Atty. Matt Dupuy did my will & trust in 2020. When I received the documents, they were full of errors (e.g., many misspellings of names, including mine and those of my beneficiaries); I corrected them all, but he had also created both a "family trust" and a "realty trust" (which seemed unnecessarily complicated). When I moved house 3 years later, the real estate lawyer discovered a problem with the title to my old house because DuPuy had referred to BOTH of the trusts by multiple names, putting my mortgage approval in jeopardy: this mistake had to be corrected, causing a lot of last-minute stress and panic in an already stressful and exhausting process. Even worse, Dupuy had told me in 2020 that if I needed to make any changes in the future, it would cost between $300 and $800--but when I subsequently wanted to make some small changes to the will & trusts (like correcting the names and replacing my old address with my new one) to make sure it wouldn't have to go thru probate, he said that he had "cut way back due to a family matter" and told me to find another estate-planning lawyer, even though he is not the only lawyer at Ardito and he could've easily asked another lawyer or paralegal there to take care of these small & simple changes. Now I have to start all over again with a new law firm because lawyers like to use their own boilerplate (I totally understand why Shakespeare said, "The first thing we do is, let's kill all the lawyers" in Henry VI, Part II). So it's going to cost me between $3,000 and $6,000 to have a whole new will & trust made! I couldn't be more disgusted with Ardito Law Group--don't go near them under any circumstances! read more
