The store is in a warehouse district off Clint Moore, but the front door does face the roadway to make it easier to find with plenty of parking. We walked in and were instantly greeted by staff. The store is a candy-land of baseball equipment! My son tried on or tested everything to make sure it was the right fit with plenty of colors and brand options. We ended up with a new gray glove, green helmet, black bat, blue backpack, black pants and green socks! One of the cool things HIT has is a glove steamer, which sits in what looks like a popcorn machine to soften the hard leather. It takes a few minutes and then its good to go! The store has had other locations before and moved to this location in 2019. They do a lot of business on the web and for league teams across the county. We had a really nice experience and don't be intimidated, the staff are thoughtful and genuine about their knowledge of the equipment. We will probably be back if my son continues to play.

It's near the Blue Anchor Pub, just before you go over the Intracoastal on your way to the beach. A Blast From the Past is owned by Dee Ziemba and it is made up of two boutiques, a couture boutique in front of the store selling designer handbags, shoes, clothing, and accessories, and a vintage boutique in the back with costume jewelry, hats, and collectibles. There was so much interesting art and beautiful porcelain but my favorite part of the store was the costume jewelry. It reminded me of all the time I spent looking through my grandmas jewelry box. I loved examining all of the gorgeous enamel pins and earrings that used to adorn the classiest of ladies. I also loved a Chanel bag and a really cool pair of Gucci sunglasses. When I walked inside I was amazed at how large the interior was. It was crammed packed with everything you could possibly need for a beach day including chairs, towels, beach bags, toys, masks, flippers, coolers, flip flops, bathing suits, hats, and sunscreen. If you forgot it, they got it! They also had a large selection of souvenirs and what looked an an endless assortment of clothes emblazoned with Deerfield Beach and Boca Raton. Whether you are shopping for a souvenir or you need a beach essential, Breeza has everything you need for a day of fun under the sun.

Any clothing item that contains graphics are printed in store by amateurs and is why once washed they peel.

This is a very large department store. It's in an area that is a bit unusual for a store such as…read morethis. You'd expect to see an inclusive store this size in one of the malls. We'd come to Bealls as I'd received a special coupon that I wanted to use. I thought we were going to the Bealls Outlet store a bit further south, but as it turned out it was good we stopped here instead. Later on when we passed by, we saw that the Outlet was blocked by construction. I was looking for a new purse and a new wallet. I looked in the accessories area first. I browsed the shelves and saw a few surprising designer names. They had a lot more purses than wallets from which to choose. Unfortunately, they didn't have anything that appealed. Nor the types that I was looking to buy. While there, I made sure to browse the clearance shelves of this store section which also included hats and jewelry. I did find a very reasonably priced bracelet that I couldn't pass up. This isn't a store that I normally shop -- as most of the clothing is not my style, but I imagine if I'm near another one of their stores, I might stop by. Especially to check out their clearance items.

Seriously- walking in just made me want to go back to my lazy beach days watching the waves and dancing around in my Billabong dresses and Rainbo sandals. This location is large and has a huge collection of shoes and clothing. I could not leave without finding something to buy. I found the cutest "retro" Florida shirt, but it was a mini and I am past that stage in life. The staff was incredible and found it for me in a normal length. I cannot wait to rock it here in Atlanta.

The first Island Water Sports was opened by Kirk Cottrell in 1978 in Pompano Beach. Less than a…read moreyear later they moved to Deerfield Beach where they sold surf clothing and surf boards. It quickly became known as "the" surf shop in Deerfield Beach. Business was good in the 1980's and they franchised to 26 stores. Unfortunately the 1990's were not as kind and the business took a hit. Kirk Cottrell leaned on his faith and in 5 years he was able to relaunch a more conservative business plan. In 1997 Cottrell and his family moved to South Africa to work as missionaries and start a Calvary Chapel. Sadly he lost his life in 2001 in a surfing accident. Island Water Sports is now run by Cottrell's son Cheyne and family. The Kirk Cottrell Pavilion in Deerfield Beach where Island Waters Sports has given free surf lessons to kids for years is named in his honor. My daughter used to enjoy the free surf lessons given by IWS with her friends when she was in elementary school and when her uncle gifted her his damaged surf board we took it to them to be fixed. They still have the Deerfield Beach location but when I was shopping in Delray I stumbled on this outpost across from the beach on Atlantic Avenue and I had to stop in to relive a few memories. Parking for this store is metered on the street. From the outside the store doesn't look very large but looks can be deceiving. As soon as you enter you can see that there are actually several rooms filled with clothing for men, women, and children, accessories, surfboards, skateboards, shoes, toys, tumblers, sunglasses, hats, and more. IWS has a rental business too. You can rent a surfboard all day for $45 or a stand up paddleboard for $60. An all day bicycle rental is $45 or an e bike for $75. They have a surf and skate camp for kids and private and group surf and stand up paddle board lessons. They still offer the free Saturday 7-9 AM all age, all level surf and paddleboard lessons with equipment provided. They can even give lessons at your special private event or birthday party. The girls working were so sweet. They were on hand to help and we had a nice chat. IWS is an iconic family owned business and they have given so much to the community. I am glad to see they are are still inspiring the next generation of surfers and skate boarders who love the outdoors as much as Kirk did.
