I've been a patient for a few years and today I'm seeing a new dentist, but I feel like I'm having a hard sell rather than a dental checkup. Try keep recommending that I remove my old crowns and replace them even though they are not bothering me, not loose and in perfect condition. He told me to just be careful. I take a lot of pride in my dental care and my teeth so it's not like I have a mouth in disrepair. I'm here for a cleaning but they've had me waiting an hit while they try and verify how my insurance will cover the items that they are suggesting. Frankly I'm not interested. I have just started my dental treatment and can't be more happier I found this place. They are so accomodating, Abby at the front desk is so helpful and willing to answer my hundreds of questions. I hadn't been to the dentist in a long while and was terrified to go, but not anymore. Dr Arguello is the best, he made me feel at ease and made a very scary situation better. Was a new patient at Arguello Dentistry this morning. Overall it was a pleasant experience, and I am choosing to go return there to complete my treatment plan. My appointment was for 11:00 am, I arrived at 11:10 and went back by 11:40. I think the hygienist's name was Carl; he wasn't super friendly but was pleasant enough and quietly worked away at x-raying and cleaning my teeth for me. Shortly afterwards Dr. Arguello came by and went over the x-rays with me. My first impression of him was that he was friendly, very kind, and knowledgeable. He explained to me what needed to be done and answered all my questions without seeming like he was in a big hurry to run off somewhere else. I'm no dentist, but I respected his opinion of what needed to be done with my teeth. I recently went elsewhere and the dentist was grossly trying to up-sell me into additional procedures that I did not need, and Dr. Arguello even took a look at that other dentist's treatment plan and explained to me where his opinion differed. I found that very honest and helpful, as he could have easily said that he agreed and tried to add on more fillings or a root canal to my treatment plan like that other dentist did, but he did not. I will be needing to go back to this office 4 or 5 times within the next several months to complete my treatment plan, and I will update my review if my opinion of this office changes. read more

OPEN SATURDAY BRROUGHT ME HERE!!! The visit was amazing! Doc was very knowledgeable. Headed back for this root canal. IT'S KILLIN' ME!!! -Update: They really need to step up their customer service and dentistry skills. No reason in HELL for a temp crown to first infect and swole my gum, but then for them not able to glue it in properly. The dentist himself was decent. However, there really need to step up their hiring process. Glad luck to all that choose this place and hope your root canal goes WAAAAYYYYY better then mine! ~Another Update: I had to return because I want metal braces from another dentist. However, to do so, I was advised it's in my best interest to finish my permanent crown. So I returned on June 24th and the serivce was PHENOMENAL! I have always been terribly afraid of the dentist since I was a child. I actually hadn't gone in years to see a dentist. I came across his website and read the reviews and they all sounded too good to be true, so I gave it a try. I had a horrible wisdom tooth that was causing me intense pain, and Dr Arguello was able to see me right away. He explain everything with such detail even after I kept asking a million of questions. He really took his time to make sure I was completely numb before beginning. I didn't feel a single thing for one of them and the other tooth was a bit tougher but still bearable. I am very glad I chose this place. Very, very clean and calming office. His whole staff was very nice and professional. Dr Arguello restored my faith in dentists!! This office is very dishonest. Patient was told he had periodontal disease , and they didn't even do a screening for periodontal disease. Received a 10 minute prophylaxis (cleaning) when he refused deep cleaning. Office staff unhelpful and rude. I highly recommend a second opinion before agreeing to any treatment. read more

I had an appointment today for 4 fillings and when I saw the needle they were going to use to numb my mouth I really thought I was going to die there was no way lol but the dentist was very funny and had a great sense of humor. I saw this dentist over a year ago, i bit on something and a piece of my tooth broke. I kept telling him can he fill it, and he kept saying no it will come loose again. You need a crown and the amount was a lot for someone on disability. I was very disappointed going home, with a hole that he couldn't or wouldn't fix. Went to another dentist, and didn't tell him about my experience with this dentist. The other dentist filled my tooth, and it is still there till now that was over a year ago...Sometimes i feel that when they could do something simple, they try to get you to do something that would benefit them financially. read more

Worst doctor ever I came in there for fillings I left with pain in my mouth came back a few weeks later and he said the X-rays don't show anything I told him I feel pain in my tooth when I chew he stated there's nothing there he was all nervous cause I snapped on him he knows he didn't do his job right . I went somewhere else for a second option turns out he did a half way filling and he left a hole in my tooth worst dentist ever and I still have a cavity in that tooth that he so called worked on.. he doesn't even know what he is doing he even cursed when he was doing my procedure... worst dentist ever I'll be a shame as a dentist if I was him he has no idea what he is doing... don't be stupid enough in going to his practice.... read more

Dr. Arguello is a beast! I walked in with massive pain and walked out with hope. People don't realize how much your teeth affect your overall health. We work so hard to buy "stuff" but if we don't have our health, what is the point? Office atmosphere: upbeat & friendly. (I mean come on...they have Netflix in every room!) I received a phone call from the dentist office today that the day I made my appointment the dentist will not be in the office he is at a seminar which allowed me to make my final decision as I told the receptionist that I would reschedule at a later date. It's not that I don't want to have a regular dentist it's not that I don't want to take care of my teeth I do I just kind of felt pushed into the whole hundred dollars including x-rays my initial office visit and two cleanings for the year I still feel that there has to be some other charges besides that hundred dollars there is no way this company can stay in business offering you your first visit x-rays and two cleanings for the year for the small price of $100 if that's really true it's a fantastic deal. I just personally didn't want to be tied into two cleanings during the year which I guess is every six months even though I know that needs to be done I guess I'm just commitment-phobic. All I really wanted to do was have two molars removed which I still have in my head and I guess I have to decide if I am going to reschedule at a later date or just look around for a different dentist to pull these two teeth out and not have to go through this whole gigantic process having to be obligated or having a particular dentist I kind of enjoy going to different doctors especially since I don't have insurance so to me it doesn't matter I'm going to pay through the nose anyway. And as I said if that $100 deal is really true it is a great savings I didn't ask how much cleanings were I did ask what the cost of a deep cleaning was which I found affordable but right now everything is on hold until I decide what I'm going to do or where I'm going to go to have these two last molars removed or capped whatever needs to be done it's going to be done and I look at it this way I'll have two teeth to put under my pillow for the Tooth Fairy when it's all said and done. read more

On the day of my appointment for tooth extraction I was told the dentist only prescribes Motrin for pain, nothing stronger. Are they crazy? You're pulling a tooth and you think Motrin will be enough. Plus it took me calling the office to find out that the insurance company denied the procedure, they tried to get the most expensive procedure approved.
