 year old fir growing close to power lines and not far from several houses. They made it look easy. (I know it wasn't!!) They came through once again --- and THIS time the entire neighborhood rejoiced! I have had nothing but an AMAZING experience with Canzler Tree Service. A few years ago, I wrote the above review. Then - as we often do - promptly filed their info away thinking I wouldn't need it for a long time. I was WRONG! We share a GIANT (maybe 80-100' long and easily 30' tall) laurel hedge with a neighbor. The ice storm this year decimated it ... making us realize we needed to take it down to a healthier - and stronger - height. My husband called a couple other local places and got bids. But, because multiple people (neighbors) were contributing to the hedge cutting ... we were on a really tight budget, and defined schedule. Then I REMEMBERED!!!! -- CANZLER!!!! I pulled out their old card and we gave them a call. They were able to work within out budget and time frame. This review is a year overdue, but better late than never! I found this company through Yelp and would highly recommend them. I had bids from 3 other tree services and, while they were not the cheapest (slightly more expensive but still within ballpark), I could tell they were professional and courteous. I had 2 huge Holly trees removed, plus 4 stumps ground out. The bid was reasonable and they were quick to begin work. I feel terrible, but it was *pouring* rain in April and they still came out! He even called me at work to make sure it was ok to grind the last stump since it would ruin some tulips. How's that for courtesy!? They did a great job and the yard was clean when they left, with minimal damage from the insanely heavy stump grinder. read more

The nice gentleman was right on time at the beginning of the given window, that never happens. We had used this company in the past. We asked them to quote on a job 12 months ago of which they gave us a reasonable quote. When it came time to get the job done the company raised the quote by 80%. We attempted to talk to the principal who (returned our call 3 days after we had called questioning the quote rise) who was unmoving on the 80% rise in the quote and kept telling my husband "this is our busy season". I would not recommend this company, their communication skills are lacking and they appear to be quite greedy! read more

On both occasions I got multiple bids and each time canzler was cheaper and had a better vibe from the owners. I had a tree removed and two stumps removed on the first job and was way cheaper. The guys gave thought to their approach to trimming our four giant cedars and did an excellent job of cutting those trees and shaping a large camellia we have. It takes time to write a review and this company did such a nice job that I'm taking the time to do so. Tony came out in April 2015 and provided a bid and the work was done for the cost estimated and in the timeframe (2 weeks out) outlined. I was told that my 60 inch diameter stump would be chewed up and ground down to 12-14" below the surface. This is exactly what happened. It was a clean and professional crew. Nov of 2015 I received a quote from Canzler to remove one tall long needle pine from the backyard. Professional, informative and reasonable. Was told to call for an appointment if I went with them. Called and was told it would be about 5 weeks out and it was only a 3-4 hour job that they would sandwich in and Tony would call when they were ready....this was fine with me. Two months went by and no call. Tried to call 2x between 8 and 8:30am - no answer. No return call to say they didn't want the job or see if they could schedule out further - nothing, nada, zip. Still sitting here with the written quote and the same tree in the backyard. After 8 months I am left to assume that if the job is small they are not interested but don't even call to tell you that. read more

We had Canzler take down 6 large maples last year. We couldn't believe how fast, efficient, considerate, and clean they were. There was no question who we'd hire to take down a dozen more. Today they surpassed our expectations again, by doing the job faster, even with tricky trees far out of reach. They are so considerate.
