This organization has great success accomplishing their missions of assisting and fundraising for our Military Men and Women serving in war torn Afghanistan and getting their battle buddies home to their families. These missions are very difficult and the soldiers, airmen, corpsman, seals, marines, etc go to great lengths to keep their furry friends safe in Afghanistan from the brutality that the animals face. These men and women love these animals and look at them as a buddy that cannot be left behind. Please check out Puppy Rescue Mission on Facebook. 300+ Battle Buddies reunited with their soldiers in 2 years. It is truly a Mission of Love. " and the policy is in writing, but if you don't want the dog or if for some reason it don't work out to bring back to shelter , for a exchange or not. well I adopted this 6 month old dog yes he was great with cats kids but so so depressed. I had him 2 months , his health was at risk because he wasn't eating drinking and he just lay around and didn't do anything so sad. I worked with him and worked with him. He wouldn't mingle or bonded with the rest of the family.. so I made a decision out of the kindness of my to hold my eye that he may never come out of the been so some dogs just don't make it out of it so I took him back for his health to the pound. I basically retreated like a criminal because I returned him, which is unfortunate because I did what I was supposed to be doing our very responsible thing . Reading Facebook posts off and there's been several people who took back pets and those people because they know the people there were able to get a pet. I was told that they wouldn't let me have a pet now because I returned a dog that needed help that's disgusting so no they don't deserve one star and my name is Betty Gibbons and I reside in Ada Oklahoma. the dogs name was Rufus .

I've become soft in my old age I suppose, so I was open to getting the kitten on a whim. I'm told it was free to adopt her. The vaccinations were administered at the shelter for free I think as was the spay. When she came home, the stitches appeared to be sloppy as confirmed by the kitten getting an infection on her belly. There was actually an open wound. The receptionist, young lady, who answered the phone we can called to tell them the situation told us that there is no way she can tell us when there will be a doctor/cat surgeon at the shelter, so we'll just have to come up there and hope we get lucky so our pet doesn't die from an infection. When my wife arrived, an older lady was far more sympathetic, apologized for the way we were treated by the younger, rather flippant receptionist. The older, mature and helpful lady fetched a veterinarian who fixed the stitches issue that happened the first time, replacing them with staples. In the end, our kitten healed fine and is the sweetest cat we've ever met.

I took her to Mexico for cleanings but they never wanted to pull her loose teeth. I found this place through google searches and made her an appointment since they are transparent about pricing. One thing that confused me was the receptionist saying I needed to do her pre-surgical blood work and a dental x-ray, and that I should do that before scheduling. I took her to a local vet and the blood work was $100 but I couldn't find anywhere that did just dental x-ray apparently the dog needs to be under anesthesia so there's no point bc they want to do x-ray and cleaning at the same time so they wouldn't do it. I called TCAP so ask if the x-ray was really necessary and a different receptionist said everything is optional so NOT needed. I wish the original receptionist was more clear about that bc all this pre-dental stuff stressed me out and it wasn't needed. Overall, at pipers dental cleaning the staff was very friendly and they sent me home with everything I needed for after care. Also they have very inexpensive vaccines which I will keep in mind. :)

It was crowded workers trying to go so fast, they're getting sloppy and making mistakes. I took my puppy for her 3rd set of shots. The tech was in such a rush she vaccinated my puppy near the ribs close to the tummy. The puppy winced and began to bleed. First of all where the heck are they getting these techs from? and what amount of experience is required? The tech said to return in one year. However at checkout the lady at front desk was going so fast she automatically stamped my paper return "next month" after the tech and I discussed I don't need to return for a year. This is not acceptable. Basically they are going too fast and making mistakes due to the number of pets they're allowing in. If TCAP is committed to serving the community with quality care, they'll need to lower the number of pets they see daily. This way it doesn't seem like a mad house and won't make as many mistakes. Definitely more community involvement needed to get this great service under control.
