Let's start positive; really, really lovely food and I will definitely order from them again. Huge amount of sushi, nicely presented, think they even used proper wasabi rather then dyed horseradish (couldn't confirm though). Good combinations of ingredients too (spider crab!) and although we were eating from a set menu, the takeout menu looks really interesting.
Partner's Tom yum soup very authentic good balance of sweet, salt, heat and sour. Can't knock the food at all.
Ok, here are the areas they really need to work on to make this place really come alive.
Obviously something was happening with service when we went, not sure what. Looks like a difficulty in restaurant orders vs takeaway orders. I'm sure this can be resolved pretty easily.
From a customer's perspective there were too many staff attending to different tables. I'm normally accustomed to one waitress manning our table throughout taking orders, serving, clearing and giving the bill. We had all the waitresses in different combinations throughout the evening. Confusing.
In general it just needs to be a bit tighter, sort out the staffing roles, reprint the menus with the corrections currently made in pen and maybe switch on those lovely Edison lights rather than the spotlights?
All this aside, I'm really behind this place and want it to thrive! Enfield needs you arigato! read more
