Luis and his crew did a fantastic job in painting the interior of my home. 2300 sq ft painted in less than 2 full days. We left the home for 2 nights to avoid the flumes of the paint. Honestly Luis was priced just a little bit above the other quotes. What was different with Luis is that he came over dressed professionally and took notes. He was very knowledgeable and offer suggestions. We also wanted Sherwin Williams paint and that's all he uses. Luis also made sure that we had an account with Sherwin Williams and that our paint selections were noted in case we ever needed to purchase more at a later date. I hate writing a bad review, but sometimes you just have to. Luis and his crew were polite, responsive, showed up on time and got right to work. I was surprised how young Luis is, but was eager to support this young man and his entrepreneurial spirit. But the results were heartbreakingly bad. He priced his services right at or just below the top painters in the area. But his team can't cut a clean line between two paint colors. I have gray walls and white ceilings, and the gray goes past the wall onto the edge of the ceiling in just about every room of the house. There was paint overspray on carpets, tile, window screens (I had to replace 3 of them, it was so bad). They did no surface prep beyond priming, so if there was a little gouge on a wall, it was still there when they were done. No effort made to smooth it out with spackle. Edges of white door frames had gray wall paint on them. I kept peeling bits of masking tape (yes, masking tape, not blue painters tape) off of wall plates and wall to ceiling lines for months afterwards. There were multiple places where they peeled off their masking tape and it took paint with it (which is why you don't use masking tape), but they didn't notice or didn't care to touch it up. There are drips on my baseboards where they used too much paint. I wonder if they even did two coats on the doors, because it seems super thin, definitely not a durable finish, despite being semi-gloss Sherwin Williams Emerald level paint. I'm pretty sure they used a paint sprayer on the doors since there are no brush marks, so maybe they sprayed it too thin. They cleaned their brushes in my kitchen and bathroom sinks and left dried paint all over the sink bowls and clogged one of the drains. There was pee on every toilet seat, and it was definitely them, because I hadn't even moved into the house yet. They came back to fix the worst offenses and offered me a discount on the balance due, but there was still so much left to fix on my own. Like I said, I hate writing bad reviews, but if someone had already done this, maybe I would have picked a different painter and saved myself all this time and frustration of touching up/correcting their work multiple times as I keep finding more issues. read more
