We heard the same sales pitches and talk of quality and warranty just as we heard from all other salesmen at other furniture stores. But we found the salesman at Arizona to be a little more arrogant in personality. After reading the negative Yelp reviews about quality and service complaints and noticing that the most recent reviews are many years old we feel the high prices alone aren't the only issue but the company warranty and the negative reviews together don't seem to justify purchasing furniture here. read more

We have been looking all over for a quality leather couch and recliner. Been to Mathis Bros, Lazy Boy, Jeromes.... and Arizona. Of course initially we had sticker shock, but after seeing all the other's and going back and fourth for about 3 plus months we came back today and made our purchase. We worked with Ebru who is the store Manager. There was not any kind of pressure or any sales pitch at all. She gave us a price, we went to lunch to talk about it and made our decision. We purchased the sofa and recliner and Ebru was very thorough on explaining every detail, nothing was left out. In respone to Jim R: No you have the best sales pitch in the business, not the best warranty. To have the best warranty you need a service department that answers calls or at least returns messages. You need a service team that is committed to customer service and adheres to communication timelines they set out. You need service reps that just honor your warranty and put customer experience with your product first instead of treating the customer like an inconvenience. It was such a simple repair (I'm uploading a photo), but took weeks to get it going and no one wanted to deal with me from start to finish. I want to like your business. I believe in buying local and buying quality which is exactly why I bought in the first place. Jim you had an opportunity here to bring me back to your side, but instead you tried to put me in my place as professionally as you could while using the reply to pitch yourself. You and your team could absolutely benefit from some lessons in customer service, but from your response I see the culture is learned from the top down. My husband and I bought a sofa and love seat in Sept. 2014. We were so happy with our shopping experience. The salesman explained our options but there was no pressure. We were able to totally customize our furniture--leather selection, seating depth (I'm short and need a shorter cushion), back cushion style, arm style, and finishing nail style. We asked for extra fill in the lower lumbar cushion. The delivery was wonderful and on time with no damages or problems. We have been using our set every day for 3 years and it looks great. Our dogs come up on the furniture and there are no scratches on the leather. We were very happy with the price we paid and feel we got more for our money than we had expected! I wish I would have read other reviews on this business before i spent over $6000 with these guys. The sales people are good, but the service is piss poor at best. The color has been coming off our sofa within a year and one of the sofa cushions is smashed. It took forever to get someone to call us back, that's when the fun started. My wife and I had been through the store once before. The salesman we had the first time was very helpful and explained the warranty and sale they currently were running. My wife returned this morning to purchase two savannah couches and the saleswoman Jojo informed her of the new sale. Our prior salesman told us that the middle density foam for the cushions was a free upgrade. Jojo quickly informed my wife it was $85 per cushion, however the inconsistencies did not stop there. My wife wanted me to complete the sale so later in the afternoon I arrived with her to purchase the two couches. Upon arrival I asked Jojo about the price and was informed about the current sale. When questioned about cushions I was given the same line of $85 per cushion. Then she informed us that the couches must be purchased tonight to receive the sale price. Feeling uneasy about the further inconsistencies she was exhibiting I asked for documentation about the warranty. She told me she didn't have anything. Her attitude during the whole experience wad condescending frequently asking and implying if we could afford the couches. I will not shop at Arizona leather. They need to train their sales people on how to sell without attitude and inconsistencies. I expect premium service when purchasing a premium product. STOP - DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. I went with my mother who is 80 years old to purchase a chair that she could get in and out of easily. The buying process was great but from there on out horrible. The chair was supposed to have a motor after a 6 month wait the wrong chair was delivered. NO motor and they took advantage of my mother. She needed a chair so she took this one they only gave her a 350.00 discount and they took the battery pack that was 250.00 so only 100. discount for no motor. I started calling stating this was unacceptable and they needed to make the chair correct and how we ordered it after 2 months I decided to contest my charge, then they starting calling my mother and harassing her that they were picking the chair up . My charge was just the deposit I was hoping we could work something out but to no prevail. I would never do business with this company worst experience ever. They finally picked the chair up but charged my mother 200.00 for the initial drop off and pick up of the WRONG CHAIR. If you get the wrong item sent to you do not accept it. 9/7/2020 - Here is what was CUSTOM about it! All 4 pieces had scuffed leather (CEO says that's normal). They colored it with a marker! The loveseat frame crooked and tilts to the right. One of the recliners has the wrong motor in it (CEO said we were not right about this even though the repair team were the ones who told us) The other recliner frame crooked and tilts to the right and the electronic connections are half buried in the seat. After tech spent several hours identifying the issues, we asked AZ Leather to pick up the furniture and issue us a refund. They refused stating it was a custom order. At delivery, we were given the opportunity by the delivery team and their supervisor to accept and pay balance or decline all furniture and make no payment. If we had known EVERYTHING that was wrong, we never would have accepted delivery; however, that is no longer an option according to the CEO. They now want the tech to spend a full day, or more, to come and repair the damages/incorrect motor/faulty parts. Company CEO offered no apology for extremely poor craftsmanship and solely stated their "no refund policy for custom work". With this much wrong on delivery, one can only imagine what more we will find and how much more time we will be spending to pursue. We have reached out to BBB, CreditCard Co, and we have been advised to seriously consider contacting AZ Channel 3, ("3 on your side). Please beware of ordering Custom furniture from AZ Leather! 8/26/2020 We ordered 4 pieces of living room furniture on 2/29 for over 11,000. With COVID-19 our original delivery date was extended which we had no issue with. Upon delivery on 6/25, all 4 pieces (couch, love seat and 2 recliners) arrived with various "scuffs" in the leather which the CEO told us is normal! We also reported the base for one piece was not level, one cushion covered the controls for the chair and the motor for another piece was not working. Once the repair person came out, we learned the motor was incorrect for the piece and two of the bases would need to be replaced which could take up to a month to get the parts and, along with fixing the scuffs, would entail a full day of repairs. Once we learned of all of this, given the fact that for high-end furniture we certainly didn't get quality craftsmanship, we faxed our concerns to the CEO, advising we want to return the furniture for full refund. CEO did not respond to our fax and after 2 weeks when we called him and advised of the issues, he told us we were wrong about the incorrect motor and faulty bases and that a refund simply was "not going to happen". In addition, he wasn't aware of our fax, nor offer any apologies along the way. Overall extremely poor craftsmanship which never should have left their warehouse, along with non-existent customer service and lack of professionalism by the CEO, this is not a company one should not want to do business with. read more

I was extremely hesitant to buy from here, especially after the reviews. So here goes my experience: I bought a couch with an ottoman. The service was great and Gilly really went out of her way to explain the different types of leathers and treatments. Once I decided I would give it a go, they said it would take 6 weeks for delivery. But the couch actually arrived in 4 weeks. When the couch arrived, there were two pencil eraser sized scuffs on the edges, which greatly disappointed me, especially after paying a LOT of $$. But they said they'd have a technician to come fix it. Surely enough 6 days later, a technician came and the scuffs were perfectly and seamlessly repaired in less than 20 minutes. My couch & ottoman are sturdy, very comfortable, and the leather is flawless. The construction is high end quality. Overall, my hubby and I are VERY satisfied with our purchase. read more

Sorry I have to do this to Arizona Leather, but this review is for their warranty company Montage Furniture Services (MFS), located in Milbank, SD. I wanted to write this review on them directly, but unfortunately I'm unable to locate them on Yelp. I filed a claim on 4/28/2016. The claim was for ink marks and dirt on my sofa and love seat. While trying to file the claim, I emailed my claim form many times without a response. I finally had to call and speak with someone about the correct email address my claim forms should be sent to. After finally getting my claim filed, it took forever for someone to respond to my claim. finally after a month or so Montage finally sent someone out to service my furniture, the person said that they did repair leather furniture but cleaned it. The service person took picture of my furniture and advised Montage to send someone out to repair it. So far my claim has been going round and round and in different directions. I called one time and was told that new parts were being made for my sofa and love seat and should be ready within a few weeks, next time I call to check on the status of my order, I was told that my claim was being escalated to higher management to reviewed and approved to see if they were going to replace the part or replace the sets themselves, then I spoke to someone on 8/9/16 and I was advise that they approved my claim and that they are going to schedule someone to come out and repair my furniture. I don't know how someone can repair ink off of real leather furniture but I keep getting the run around every time I call. Today (8/11/16), I received an email stating that someone from JR Furniture Repair will be contacting me to schedule a repair of my furniture. When a manager called me on 8/11/16, I asked her what would happen if this repair person came out and damaged my furniture, she said that they would review the situation if that occurred. It has been 4 months since I originally filed this claim and nothing has been resolved. My warranty expires in December and I feel that Montage Furniture Services is trying to hold off on honoring the warranty that I paid for until my policy expires. This is the worst service I have ever received. I'm really upset and if this situation is not resolved in the proper manner that it should be, I will go to the media. I'm very unhappy with the way that I'm being treated by this company. I would like for Montage to honor my warranty, I've been advised by many experts with leather that it is hard to get ink marks out of leather. Either they can replace the cushions that have the damage or replace the furniture. I don't feel that I can trust the furniture repair company they are sending out to properly restore my furniture without destroying it all together. I want Montage to take responsibility and do the right thing. read more

I had bought a l-shaped sectional stationary couch from Arizona Leather in 1999. Although I loved this couch I had to give it up after 15 years as it was too low to the ground for my aging knees. I never liked the replacement couch I bought from another company. May 29, 2018 I went to the Ontario store to buy another comfy couch. I looked on the webpage to see what styles were available. Jack who has since retired was the salesperson who assisted me in looking at different styles but unfortunately none of the styles I liked online were available to try out in the store. Jack directed me to different couches that had the seats and seat backs of the styles I was interested in. He was friendly, patient and professional. Even though there were other people shopping he made sure my questions were answered. They were very busy as it was the end of their Memorial Day sale. When I received the couch I loved everything about it except the seats weren't deep enough to my liking. I don't sit on the couch much, I lay on couches due to medical conditions. I contacted customer service and received a call back from Jim in the Chino office who has done everything to make me happy. He has made it possible for me to receive another couch style that I am completely happy with, seat depth and all. Jim went above and beyond to make sure I get the couch I wanted. I can't thank him enough. I would never buy a couch from anywhere else. They have great products with loads of variety and excellent customer service. It's best to go to a location that has the most variety of styles to try out so you get the couch you really want. read more

I was pleasantly surprised with the way Gilly and her team partner at Arizona Leather treated me and my wife. We were walked through the way the furniture is custom made from top to bottom . We decided to buy a sectional and matching leather chair. In under 6 weeks we received our furniture. WOW...the build quality is first class workmanship and I can honestly say its the best furniture we have ever owned ... We have 2 large dogs so I was worried about leather but as Gilly explained its a breeze to clean and bounces back like new. Much better than the cloth sectional we replaced. We had been shopping for leather furniture for months. We stopped at Arizona Leather in Scottsdale and Caryle helped us. She was super informative, very knowledgeable, and all around helpful. She explained the pros and cons of particular styles of couches and recliners; she showed us many color swatches; she also talked about textures and what wears better than other textures (and how it wears) given various uses (we have kids). We went back a total of 3 times (I think) prior to actually purchasing; and each time we were treated well, given consistent information, and helped immensely. Really bad experience even with a discounted price. The color is wearing off and the "custom made" order was totally messed up. The spacing of the decorative nail heads on the ottoman was spaced differently from the ones on the couch and chair. We ordered the formed sponge fill for the cushions and got loose and shapeless fill instead. The workmanship is so inferior to what was displayed. The leather has not held up well at all. What a waste of $4,000!!! read more

My wife decided that the almost 10 foot leather sectional (in each direction) in our living room needed to go (after only 25 years). My wife and I are partial to leather furniture so we looked around and ended up at Arizona Leather in Ontario. The salesperson (Hugh) was very patient with us. Took us around and explained the store policies and pricing. They happened to be having a holiday sale which saved us $1,200 off our sofas. We ended up buying two identical Tahoe 3 seat sofas in a dark brown color. Hugh told us that it could take up to 2 months for delivery which didn't bother us as we weren't in a hurry. The sofas actually came in about 5 weeks. I have looked and looked and I can't find a defect though we've only had them for two days at this point I'm hopeful they will stand up well. We have a large Arizona Leather sectional that we purchased in another Arizona Leather store about 5 years ago and it has held up amazingly well despite two dogs constantly on it, the sofa still looks like it did the day we got it. By the way, I disagree with 4 dollar sign rating. It's not cheap, but quality leather furniture (You get what you pay for.). I've seen leather couches in other stores that are way more expensive than they are at Arizona Leather. I would say comparatively they rate more like a $$ or $$$. read more
