This has been one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences my daughter and I have ever had while planning her wedding. We had no contact from anyone for months -- since August or September -- and only recently learned from Laura that she is no longer the correct point of contact. No one updated this information or informed us of the change. To make matters worse, my account was accidentally charged $2,413, and instead of receiving an apology or any accountability, I was sent a message explaining their payment policy. Not once did anyone acknowledge the mistake or the inconvenience it caused. The lack of communication and basic customer care is unacceptable. This was supposed to be a memorable and exciting experience for my daughter, but no one has made her feel special or supported throughout this process. It truly feels like the quality of service left when Laura did. At this point, my expectations for how the wedding will turn out in August are extremely low. I would caution anyone considering this venue to think twice before booking. read more

My review is from the standpoint of a guest at a Thursday 5:30 wedding and reception. It took us about an hour to arrive from our home. We ended up arriving early because we weren't sure how traffic would be coming from the north Dallas area during rush hour, so we allowed plenty of travel time. There was plenty of parking (especially arriving early!) and we found the entry signage no problem. I love all the beautiful stone work on the buildings. This venue is gorgeous!! The wedding was held outside and the photographer was taking pictures outside so we hung out in a seating area in the lobby. I noticed a rug in the center area that had two edges sticking up and I saw several people kinda trip over it. I went to tell the bartender and she couldn't care less, after she dramatically removed her ear bud (like I was inconveniencing her). She told me to tell a staff member! I never saw anyone that looked like they worked there. A little while later I noticed two chairs were moved to that corner of the rug and that appeared to resolve any tripping hazard. The rug was well worn and just needs to be replaced, if a rug is even needed at all. The ladies room, with a sitting area, is spacious and beautiful. I did see a pleasant young lady use a blower to clear all the leaves off the area where the guests would be seated. We went outside to find a seat for the wedding. It was nice that the seating area is down from where the ceremony was held at the top of the stairs, so it had a great view. Right as the processional began a freight train had their whistle blowing, so it might be good if future weddings know the train schedule! Things slowed down a little to allow the train to finish and then we enjoyed a beautiful ceremony. The sun was still streaming in through the trees and there was a slight breeze for a beautiful October outdoor wedding. Everyone was invited to hang out inside the lobby area waiting while they took more pictures outside. It was finally time for the doors to the reception area to open up. The reception area was beautiful and later when the dancing began, there were various colored lights that lit up in the overhead mini balcony sections along the ceiling area. Everyone found their table and then when it was time for the food to be served, we were summoned by table and you walk back behind where the bride and groom presided. The venue is beautiful, but do not be deceived by it . Our bridal suite was at a constant freezing temperature while it was 48 degrees outside , so Imagine being in a room that had AC blasting all night long ! We told the staff at hand more than once . Only the first time we received a portable heater but only to be taken out before our reception started. Regardless of the package plan you chose , please read each word carefully or get a lawyer to help review with you ! I will say for all the partnered vendors they are great with great customer service ! Audra the manager was very nice to us ,and I only wished she was our coordinator as well ! read more

My daughter had booked a wedding here. There was no option to change the date due to Covid. Business as usual. Okay, so we trimmed the guest list WAY down and did everything we could to keep everyone safe. The employees at the venue all wore masks, and offered hand sanitizer and masks to guests. We were told we couldn't schedule a rehearsal for the day before because they were booked and we'd have to do it before the wedding on the day of. Then we were told they had another event the same day as the wedding so we couldn't do it then. Finally, they allowed us 45 minutes to run through it the evening before. The crazy thing is, it was so last minute that many people couldn't come. Because they had another event the morning of the wedding, we couldn't get into the venue to decorate until 4pm for a 6pm wedding. Needless to say that was stressful. We basically had to keep it to candles and rose petals because there was no time for anything else. The wedding coordinator was a bit of an issue. As a coordinator, she should have been guiding the day instead of complaining about what was and wasn't her job during such a time crunch. Many times we had to go look for her. The seating wasn't right and we had to request a change more than once. She kept saying she'd take care of it, then didn't. Finally it was fixed. Many little details were left to be figured out alone. More than once we were told one thing, only to find out it's actually the opposite. Everyone else was amazing though. Just one bad apple...unfortunately she was a very important part of the day. The venue was stunning. The bar was well executed. The food was delicious. The line to eat was handled nicely with social distancing markers and only a few tables at a time called up. There is a private parking lot with plenty of space. Everything was very, very clean. The bridal suite was beautiful. The reception area was well planned with a big dance floor. All in all, it's a lovely venue with quality food. If we had a better coordinator, the day would've been perfect. The stress of that one very important part of the day left us on a bit of a sour note. read more

This is a pretty venue, parts of it is kind of dark for pictures. I attended a wedding here on 9/8/2018. Its kind of hidden and hard to find. Pulling up it looks like a castle on the outside. There are ample amount of parking so don't worry about that. It was raining during the wedding, they originally were going to have it outside. I would NEVER recommend this place! A friend of mine is due to get married at the end of May, just after the expected peak of COVID19 in Texas. Her wedding has 250 guests invited, and most of them (including her bridal party which includes myself, and immediate family members) are all from New York or overseas. It is very obvious that no matter what happens regarding social distancing regulations, it would be extremely wreckless (if even legally allowed) for anyone to host a 250 person event that soon. This venue has allowed brides having events up to May 20th to reschedule their events without issue. Given that her wedding is only 10 days later, she simply wants to change the date, and that nearly ALL of her guests have to travel from high-risk places, one would think that this venue would be considerate of the circumstances and allow her to reschedule. However, they refuse. They clearly only care about money and themselves. They are willing to not only put 250 guests at risk (let's be honest-- if 25% of them even showed up it would be shocking), but also the well being of their staff members and vendors who would have to work the wedding. As a professional in the service industry, I have never in my life experienced working with anyone who cares this little about their client relationships. It is absolutely sickening that these people are happy to ruin what should be the best day of someone's life, and not even offer them a single dime of their money back. I can only imagine how many couples have been affected by this irresponsible service from this venue. Do yourself a favor and book your wedding at a venue who truly cares about you. read more

Which as everyone knows COVID-19 is spiking, Texas is a hot spot, and we're extremely concerned for our guests especially coming from 7 different states! They won't let us reschedule, and if our guest count is reduced from what we paid, we don't get that money back??? The funds are "allocated in other services they provide"? Ummmm as if we want any other crappy services from this greedy venue with all of our 5 people that show up. Our special day is RUINED. We will NEVER get this day back, it's depressing and extremely disgusting what this venue has put us and our family/friends through. This is not the day I want to look back and remember, because this venue is FORCING us to get married (even with pandemic restrictions on our guests) OR just give up $6300. Pathetic! They give you the run around, they constantly say no, they always have some excuse to give you. We waited to find the perfect venue since dec 2014, and got stuck with this mess. No matter what the issue is, even a pandemic they really don't care! Not to mention Samantha lied to me, the day the executive order for masks was announced, I reached out to them asking if it was required for our wedding. " This is such a tough and tricky area. We had our wedding/reception at Aristide Mansfield on Saturday, April 3, 2021. We had approximately 280 guests in attendance. While we had turnover in the staff during our 15 months of planning, our final contact (Kaci) was a blessing from her organization and responsive communication skills. The venue is beautiful. The general housekeeping could be improved. We had to dust the bar area and steps before our event. They had recent renovations that I know contributed to that. However, there is no one to take care of general housekeeping, even throughout the event. Trash cans were overflowing and empty soap dispensers in the restrooms were just two of the issues we encountered. We had the venue from 11 am until 12:30 am. Our ceremony was at 6 pm and the grand exit at 11:45 pm. Based on this, we purchased an additional hour of bar service, so our guests were accommodated throughout the evening. In our planning meeting, our major concern was having sufficient supply of beer and wine. We knew our group, and this was one an area that we could not manage as the bar was handled by the venue. WE DID NOT RECEIVE THE 4 HOURS OF BAR SERVICE FOR WHICH WE PAID. We were told that every bottle and can of alcohol in the venue had been consumed. WHAT'S EVEN WORSE, finding out after the event that that statement was a TOTAL LIE, as Management confirmed they still had beer in their inventory after our event! We are embarrassed that guests were turned away from the bar with no beer or seltzers for close to an hour FOR NO REASON OTHER THAN THE COORDINATOR (KAYLA) DID NOT WANT TO BE THERE. In addition, the bartender had an attitude problem all night and responded well to those guests stuffing money in her tip jar or her hand. The next issue is the wedding coordinator (Kayla) making decision on our behalf to the detriment of our guests. I was told the cakes were too big for us to cut. She would take care. There were not enough pieces of cake cut to accommodate our guests, only find out that portions of the cake that were "too difficult to cut" were SIMPLY THROWN AWAY! My caterer informed me that his staff pleaded to take the "trash" pieces home with them. Our cake stand was thrown away as part of the cake cutting fiasco lead by the venue's wedding coordinator, Kayla. While the bouquet and garter tosses are happening, the wedding coordinator (Kayla) and security decided to begin cleaning the bridal suite cleaning. Upon walking into this and inquiring why, we were informed that she "did not want to be there at 2 am cleaning." We now had bridal party members cleaning rather than witnessing fun parts of the evening. It really makes no sense as the bride's family had paid for the additional time after the exit to thoroughly remove all personal items from the venue. Again, though, she was not interested to be there that night and made the evening hard on anyone around her. Secondly, security should have been with the guests and not cleaning the bridal suite. Something just wasn't adding up. Further, our caterer and photographer made similar statements to us about her lack of interest in our event. The things she should have attended to (bar service, dimming of lights during dancing, access lighting, etc.) were ignored to "not be there all-night cleaning." I lay awake at night angry and embarrassed. I have tried to talk through the issues with the venue staff and regional manager. They acknowledge things were handled poorly and lies were told. I just want those considering Walter's Wedding Estates to do their homework and beware based on our recent experience. I don't want anyone to feel the way I do after so much time, money and effort has been invested in one of the most important days for families. read more

I have been to this Venue before in the daytime for a wedding. Its really nice. We had a work Christmas Party! You can bring your own decorations which our CEO did. It turned out so pretty. They did cater the food. There is plenty of space. The only thing I did not like is it is not lit up well out by the parking. Trying to figure out where to go was hard. If they added some lights it would be Perfect!!! But overall nice venue. read more

Future brides: DO NOT GET MARRIED HERE! No one could have planned for a global pandemic that has halted every industry in the world including the wedding business. Instead of working with their brides to help plan for a joyous occasion like MANY other venues during this trying time, they have refused to be anything but insensitive and corrupt. They denied our request to move the wedding to the spring since the majority of our family are no longer able to come. Unfortunately we don't have time to get an attorney (other brides have sued this venue and won) so we're stuck keeping our fall wedding date with a fraction of the attendance. Brides: even if you're just starting the planning process and (fingers crossed) covid won't effect how many people you're allowed to invite, still don't pick this venue. They have a non existent moral compass that will one day catch up to them. I was here this past weekend for a wedding reception. While both the inside and outside are lovely, there are so many upkeep issues that need to be addressed. First, for a venue that hosts many gatherings at night, I am shocked the parking was devoid of lighting. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. The parking lot is uneven, and completely dark. Consider further that a lot of guests will be wearing high-heeled shoes, and it's just a terrible combination. It's a huge liability issue. Additionally, there is a low-hanging tree branch running right through a parking space, but you wouldn't be able to see it at all until it scrapes your vehicle and ruins your paint or worse. And forget about finding this place at night. It's nearly impossible to see! Again, I cannot stress enough they need lighting in the parking lot asap. Next, every single one of the toilet seats in the women's restroom was broken, as were the soap dispensers (gross). The only working soap dispenser worked poorly, and sporadically. Maintenance things like this should be addressed immediately for a venue this nice (and expensive). Overall, I feel that it's a lovely place, and the wedding reception was absolutely amazing because of the couple and their guests, and not necessarily because of this venue. read more

Attended a wedding at the Mansfield location recently. The venue was beautiful, but the coordinator's service was such a disappointment. The coordinator took responsibility for very little at the wedding, but she was really good at walking around to appear as if she was busy. In my experience, wedding coordinators attend to ALL of the details of the wedding, including making sure that things like a unity candle are placed before the ceremony. The couple's pastor brought out the unity candle and placed it for the ceremony. What?? That's not his job. An even bigger detail was that the ceremony started 30 minutes late, and it was VERY cold outside while the guests waited. Timeliness is totally on the wedding coordinator, regardless of any excuses she might give. The photographer lost valuable lighting as a result, so who knows if any of the ceremony pictures turned out. There were many other issues that could have been avoided if the coordinator had simply taken responsibility and done her job. A poor job reflects poorly on her, as well as the venue. For the amount of money that is spent on a wedding at this venue, one expects more attention to details to ensure that issues are kept to a minimum. If you truly want a flawless wedding at the Aristide in Mansfield, do yourself a favor and have someone you trust appointed to go around and ensure that the guest book is placed, the candle is out, programs are are passed out, etc. Apparently, you're paying for use of the location, food, and alcohol primarily. Just don't expect much from the coordinator herself. Details really aren't her responsibility. read more

Let me start by saying the Aristide is beautiful. The location is convenient and very classy. However, the time constraints were impossible. We were given an hour and a half to completely set up our wedding. After we had paid our non refundable deposit, we were stuck. A couple of weeks later we were told we could not have a rehearsal the day before, as most people do we were only able to have it the MORNING OF THE WEDDING as they had booked the venue the day before without even considering we may need to rehearse, even though we had booked first. I really wish someone had said at the time we booked we should go ahead and schedule the rehearsal and this put us in a huge bind (on top of everything else). We had to pay for a hotel to get ready. We had almost everyone in the wedding enlisted to help rush to set things up. We bought an additional hour for over $700, but then we're told that was all that time that was available to purchase as they had booked an event between 1 and 330 on our wedding day!! Our incredible time constraint disrupted our pictures, and we ended up having to rush after our reception to fit in family photos from the lobby. In hind site I wish we would have booked a venue for the same price, that you were able to use all day. The stress was not worth the convenience and ambiance. read more

I have been running the photo booths for many of their events and have to say, the location is beautiful, the staff is friendly and accommodating, load in and out is easy with their back door entrance to the ball room.
