Prices are always really good here, best in the area, but usually crowded and have to wait. Very busy intersections, I'm not sure I would stop here at night, close to the freeway and is not the greatest looking gas station, safer area though, never been inside or had to deal with an attendant. Asked for gas on pump 4, dude put the gas in pump 1 and someone else took my gas. When I asked for my money back, the guy got aggressive and said "How can I do?! I will be short!!". He said his manager would call me the next day. No one called me, I never got my money back. And I'm still salty about it. read more

This gas station is always so busy! There isn't a an official line for each pump, so sometimes people seemingly cut. For the most part the people are courteous while waiting their turn. The staff is nice. Once he seemed upset. But of all the many times I've been here, the staff has been nice so I think he was just having a bad day. They have a cash price or a card price. I came to pump gas at this station today (2/20/24) around 1:55pm I purchase $80 of gas I gave the teller which happened to be an older male $100 he gave me 4 $5 bills I put that in my pocket. I just now came home is 6:13pm and realize the money he had given me is fake two of the $5 bills are fake and they where torn they just had tape holding them together, I try calling them but the number is not in service. Has had water in it causing engine failure. Been here quite a bit but after refueling 12/6/2022 motor problems. I've contacted both corporate and la county about this issue. Got into an altercation here, the cops got involved, I needed proof of the incident to show the cops what happened and to help catch the suspect who ran. The gas station owner did not want to cooperate by showing his surveillance cameras to me or the cops. If your property gets damaged here, the gas station owner will not help even though they have security cameras. I called the number on the card to check the balance, it was zero, and then waited to speak to a customer service rep. The long lines are to be expected; it has the cheapest price in the city! Why it deserves the low rating is because when I was refusing at pump #6 it has a broken rubber seal, causing some of the gas to flow out from the bottom portion. I had the apply a heavy amount of pressure so that it wouldn't do so. If I ever go back, I'll take a picture as evidence. For now, I'll look elsewhere for the poor maintenance. read more

This review is for Sumir who was on duty tonight 1/23/2022. I came in Around 6:20pm and had asked for 20$ on pump 2. He said okay thank you and I walked to my car. My fiance then pumped all 20 into my tank, as he proceeded to close up the tank and get back into the car Sumier comes out with a 20$ bill claiming i gave him a fake bill and that he was going to call the cops. Obviously I was shocked as I have never had any counterfeit bills as I always get my money from the bank. So I asked for the 20 back and handed him another 20 and asked him to check it in front of me and he did not check it and walked back inside. I sat so confused when suddenly a woman walked up to me asking if he accused me of giving a fake 20$ bill, she said it was hers and that she accidentally gave it to him with out realizing it and felt terrible that he did that to us so she asked for the fake bill back and gave me a real 20 back. This has to be the craziest thing to happen to me. She was a very honest lady to admit that it was hers and that she had gotten it as change from somewhere else. Now for Sumier you know what you did was wrong and I will NEVER come back to this gas station. I will tell all my family and friends never to trust this place. I saw this place does smog checks and I stopped to get information/make an appointment. The guy that I talked to in the shop was condescending, disrespectful and very rude. When I tried talking to him, he would talk over me. Not professional or helpful. I did not get his name, but was the only person there. Went over to fill up my car yesterday and I had an issue with the pump, went inside to notify the cashier a man named Joseph he said he had customers so I went back outside, came back in he had no more customers but told me he could not go outside to help me and if I wanted to keep pumping gas or I could just leave, he yelled at me a couple of times to leave. The best thing about this Arco station is their low gas prices that rival Costco price. This is not a new modern clean station with a AM/PM store however they do sell beverages and snacks. This is old school filling station with 8 pump nozzles. The reason for only 3 stars is not the older building, not that they don't sell hot dogs, rather it is actually their best feature that causes a problem... Because their gas is about 30 cents less per gallon than any other gas station nearby, many people want to buy their gas here and the small limited pump islands with no traffic pattern or directions gets packed with cars waiting to fill up. Some of the patrons are very rude, sometimes sneaking in front of another customer who was waiting for a free pump. Sometimes making risky maneuvers to back into a free nozzle/pump space, and near miss hitting another car or pedestrian. It is common for horns honking and frustrated drivers expressing their feelings with sign language. The last 3 times I bought gas here, at 3 different pumps, including today, when I finally got to a free pump, it was out of order and did not accept pay at the pump, I had to go inside, wait in line to pay in advance. I will keep buying gas here because $5 savings per fill up is worth it, but I prefer going here later in the evening when it is not as crowded and less rude customers fighting for a pump. read more

I went to get gasoline this afternoon. Requested $35 but apparently only received $25, but, the gas pump kept on malfunctioning. I reported this to the cashier who angrily ran out and pushed the button and kept his finger on the button, before the pump finally reset, informing me that I was " a fucking idiot". The man on the other side of the pump told this cashier that this was no way to talk to a customer and was angrily told by the cashier, to mind his own business. Then the cashier informed me to continue to pump gas and come back in to pay for the rest of the gas, which I attempted to do, but he had not set the pump and of course it would not pump any gas. As I returned to the cashier inside the station, he was informing other customers who were also getting gas, that I was a "fucking idiot" right in front of me, and then started screaming at me and he told me to "go back to your own country" in his foreign accent. I was born here and am Caucasian. Pre-emptive strike? Having a bad day? I will of course never return, and given the number of cars getting gas, I will not be missed. It must be very difficult these days to find adequate help given that this person had probably forgotten to take his medication, and he was in my opinion, both insulting, incompetent and a classless individual.
