I was nervous the whole ride there. After all, I'm 55 years old. Even though I encourage my clients to do this kind of thing all the time, doing it myself was another matter. After all the inner work I've done, and continue to do, nothing erases conditioning. Society and culture do little to encourage sensuality, femininity, and passion in women like me. Argentina Levya is a solid two stars. Meh. First, the good: The photo session was fun and lighthearted. I felt very comfortable throughout the shoot and established a good repoir with the photographer. I'll echo some of the prior reviews in that I felt a bit 80's Skinemax (cheap leopard and zebra print blankets, hot pink sheets, etc.). However, this isn't a fair gripe as I had seen photos of the set prior to my session. My boudoir book arrived on-time. The meh: way overpriced. I had a LivingSocial and thought this credit would apply to a book of photos. Granted, I should have asked the particulars before the long process of choosing photos, but a bit of transparency on their part wouldn't have hurt. The studio is also difficult to find; it took me 10 minutes of walking back and forth down the block to figure out where I should be. Keep in mind that I called the AL office repeatedly for a bit of assistance and no one answered. The ugly: Oh. My. God. I have never dealt with such an inept office staff in my life. My credit card was stolen 2 months into my AL payment plan. Once replaced, I called AL and provided the Billing Specialist with an updated card number. No big deal, right? The next month I get a call from AL saying that my credit card was denied and that they're applying a $25 late fee. Hold the phone! I ask the Billing Rep if she was using my updated card. "No," she replies in an oddly giggly voice, "I forgot to save the new card number! I don't know why I didn't save it but I totally remember you!" I ask her to please save the updated card and to waive the $25 fee, to which she agrees. Skip to the following month. SAME PHONE CONVERSATION WITH THE SAME WOMAN. I am becoming irritated and tell her to save the $%!# card! She agrees and apologizes. Two months later: repeat. Oh my god. I told her that if I receive one more call from them I am not paying the balance. This is ineptitude. And finally, today. I receive a joyous call last night from Argentina herself. She says that my credit card was denied and she's not sure what the deal is. I have one more payment and she wants me to call her immediately. They have also applied a $25 late fee. I have not yet brought myself to respond to this call. I am working myself into a little ball of fire. On another note, I felt a bit too airbrushed in the end product. I look and feel great and don't want my images to look kitchy and fake. I also felt pressured to purchase a book while reviewing my photos. Again, I easily could have refused, so no biggee, but be aware: the pressure is there. Would I recommend this business to friends? Pre-Billing Fiasco: Probably, with the caveat that it's very expensive. Post-Billing Fiasco: No. Way. In. Hell. They have left me a forever frustrated one-time customer. read more

I bought a living social for this experience, and overall it a was a big waste of time and money. It seems like a good deal, but it only comes with ONE 8x10 photo and everything else is super expensive. Like $80 for one print, and you are talking at least $500 for a CD of your pics if you want to print them, and lots more money for albums. I thought the make up & hair lady (Jennifer I think) was great and I really liked the photographer - the really awful woman was Jennifer Ellen I believe. She was the "production" or whatever, and is the person you have to go through to buy your pictures. She's super high pressure sales and when I said I couldn't afford to pay hundreds of dollars, she made a snarky comment about how that decision was "between you and your family that's not my decision" making me feel bad I didn't buy. She was also super bossy to the other folks that worked there. 5 minutes in her presence made me wish I was listening to nails on a chalkboard instead (a little dramatic, but she really was terrible). Pictures: Were just okay - not great. The backgrounds are trashy looking (leopard print? really?) and the photographer is just okay. I have mixed thoughts about my experience. I absolutely loved the photo shoot! The all female crew were very friendly and accomodating while helping me pick the perfect outfit/ jewelry combinations. The makeup/hair artist was great and Argentina (photographer) made me feel like a model! The only thing missing was the big fan to whisp my hair around for the photos. I truly enjoyed this part of the whole experience. After the photo shoot, you have the opportunity to review your photos and determine if you want to buy a few select photos, the CD of all your photos, a keepsake album packaged with your favorates or any combination of these. The proces range from $80 for one photo to $800+ for the albums. This part of the day is a bit overwhelming but outside of the sheer time constraint (the next young lady eagerly waiting to see her photos), there was no pressure to buy anything. It was after I left the studio that my issues arrose. I received my album after NOT receiving it on time for Christmas as promised. Yes, unfortunately i was left empty handed on Christmas morning. I was not informed that it would be late until 12/23 which left me no time to find a replacement present.....Although the photos were done very nicely, I found an issue with the album that is rather disappointing and did NOT receive my CD at all. I'm hoping to receive a response from "someone" to address my concern. I'll revise my review appropriately.... 1/24/2012 - After going round and round with the production manager, I finally engaged Argentina for support. I found the production manager to be slow to respond..(days). Argentina was sympathetic and assured me that my issues would be resolved......Although, I was told over two weeks ago that my "upgraded" CD and corrected photo would be mailed, still nothing. LADIES! LADIES! LADIES! Do yourself a HUGE favor and get your fine self into see Argentina Leyva. I found out about Argentina Leyva through a Living Social deal, and I was not sure what to expect. I booked a Boudoir session as gift to my husband. We are recently married and I thought this would be a great way to surprise him. For those of you that are not familiar, a Boudoir shoot involves you wearing some lingerie, your significant others work shirt or some other sexy outfit that makes you feel beautiful. Argentina works her magic and helps you pose in ways that will make you look like a sex kitten (: So let me walk you through the experience. First, the space that Argentina uses to photograph is great. It is like walking into your best girlfriends loft that you have know forever. Very girly, but not in a over the top, everything is pink kind of way. I was introduced to the makeup and hair artist that would be styling me for my shoot. Very great girls. I had a lot of fun with them. They helped you decide what order you will wear each outfit ( Argentina recommends bringing 2-3 outfits) and then they talk to you about what hair style you are looking for and what type of make up you envision. OH! This whole time you are sipping a glass of wine, to calm your nerves when you start thinking " What am I getting myself into...." Once you are all dolled up, you go back into a room that has a day bed with all sorts of fabrics and pillows that help set the tone for the shoot. It is slightly intimidating at first, but once you get into it, it becomes a lot of fun. Also, the time just flies by! Once your photography session is complete, Argentina goes through each shot with you to help narrow down what images you would like to have printed. I walked in thinking I just wanted one single print, and ended up ordering a 5 by 5 album with 10 images. Argentina has an incredible eye and helps guide you through which shots she thinks are your best. She also listens to your input and what you are looking for. Well, I could not wait to see the final product. Argentina was very good in communicating with me as to when I should be receiving my album. I was so excited I gave my husband the gift one day early and he was BLOWN AWAY ( as was I). Argentina knows her stuff (: LADIES - Do not feel like you need to do this for a man in your life. Just rec'd my photos in the mail yesterday (just 2 weeks after my photo session)...and they are AWESOME! Arriving at their downtown studio with "outfits" in my garment bag, I felt excited and anxious...but Argentina immediately made me feel welcomed, relaxed and honestly...I left there feeling like a model. Her artist did a fabulous job on the hair and make-up, which helped the photos. You get instant gratification b/c she shows you the photos (prior to touch-ups) right away after your session. The lighting, the decor...it all makes you feel so sexy. Get creative, bring something fun your boyfriend or husband loves that is playful. I had always been tempted to try a boudoir photo shoot, and I had seen Argentina Leyva's feature on Groupon before, so I finally decided to treat myself and purchase a certificate for a 3 hr shoot + hair & make-up...and it was FANTASTIC! First, I was thrilled to hear I would have Argentina herself shooting me, and second, I'm by no means a "girlie-girl" and this was the ultimate femme-treatment! Her talents as a photographer not only captures the essence of beauty but also makes you feel and look fabulous. Her techniques include using a light box which is new to create a special unique effect that make the photo light up with a unique type of style. I first did a couples shoot at Argentina's old studio in December 2011 when I'd bought a LivingSocial deal and it was about to expire! Haha. At that time, I believe the business was pretty new, and they were still ironing out the kinks -- for example, organization with customer service phone calls (which yes was bad at the time but has improved significantly) or the fact that the studio was tiny and cramped. However, once they moved to the new location (which is super-accessible from the suburbs, btw), they started having open houses. I attended one and landed myself a door prize -- a free session with Argentina herself, whom I'd never met until this point. A lot has changed in the last couple years, with customer service moving to the forefront, and Argentina is really transparent with what she seeks to provide us: a unique experience that celebrates us, while at the same time growing her art form. The new studio is huge, clean, and Argentina is lovely. She is friendly and accommodating (I can't express in a short review how patient she was with me during my shoot!) and I loved that she was willing to play around and work with me. I felt very welcome and very comfortable in during my shoot (which I had just yesterday). Their primary makeup artist, Jennifer, is also amazing. She did my looks for the couples shoot (which I recommend any couple to do -- it's a very intimate and unique experience for you and your sig. other) as well as yesterday and I was a big fan. She's quite friendly as well and helps you get comfortable as you settle in to your session. I really enjoyed talking with her, and what's awesome is she is well-versed in doing makeup across a diverse set of ethnicities (I don't think you can say that about all makeup artists). In terms of pricing, what I think a lot of people struggle with is knowing that boudoir photography is an investment. If the prices surprise you, I learned that Argentina actually has a couple more affordable options for the girl on a budget: There is the "Simply Boudoir" program for only $150 where you work with one of her associate photographers. There is also a more bare-bones session with Argentina for $195 I believe. I've done a lot of research in the boudoir photography industry and their pricing is very, very reasonable for what you get: makeup and hair, the shooting and expertise, retouching, CD with all the rights and your prints, and whatever album/print you choose. Argentina works very hard to meet your needs, including for me (money is a little tight right now) yesterday. She allows payment plans with no interest which I think a lot of us could benefit from. Oh yeah, and I think it goes without saying that I love the photos from both sessions! The photographer and make up artist were nice, professional and helpful. I highly recommend the make up artist/hair stylist. I had "won" a photo shoot and a supposed discount of $1000 + $300 towards my pictures. At least that what I was told. In excitement you review your photos and begin to eliminate the poses you don't want. All the while never told the cost for the pictures. Once you are emotionally engaged boom your hit with the cost. The cost for 10 pics is over $4K and for 10 pics is over $7K. Oh and by the way 1 picture can cost over $500. Once you sign the contract whether you agree or not to buy the pics or not your locked in and can not get out of the contract. Yes, the cost in the thousands for 10-20 pictures. While it was a good experience, they were not very forth coming in the beginning as far as cost is concerned. Nor did they disclose any costs upfront before going through the actual photo shoot. At the end of the shoot, the statement is made "Lets talk about your investment in yourself." So, I won a free photo shoot and then I had to pay thousands. Hmmmmmmm... If you are going to do this be sure you have that kind of money in hand because it is really not a win but a HUGE Loss. read more

Argentinia was AMAZING!!! I absolutely loved my photo shoot and plan on doing it again!

I was going to refrain from reviewing this place because I had such a mixed opinion on it, but as I am currently working on putting my photos together and am revisiting some of the things that I was disappointed in, I wanted to assist others who are contemplating using this studio. There are some good things though. I would rate this between a 2 and a 3. I vacillated between the 2 in rating, and settled on 3. It's OK. First, I had the LivingSocial deal. This paid for the sitting fee, one airbrushed print, and professional hair and makeup. As some of you probably know, the sitting fee is just one of MANY fees you pay for professional photography, so if you want prints, or the disk of the pictures, the cost goes up substantially. I think the price of the living social deal was fair. I requested a mani-pedi for my session. This part was fine, and the girl who did the mani-pedi (Athena) was very nice and friendly. The color selection was limited to only a few colors, but I was happy with the pink color I picked out and Athena was really nice and attentive to me. The hair and makeup was done by a girl named Jennifer. She was also super nice, and did a great job with my hair and makeup, and offered me diet coke, etc. Fake eyelashes cost extra, but I think they are worth it. The photography session itself. Fun, and hard, and extremely nerve-wracking if you are the shy type, but overall fun. For my money, however, I felt this was one of the more mediocre aspects of my experience. The photographer I had (not Argentina) was in a rush and ran out the door as soon as she was done with me. I found out later they had somehow overbooked or double-booked, as another girl and I were stuck waiting around for an hour ++, which generally I was fine with, besides being rushed through my shoot. The photographer did not allow me to change panties from a particular shoot for my fiance, so I have about 20-30 pictures with panties I did not want to be photographed exclusively. She kept saying, oh it's fine, it's fine. (but they look AWFUL) She also didn't let me rearrange the jewelry (which Athena was nice enough to let me borrow) so I have quite a few pictures with a backwards bracelet, etc., which is frustrating, but I can live with. I'm really just frustrated with the entire set of pics with underwear I kept trying to change out of! Not sexy at all....can't even imagine giving those pics as a gift to my fiance. The set backgrounds. I read the reviews before going in, so I should have known better. But yes, cheesy leopard print, zebra print, skinemax feel. I guess for the purpose, it's overall fine, but I would have preferred a simple white background even! It's not exactly a classy feeling. The business side of things. First of all, the argentina levya email doesn't work, or it wasn't when I was trying to schedule. Jen Ellen had to use her bridal loft email to communicate, after we exchanged voicemails and I told her I had emailed the argentina levya email address. I got a call from her that they could squeeze me in on a Sunday morning, so I took the chance, because they already told me it was hard to get an appointment. They had apparently overbooked the day and at all times, I, or one other girl, were sitting around doing nothing. Jen Ellen explained to us that we could pay in installments however we wanted. However, when it came time to pay, she had mine in I believe 3 payments of about $200/each. (I apologize, I forget the specific amounts). I asked if it could be extended--she gave me a 6 month payment plan. Which is doable, but I would have liked a smaller per month payment plan, given that I am getting married and have a wedding to pay for. Please, if it's a 6 month max payment plan, don't say you can do a payment plan for as long a period as you want. Sidenote on professionalism. There was a girl in the studio wearing what seemed to be pajamas and was barefoot when I was there. Does she live there? She works there. She handles the billing. She took a shower in the bathroom that we changed in, and left her dirty clothes on the floor. The employees were baking and eating snacks the entire time I was there, (which is random), but it was not offered to the patrons. We were offered from an array of random snacks, which is very nice and thoughtful, because it is a long day. But again, random business. Finally, the pictures. I ordered the disk so I could pick my own out at my own time and pace. I paid over $500 for this disk. I received a burnt cd that was handwritten with my name on it. I paid over $500 for a burnt cd??? Overall, I left the place with a very meh taste in my mouth. Not good, not bad. Some parts were great--overall the girls who work there are super nice and interesting, and I enjoyed talking to them, and enjoyed talking to the other girls who were being photographed. Mixed feelings and left with a REALLY bad taste in the end. I will tell you what happened to me so you can decide whether you want to use the service or not. Pictures on May 7th - Started very positive... the other critiques are true about feeling very comfortable initially and feeling sexy but I left unsatisfied cause I felt rushed out without knowing my time had ended (it must of been a busy day). I also was startled by the additional costs as that wasn't really presented to me up front. I found this from a living social deal and I guess I wasn't expecting to spend $700 dollars for some photos. I went with the CD for $500 dollars and then figured I could edit them and make my own album on shutterfly. I went ahead and emailed them about some of the things I was feeling more so for future customers and the company response was positive in that they offered me an additional hour to come in for last shots although they wouldn't come down on cost... I thought it was fair. Anyway, I had a Retake on May 21st after harassing them that I needed to have all my pictures sooner rather than later since it is a gift. I was informed that I would receive my CD in 3 weeks (which would mean June 11th) June 11th - No call or email on the status of my pictures. June 15th - I email them inquiring. No communication from them until June 30th where my CD number arrives June 30/July 1: I am emailed with a tracking number and I receive an INCOMPLETE CD of my pictures. July 2nd - I write a letter requesting ALL of my pictures July 5th - In the late afternoon, I RESEND my letter requesting someone contact me as soon as possible (I realize its a holiday weekend but this is something that should have been responded to right away) July 5th I receive an email by the photographer herself letting me know another CD will be mailed out today but they will just be on a regular CD. July 11th - still no CD although they said they were sent. I contact them and they said the CD should come any day. July 12th - I email asking if I can simply pick them up at their downtown location. July 15th - I personally pick up the CD and FINALLY have all of my pictures (and just to note, I NEVER received the CD in the mail, so either someone has very personal pictures of me or it was never sent... I believe the latter). The process took 2 months in total from when I first went in to when I got my pictures. This seems a bit ridiculous when they said 3 weeks. Believe it or not I am not a complainer. I have only written a complaint email 2x in my life and enjoy endorsing companies and good experiences. Notes if you are going to go with them after reading this: Make sure you remember your pictures. They said this never happened before but I wonder if it ever did. Make sure you are fully aware of pricing. If you are comfortable with the prices of albums and negative rights than they have a good set up and your pics will come out nice. You have to be the one constantly communicating with them because they won't be communicating with you.... EXCEPT I did recently get a mass email letter soliciting more sales. NO WAY I would personally recommend them. Exhausted thinking about this but glad to get it off my chest. Very unhappy customer and just hope my husband thinks it worth it. read more

OK. Have you ever wanted to feel like a BOMBSHELL?? A victoria's secret model?? well, then you NEED to do this. I heard of this place through living social and let me tell you, WORTH EVERY PENNY. First of all, the experience is fun. All the girls there are super sweet and make you feel comfortable. The makeup/hair girl was amazing and she make me look and feel sooo hot. I recommend bringing 3-4 outfits, and the girls will help you choose the top 3. dont forget shoes and accessories!! As for Argentina, she's got such a great eye for the poses....some of them will feel super awkward and you will think to yourself "there's no way this looks good"....and miraculously, when you look at your pictures, you are amazed at how much of a bombshell you are. Granted, if you choose to get an album (recommended), it is an investment (think 500-1000 dollars depending on the album), BUT they will work a payment plan out with you. And honestly, if you're spending 4 hours getting a photoshoot, do you really want to leave with just one photo?? i didn't think so. All in all, i highly recommend argentina and her entire staff....you will not regret this purchase (and when you look back at yourself when you're 80, you will be happy you captured a time you looked super sexy) read more

I would give Argentina 0 stars if I could. I originally signed up for the Simply Boudoir photography session via Groupon. I liked Argentina's motto of female empowerment and self confidence; it really spoke to me. I emailed twice, I called, no answer. I did some research and found that Argentina also had the Art of Seduction business. I subscribed to her email list and, to my pleasant surprise, won a free Art of Seduction photography session. I was immediately told to fill out an application and schedule a time for Argentina to call me. I thought, "Great, finally, I'll get to schedule my session!" She called, was very friendly, and wanted to get to know more about my personally. I told her all about my self image issues. This was a horrible, horrible mistake on my part for being too trusting. I also told her that I had bought the Simply Boudoir session on Groupon. She sort of waved that last part aside, saying something about how she no longer does the Simply Boudoir sessions but that Groupon still has it up on their site. Uh...okay...so lots of other women are buying boudoir packages that never get fulfilled? Not a great business model. Get that taken care of, Argentina. She started talking about what I would get with the free session - basically everything except my images, which would be $3,000 for an album minus what I paid for the Groupon. Um, sorry, I told her, I signed up for the Simply Boudoir session because it was cheaper and I'm not at a place in my life where I can really spend that kind of cash on pictures. I'm already paying for a wedding and honeymoon. It's not in my budget. And then she did a really shitty sales pitch and dug into my self-image and insecurity issues, saying it would be SO empowering to have these photos for the rest of my life and to have that confidence because I have these images, etc. She told me to just leave the issue of money aside for a minute and really went on and on about my body image issues. Wow. Nothing to bring you up quite like someone digging into the most vulnerable parts of yourself TO GET MONEY. Holy shit woman, have some dignity. She went on about this for quite some time. At one point I told her I felt uncomfortable - that really didn't seem to faze her, though. I repeated that I could not leave money aside because it's just not in my budget. At that point she told me I could get a refund, abruptly ended the conversation, and hung up. I will be getting my refund, I will be complaining to Groupon, and I will be reviewing wherever I can. In mid July, she said she had a workshop on that day and can no longer do our shoot but unfortunately the other dates she offered I cannot attend. I asked for my deposit back since we had to cancel due to her workshop. After I asked for it back, she stopped replying to emails and left my facebook messages on "seen" without a reply. Instead of trying to reach a common ground, she has ignored me ever since I asked for my $500 deposit back since she had to cancel. I shouldn't be out $500 because SHE had to cancel. I had an amazing experience!! I bought a boudoir shoot on groupon ( 3 hr shoot + hair & makeup) for my fiance as a wedding gift. I went in very nervous, because I normally don't feel that I do sexy well. But Tracy (my photographer) and Jennifer (my makeup artist) made me look and feel like I was the newest Victoria's Secret Angel!!!! I was able to wear three different outfits during my shoot and they had many different rooms and different backdrops to work with. One includes a beautiful white bed that looked very romantic and sexy in my photos. After my shoot, I was met by a different Jen in the sales department. She was very straight forward and honest about my shoot and not pushy about purchasing any albums. I even asked her if she thought I needed any touch-ups on my photos (which could have been an easy upgrade sale for her) and she said no. After I saw an album example on the coffee table (Argentina Leyva made for her husband) and how gorgeous my pictures were, I knew I wanted the exact same thing. My album arrived about 4 weeks later and was absolutely perfect!! My husband loved it and I think was shocked at how well I can actually clean up! After doing this shoot, I feel so sexy inside. I bought a Living Social deal for this place a while back and realized it was going to expire in a couple of months. I gave them a call and they were able to fit me in this past weekend. I made the mistake of reading the 2 negative reviews on Yelp before my appointment and it made me really nervous. I was worried about money and I didn't want to feel pressured into buying anything. First off, these negative reviews are ridiculous! I didn't feel pressure to buy anything, I actually wanted to buy the CD album with all of the images on them. I also opted for the interest free financing. Everyone there makes you feel really comfortable and are very nice. They offer you water, coffee, tea, snacks, etc. All the girls are pretty entertaining and make you feel right at home. Here are some tips: -Eat something before you go for your appointment. I was starving by the time I looked at my pictures. You're going to be at this place for approx. 3-4 hours and you can't really eat anything while you're getting your makeup done or while you're doing the photoshoot. -Bring wine or champagne to help with the nerves -bring 3-4 outfits with shoes, preferably sexy stilettos. They have jewelry there, but if you want to wear something special, bring it. -I'm a little sore from holding all those poses during the shoot. Limber up before you go:) I've never felt so sexy and after you look at the photos you think to yourself, "do I really look that good?" You won't regret doing the shoot and I can't wait to get my print and CD in the mail! read more

I am so happy I finally did this photo shoot. It was something I've been wanting to do for a long time & it was worth every penny. I booked it a few months in advance so that I could do it on my birthday as a bday gift to myself and also to give the album to my Hubby for an anniversary/Xmas present. I bought the Groupon for the photo shoot but then upgraded to Full Secret Diva to get the full experience. This was more pricey but well worth it because I consider this experience to be an investment, something I will only do once and cherish forever. My package included 4 outfit changes, 2 makeup, & 2 hair changes. A professional makeup artist & hair stylist, Jaycie Kurfess, did such a good job. I showed her a picture of the 2 looks I was going for & she nailed it! I wish I had known this crew (makeup artist & Argentina) for my wedding day! Argentina's studio space where I took my photos at was awesome. The large space provided a selection of excellent backdrops for pictures. It allowed Argentina to photograph from awesome angles with great lighting & freedom for lots of professional photographic creativity. I felt so comfortable throughout the photo shoot. I have never done a photo shoot before & Argentina directed me in every pose. She knows her stuff! There were times when she would tell me to look or pose a certain way & I'd think to myself, "I don't know about this," but after viewing my photos I was blown away. The photos were amazing! They turned out more beautiful and artistic than I could have ever imagined! Argentina's team made me look & feel like a Victoria's Secret model and that made me feel pretty damn good about myself! It also made me understand how real-life models are normal people like us, they just have a great photographer, lighting, makeup artist, hair stylist, who are all professionals at making women look amazing, just like Argentina's team. I have read some reviews abut how the office team did not handle things well, but I did not experience any such problems. My several emails were always answered quickly. Argentina's team who prepared my photo album were very compliant to my many requests to make changes to my album layout. My experience went very well thanks to the aforementioned reasons and also because I prepared properly for the photo shoot. This is why I recommend that ladies fully read all material sent to you & make sure to have all of your outfits prepared and test-run them at home. Get yourself ready for this model-for-a-day experience how you would for a wedding day, because the photos are so good you will fully appreciate looking your best in them. I just received my album a few days ago & it turned out beautiful! I was worried that the crease in the middle of the book would ruin the full image of some pictures but the album is very well made & all of the pictures lay flat nicely. My husband loves that I did this for him & it is an experience I will cherish forever. I've shown a couple of close friends the album & their reaction is the same as mine, amazed & impressed by how beautiful the pictures look. Argentina's boudoir photo shoot went so well I can easily say it made for my best birthday ever! I purchased the Living Social deal for a boudoir photo shoot because I thought it would be a great 2nd anniversary gift for my boyfriend. At first I thought I would surprise him with the photos, but then I thought he'd get a bigger kick out of being there. As the date of the appointment approached I was getting more and more nervous, in fact I was so close to chickening out that on the way to the photo shoot I had the phone in my hand and I was about to call to cancel. My boyfriend calmed me down and we went into the studio. We were greeted by Athena who helped me unpack my outfits and choose which would be best for the shoot. I was immediately put at ease in the very homey studio. Athena polished my nails and Jennifer did a wonderful job on my hair and makeup. She did a couple of head shots for me about a year or so later, but when she started doing boudoir, I totally fell in love with those images too! The all-female staff were fun and friendly and I felt completely comfortable with the whole process. Easily the best thing I've done for myself in years. I decided to do the photo shoot as a personal treat to celebrate turning 40 this year. It was such a great experience, I wish I had done it years ago. I was a little nervous walking in feeling a bit old to be sitting for this type of photography. But everyone there was so professional and made me feel so comfortable that I just couldn't contain how much fun I was having. When the shoot concluded and I got a chance to preview the raw photos, I couldn't believe I was looking at pictures of myself - the photos were so lovely and I was stunned that I could ever look that sexy and beautiful. They have their system down to an exact science resulting in photos that far exceeded my expectations. Certainly, their prices are quite high. However, they were very up front with their pricing - with no hidden costs. I felt zero pressure to purchase products or photo packages. Rather, I was given as much time as I needed to review all the raw photos, and all of my questions regarding prices and upgrade charges were answered right up front. And once I saw how gorgeous the photos were, I knew the high cost would be an investment well spent. The studio recognizes that the purchase of the photos is an investment, and as such, offers a no-interest installment plan to help everyone who wants purchase photos to do so. The only thing I would have wanted was some fun music playing during the photo shoot to help get into the mood to strike a pose. Some of the poses were uncomfortable and a bit difficult to hold (although every pose looked amazing in print) and some fun music might have set the mood to strike a pose. Overall, a great experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. I plan on making it a birthday tradition every 5 to 10 years. read more

If you were ever thinking of doing a boudoir shoot...PLEASE DO IT! I knew that this was something that I wanted to do for my future husband so I looked into it. I logged onto the Art of Seduction website through a Yelp search and found it. I saw that there was a chance to win a monthly giveaway, so I entered and won! I contacted Argentina and had a wonderful conversation with her that put my mind at ease and I scheduled my date! When I arrived, I was asked to put on a robe and whisked away to have my makeup done by Isabella and she was BOMB.COM). She was really easy to talk to and really wanted to make sure that you were happy with your final look. Argentina was then ready for me and she made me feel comfortable. As a side note, I a small woman and sometimes have issues with the appearance of my body and I did not feel inhibited here. Argentina makes you feel and look wonderful and I had a wonderful experience and would definitely do it again!! It was a very classy experience.
