They also have the neutering and vaccination clinics at really good prices. I like to visit even when if I can't take one home. The cattery has toys and climbing areas that they can use (one at at time!) and there is a nice fenced area outside where one can exercise and get to know dogs. We are fortunate to have this facility and the staff.

I expressed interest in adopting even though they said very few people had inquired previously. i told them i planned to drive there asap and would stay for several days to complete the process. apparently they do not want "out of town" people adopting their dogs the social media director then decides to do a big feature post on the dog with tons of pictures and i knew immediately it would be adopted. while i am thrilled he will now have a home, they waited until the end of the day and sent me a curt message saying dog was adopted. I then replied and said well gosh thanks for letting me know. i am disappointed in the way this was handled. i got a reply back telling me how happy they were and shaming me for not being thrilled with the outcome. this is definitely not the way an adoption should be handled.

After reviewing options I did not think I could take care of it, so I called wild are and they are there on Sundays so I headed out. Once there I rang the bell for admittance and was met by a very nice lady. She came out and got the carrier and had me fill out some paperwork. She came back and told me it was actually a mole and was an adult. I asked her if I should have left it and she said not tht it was very unusual that it was above ground. She said they would check it over and if all good release it back into the wild. I did not know this place was here. There were 5 or 6 ladies there working on things. I left them a donation since they are a 501 c3 non profit with no public funding at all. Many thanks to the folks working there.

The staff smiled, took him in, mentioned donations, and I donated -- trusting they would actually help him. They promised updates by phone or email. I got nothing. For weeks, no one answered calls. When I finally got through, I was told the bird had been euthanized because he was paralyzed. No call, no notice, no chance to step in. For a place that calls itself a rehabilitation center, deciding paralysis equals death is disturbing. Instead of honesty and care, I got silence, false promises, and attitude when I questioned it. They took my trust, my donation, and the life of the animal I brought to them.
