From the start, Zach and Ava met with us several times to talk through what we wanted captured and to review the timeline. They were always easy to reach by phone or text and quickly to reply if we had questions. We had a unique venue and worried a bit about how it would look in photos. It was not a problem at all. Even though Zach and Ava had never shot there before, they were comfortable and creative, and the photos came out beautifully. On the wedding day, Zach and Ava were more than photographers. When another vendor asked us to change timing, they stepped in to make sure we were comfortable before making any adjustments. They kept the day on track and made it feel like we had someone by our side the whole time, even without a coordinator. Neither my husband nor I are people who spend much time in front of a camera. We told them that upfront, and they made the process so easy. They gave us direction when we needed it and also captured plenty of natural candids. The mix gave us a set of photos that feel real and timeless. Our only small critique is that a few of the posed family photos after the ceremony could have been arranged a little more neatly. That part of the day is always hectic, and while the photos are still special, we would have liked them a bit more formal. This was a very minor detail compared to everything else though. Good pictures start from being at ease and Carrie will definitely put you at ease. Even from the first consultation, she makes you feel like you are the only client and the only one that matters. Her pictures are amazing and every now and then she'll say "Let me try something" - those will be the best pictures. One thing I was not expecting was for her to help me draw up a timeline for the day. I didn't have a wedding planner and kind of cobbled it all together myself. Carrie, based on all her experience, advised me on getting hair and makeup done earlier (she was right), having the flowers delivered earlier (she was right again - especially since the delivery was running late), and leaving earlier to get to the church. As she said, no bride has ever complained about being too early. I wasn't too early at any stage and her timeline actually prevented me from being late and stressed out.
