This is more like self storage than powder coating. I dropped off some rims, was given a two week lead time. After 2 months multiple failed promise dates for pick up, they still were not complete. At 3 months of sitting in the storage yard, I called and just requested to pick them up from self storage to take them to another powder coater who could complete the job. They told me the rims were complete two weeks ago, they just forgot to call. The promise dates mean nothing here, customer service is poor at best as they never respond, and frequently miss the dates they indicate the project will be completed. I guess they no longer focus on the core individual, and just relegate the one off stuff to the yard to be rained on and exposed to the elements until they feel like dealing with it. If you can live without customer service, your project for months on end, missed promise dates lots of excuses this may be the place for you. When the project was finally complete, the Powder coat job was great, I will actually give them a second star for quality of workmanship. I will choose a more reliable business in the future. read more

If I could put in a review with no stars I would. I dropped off a small project to get an estimate and have powder coated. I was told I would get a quote sent to me in 2 to 3 days. That didn't happen. 5 separate calls asking for my quote and two weeks later, I finally get a quote. The office staff are non-responsive and when you do talk to them they basically lie to you about what they will do. What is sad is that I went there because I have used them in the past and because they were reasonably priced. Not anymore. I will not use them ever again. I picked my project up, which they had left in their open yard for ttwo weeks to just start rusting. If I was you, I would look to one of the other powder coating companies in the valley. So glad I had them do my bike frame, but I should have gone to them from the get go. I was tired of the shitty customer service at Glendale Powder Coating, who had done 3 frames for me previously, so I made an even worse decision by letting the hacks at Universal Powder Coat give it a go. After I saved my frame from any more of their incompetent shenanigans, I wised up and took it to Arizona Powder Coat. They have TONS of colors on steel cards and fandecks in their office. Some with different sheen topcoats, which is pretty cool. Found the exact color I wanted, fluorescent lime green. Their turn around time was long (a month), but that's a good thing. If they're busy, there's a reason for it, because if you suck, you aren't busy. Office staff returned calls and let me know when my frame was finally ready for pickup. Price was great (under $90 for strip and coating), and the frame was PERFECT. All the threaded holes were totally free of powder, the head tube was carefully masked, which was awesome as this is an integrated headset frame, rear caliper mount was flat and level, as were the faces of the bottom bracket. Really shows how much prep they put into their work. I didn't have to do any additional work when reassembling the bike, what a time saver. The finish itself is great. Nice and consistent. Wish I would have sprung for the flat clearcoat, maybe next time when I change colors. They even wrapped it nicely in foam sheets for transport. I'll never go anywhere else. Staff is professional and courteous, the prices are competitive, if not the best, and they do solid work. What more could you ask for? read more

Arizona Powder Coat gets 5 stars all day long from me. I took in my old metal stair railings that have been up since 1966 in a home I bought last year. They had been painted multiple times, most recently with regular wall paint by the flipper I bought it from. Of course, that was peeling off. I knew they would need help when I bought the place. Luckily, my neighbor had his done at AZ Powder Coat & told me about it. They were so nice, professional, & friendly throughout the process. You have to bring stuff to them, so I rented a truck from Home Depot for $20. They are also very busy, so it took a couple of weeks, which they told me about from the beginning. The price was more than fair, & I am thrilled with the results. The stair railings look brand new. They can powder coat anything metal that doesn't have plastic I believe. I brought a lumber rack in from California for powdercoat and was scheduled to pick it up 9 days later. They understood I was leaving the area with it. I called to conform the day before but it wasn't ready. I was told to pick it up 2 days later, that it would be ready. This caused me a delay, but I needed the rack. I showed up at the revised time and the rack wasn't ready. In fact, it wasn't even started. It hadn't moved from when I dropped it off. They didn't honor their commitments -- twice, and can't be trusted. There was a potential rain delay the first time, but not the second. Giant waste of time and money for me. read more

I took my calipers to get powder coated and found it was a good price compared to other companies I have got other quotes. When I received my calipers the quality was okay but the worst part was when I was getting them installed my installer explained to me there was Powdercoat where they shouldn't of been causing the pads not to sit properly and they powdercoat my bleeder valve screws. I am no expert but I'm sure they should of known where to Powdercoat and I had already paid labor to get the shop to remove brakes. I wasted my time and money to take them back to get fixed which they did and now I have to pay for labor again. I did not receive any type of refund and my calipers have chips on them now as well. Don't recommend this company at all at least I could of got a partial refund for the labor I spent and the time and now I have to buy new bleeder valves that's another 85 dollars from Nissan. I would of been better getting them paid. Update months later! Post pics below these people powdercoated the brakes where the bolt sits and caused the bolts to become loose and had a huge brake fluid leak which could of caused an accident. I am not recommending Arizona Powder Co, their work took much longer promised, when called, they repeatedly changed the pick up date for my product, they charged us before showing us the finished product, and last but not least they powder coated the wrong bicycle frame! It began when we dropped of my bicycle frame and fork for repainting. We were told it was a 2-3 week wait time because of the projects. That was fine and nice of them to let us know. Also, I had made accomodations to pay for transportation while my bicycle was waiting to be completed. At the end of the 3 weeks I called on Monday to check on the status of my bicycle, they informed me that it was not done and I could expect it Wednesday. I called Wednesday and it was still not completed, except this time I was told that they were waiting for more items that were requested in the color I wanted before they started my project. My color choice was, bubble gum pink, I told them that it didn't seem likely that many people would request that color and that I was not thrilled that they were waiting for more projects in that color before they even started on my bike. Hugo then told me that they wanted to get paid for the invoice as much as I wanted my bike back and that it would be done Friday. Fine, okay. Except, Friday rolls around, they call my partner and tell him it is done, he arrives as the facility and pays for my bicycle. Imagine his surprise when they hand him a bike that isn't mine. That's right, not only did it take much longer than expected but they powder coated THE WRONG BIKE. My partner told me they said, "Oops, guess we did the wrong one" and told him to come back on Friday. They told us to come back on Monday... Four and a half weeks later I finally receive MY bicycle. I understand they had projects but it would have been much better if they had been more realistic about the wait time and also were honest about why it was taking so long. Also to have taken this long and not even complete the right bike is beyond me. read more

UPDATE: Had many things done by Arizona Powder Coat now. Axles are my newest project. Product and price is seriously awesome. Toughest part is picking the finish. Again, all these guys love what they do. If it's metal, skip the rattlecan and get it done to last! Gotta write a review for these guys. I have 2 jeep bumper and tire carrier setups in the process of being done with them right now. In the past, they did my motorcycle wheels which I LOVE. They gave the wheels a protective wrap around what was perfectly powdercoated wheels. They attempted to ballpark my current order through email. I sent pics. Ryan got me in way cheaper than the quote. He's a fun guy, that loves what he does. Turnaround is 12-14 with these guys and it's worth the wait. Great work and great price. I had a set of motorcycle handlebars that needed refinished. I stripped the previous coat and brought them in raw. I decided to go with gloss black as I know that's a more common color, and they might be able to throw them in with another batch quicker than a unique color.
