It started with a lovely phone call for us to get to know each other and for Liz to get to know what our goal was for the photos. In our case the studio session was the right call. Our little one had some minor issues that left our hospital discharge date in limbo but Liz was so kind and accommodating in working with us to find the best day. It was a relief because it allowed my husband to join and worked around his crazy schedule. The studio is warm and welcoming. Liz is such an easy and gentle person and it was such a pleasure to chat with her during the session. Being a nurse and having little ones herself made me feel extra safe handing over my two week old for a couple of hours. She was really receptive to our wants for the photos. They turned out absolutely adorable! I squealed when I got the final images. We got some family shots, some cutesy shots, and some detail shots as well. She even shuttled us around the venue grounds in air conditioning to avoid the wet grounds after the rain as well as the oppressive humidity. Winnie is the kind of artful photographer that bends her creativity and works flexibly with whatever variables she is given to not only get the job done right, but get it done MASTERFULLY. Putting your trust in her is the best thing you can do- all she needs you to do is pose and smile where and how she tells you to. She was also amazing in directing our friends and family in what to do in the photos as they were hot messes in the humidity and excitement of the day! When we opened our sneak peeks the morning after (!!!), we teared up and kept borderline-screaming about how incredible our photos came out. I am not exaggerating when I say many looked like we could be on the front of a bridal magazine. Winnie combined perfect lighting, gorgeous backdrops, artful framing, and intentional directing of us to create the most stunning photos of us that we will cherish forever.
