Huge shout-out to two of the best employees at this Macy's: Precious in the men's department and Maika in alterations. I'll start with Precious. Every employee should be like her. She's knowledgeable, has a great eye, and is incredibly helpful. You can tell she truly loves what she does because she's always smiling. If you need men's clothing, ask for her...she picked out a suit for my husband that was absolutely perfect and only needed a little hemming. Now for Maika. She's been here for years, and for good reason. She tailored my son's clothes a few years ago and did a fabulous job. While measuring my husband's new suit, I mentioned that I had bought a dress online from Macy's that needed shortening. I showed her a picture, and she gave me a quote that was over $100 less than any tailor in town. I brought the dress in, she measured it, and said it would be ready in three weeks. Amazingly, it was finished within a week, and the dress fits like a dream. It's so beautiful that I can't wait to wear it to this wedding. Service like this is hard to come by these days. I've always liked Macy's. Seems like when I need something, they have it... and generally at a good price. I still remember the day I went from one of the large high end retailers at the Natick Mall and walked over to Macy's... and bought 6 shirts for the price of what I was considering at the other place... and they were nice shirts! Anyway, I wanted a new Comforter for my bed and Macy's web site said they had it in stock at the Boca store. Black Friday pricing was really great so I went over. I would never have gone to a store on Black Friday in NY or Boston, but even though it was crowded, wasn't too bad... bedding dept was pretty empty. Bought a great light weight Down Comforter... very happy. Macy's has a lot of great deals all the time. Their web site is great. I like the other more high-end dept. stores at the Town Center Mall for things as well. So much better than the Aventura Mall which I will never return to. read more

Apologies in advance for no pictures! Being that so many department stores have closed I am happy that this Macy's is still around. Was on a mission to go to the ladies section which is on the second floor and wound up seeing new Chanel men's cologne elixir which I had my spouse try , quickly sprayed one spritz and took a moment to smell it on him. The sales woman nearby started yelling at my spouse "no rub! No rub" shouting at him like he was a child. We looked around and notice she was talking to him. Both of us were thrown off and as I received a phone call that I took she continued to yell at us. Needless to say she was extremely nasty. We appreciate being informed that yes maybe he shouldn't rub the cologne due to the oils as it breaks down the fragrance, he should not be yelled at by a sales associate. Meanwhile, trying to locate the escalator we had to dodge nearly a dozen sales associate in the perfume area who were quite pushy trying to offer us little paper samples of perfume. Needless to say it was a quite unpleasant experience. read more

I had a very frustrating experience with Conny in the purse department at Macy's on Thursday around 3:40 PM. She made me walk up three flights just to return a small item, which felt completely unnecessary. On top of that, her attitude was rude and unprofessional the entire time. Went into Macys for no particular reason, I will say their staff were on point. I went to perfumes first and every counter I went to someone was there to greet me and offer assistance. Even though I didn't like the Chanel scents, one of the young ladies (I didn't catch her name but she's a ginger), she was very helpful, we bounced to 2 different areas to check out the Chanel scents. I came here looking for a new purse. I like to go to Macy's for purses because they have such a great variety to choose from. Every color and style you can imagine, they have it. I was surprised no one was around to offer to assist me. I was there for a while too. I ended up not finding anything that suited me, so I browsed the rest of the store. I enjoyed look at the shoes. I like this Macy's shoe department because it is huge. The rest of the store has a lot to offer also. I took off a star because there tends to be either too long of a line when I go to pay or I have to find an associate. It is hard to get in and out of there quick if you need to. They have a nice Cafe on the third floor along with some nice home goods. I like the way this floor is arranged. It is very spacious. read more

Ty to Sunshine for taking such good care of me in the women's dept and for Steven in the men's dept. Today was a great day at Macys- Sunshine in women's dept jumped in and helped me get rung up ( huge line) although the other cashier was not loving it. I had asked a cashier if I could leave some things behind a counter so I could shop and then when I went to check out- she was gone. Sunshine tried several times to call her but she did not show until much into the checking out- mean while Sunshine helped me find a few more things- what a delight- ty Sunshine! She has a great eye for fashion. On the way out the security tag went off and Steven jumped to assist and what a kind and generous man - we Loved him. Ty for making this shopping day a winner! When I'm here at the Boca Town Center, I try to stop here if I have time. This week we were nearby for lunch, and they were running a number of sales, so I decided to stop to see what they had available. I browsed several different departments. I usually do well here buying swimsuits and buying shoes, among other departments. And I had good luck this time, as well. Their stock selection of women's clothing is twice as large as in the store in Fort Lauderdale's Galleria and the one at Coral Square mall in Coral Springs. Not only is it larger, but it seems more inclusive of more upscale and varied brands. That could be due to the demographics of the typical Boca shopper. In any case, I found both a bathing suit and a pair of shoes that I was looking for -- both at a "bargain" discount due to their July 4th/summer sales. So I was a happy camper. I went to Lens Crafters today in the Macys store (Boca Town Center)in Boca Raton . My wife had an 1100 apt with the optometrist to get an eye prescription . When we got there the most arrogant lady named Michelle totally turned us off and we left the store. She said the optometrist was running 45 minutes late and then would go out for lunch. Then she said the price which was quoted was wrong unless we bought our glasses there. Len Crafter should be ashamed to have someone like this representing them. I asked the sales person for my size and she said that this pair was the last and that I'd get 10% additional. the shoes were being charged at $108 instead of $90, the woman walked off to find a manager and just left me there. I had originally came in to have my hair styled for a wedding I'm attending; I was able to book a fast appointment online. Nadia did a great job wanting to provide quality and satisfaction while preserving the health of my hair! Omg probably the best experience I have had with a stylist! During conversation with the pieces of clip ins I had; she mentioned why not having my own hair done like my clip in, I have tried multiple stylist to do my hair color of which all refused and said it couldn't be done due to the black dye in my hair. 3 1/2 stars This is one of the better Macy's in South Florida. Compared to many other locations it is large, with lots of merchandise. Of course I judge a store by its petite department and this store has lots of petite dresses and sportswear. In general the dress department is huge. You can find dresses for work and any occasion. If you are on the second floor and have some time, make sure to head to the "Last Chance" racks where you can get some great deals. In general Macy's has a wide variety of prices but it seems like there are sales every weekend. What disappointments me at this Macy's in the Town Center Mall in Boca Raton, however, is the total lack of service. There was no one to help in the dressing room with sizes. There was hardly anyone to help when browsing the racks. The only department where I was even acknowledged (except if I was paying) was the shoe department. The shoe department is decent, but I would say the Aventura Macy's shoe department has this one beat with regards to service and selection. Macy's is still a good place to go for moderately priced clothes but shopping there will take some work. If you want to shop and get some help these days, you'll need to go to higher end department stores or boutiques. read more

i tried shopping on line.. no problem. merchandise arrives. no long...different fabric. then the fun begins. rather than pay for a return shipping label i decided to return merchandise to store, which was one of the options on the receipt. where in the store....no one knew. fnally a sales lady litteraly walked me to the proper location. they staff was clueless on how to handle an internet sale. finally three sales people figured out how to handle. they gavd me a receipt to cover the returned merchandise, but not the credit. that will take several days I was told by one of the staff. A whole diffeerent online experience than when i shop (which we do often) at amazon. now retailers who would like to build on line program, take heed and follow the amaxon model especially returns. no more macy;s for me read more

The layout of Macy's is old style where they encourage shoppers to browse around. It's inconvenient for those who are looking for something particular (different floors, winding pathways). Sales are good when you are looking in the right place. They wrangle you in with loyalty programs. This particular store has decent inventory (not much for long gowns, but plenty of casual wear). Unfortunately the service here is so slow. They need to implement self check out so you don't get stuck behind the people returning twenty different things. The only people I see are the girls trying to spray you down with cologne as you enter the mall! One day I was walking to a register and the woman walked away! For real. I just stood there and eventually, after she was done talking with her coworker/friend, she came back and rang me up. I feel like every other Macy's they are hounding you to come to their checkout, but this location they cannot be bothered with you. That being said, this Macy's is actually nice. Recently remodeled their Men's Department and the displays are great. The employee at the Chanel table, Jennifer (blonde, in her late 70s), told my mother that she didn't have her shade of lip gloss but that she should try out an eye liner or different product. My mother declined, as we only needed one more item before our trip for a wedding, and again Jennifer pressed that my mother find another product. My mother thanked her and began to walk away. Jennifer proceeded to say "cųnt," and "I can't handle when these ladies are biłchy and canłankerous." My father confirmed what she had said, and when I began asking employees for the store manager and department manager, Jennifer closed the gap between us twice trying to intimidate me (later saying she was "attacked"). I had such a frustrating time trying to order a gift from a registry on line that I finally decided to drive to the store. I miss seeing the registry table with sales help providing assistance. Trying to order a gift from a bridal registry here was a nightmare. The kiosk's don't work, the website is down. I found the item that I wanted to purchase and was given a list of stores with phones numbers to call and try to find the item. Nobody answers the phone I either get computers or disconnected. Strangely, I can't order a gift from a bridal registry unless the item is in stock here and it's not. Two sales people and a manager could not help me place an order from the registry. I've ordered from many registries and never had an issue like this. The manager actually told me to buy something else. I wasted hours in frustration and left without the order. This was a limited 60% off sale so it was particularly frustrating! read more

I definitely think us Macy's has stepped up their Cosmetics game. The Lancome counter is amazing now. It almost looks as if you are in Paris. Macy's also has a dedicated desk near the Lancome counter for online order pick-up and returns. This is really useful and I think it is in a great location. If you need to utilize these services, you can get in and out quickly. I do think the shoe department is a little bit of a hot mess but they have a lot of great brands. It is just a little unorganized at times and sometimes shoes are in the wrong place with the wrong price tags. The upstairs ladies clothing department is much more organized than it used to be. That seems to be really well-maintained. Yesterday, I was at the mall with my mom and cousin. There was an incident in the mall and we all were asked to evacuate the store. Mom was in a different part of the store yet the employees told her the same information we were told. It is nice when you have the same information being communicated at a time like this. Macy's staff was really well prepared for an out of the ordinary event and took control of the situation. I have a lot of confidence in them and appreciate their professionalism during a difficult time. read more
