I do not usually write negative reviews, especially for local businesses, but I felt it was important to share my experience with Revive Auto Center in case it helps others make an informed decision. I first used Revive Auto Care to replace a control arm on my Infiniti QX60. I found them on Yelp, appreciated their positive reviews, and liked that they communicated over text. That repair went well, so when my AC started blowing hot air, I decided to return. They initially charged me $100 for diagnostics and a refrigerant top-off, then told me I needed a new compressor and quoted approximately $1,200. I dropped the vehicle off on Tuesday. By Wednesday and Thursday, they still had not identified the issue, but they continued replacing parts including the compressor, condenser with receiver drier, premium line kit, secondary rear AC expansion valve, blend door actuator, cabin filter, and recharged the AC system. By Friday, the vehicle was still not repaired, and they ultimately determined that the battery was bad and not providing enough amperage to properly run the AC system. They replaced the battery and told me the issue was fixed, which naturally made me question whether all of the previously replaced parts were actually necessary. The total had also increased to approximately $2,500, and at no point during the process was I contacted for approval on the additional repairs and charges. When I picked up the vehicle Friday evening, the AC was still blowing hot air. In addition, the vehicle was revving abnormally both while driving and while sitting in neutral. It is now Tuesday, and my messages have gone unanswered. On Saturday, I brought the vehicle to Infiniti for another opinion. I was told that the AC system had been overcharged by 1.73 lbs of refrigerant, which they said was causing the issues I experienced after picking the car up. I understand that diagnosing AC problems can be difficult and unexpected issues can happen, but the lack of communication, failure to request approval for major additional repairs, and returning the vehicle in worse condition than when it was dropped off made this a very disappointing experience. read more

I called the office at the end of the week and was sent an invoice and a pickup time. My car looks great and they did a lot of work considering the time it was in the shop. Allen and his team are exceptional individuals that really care about their customers. I discovered them thru Yelp as you can request estimate and price services. Needing my a/c Freon serviced and by far his prices were the most inclusive and cost effective. I provided my dealerships diagnostics report. He and his team walked me the entire way and gave me varios price/ service options. When I decided the one I wanted to move forward made an appointment left my vehicle and they let me know o needed a new ac compressor! It was 3 times more than what I was going to spend. I talked about different options and that this part came with a lifetime At that time I was ready to give up and not have a working ac because it would take me sometime to collect the money for my repairs. I found out there is a payment plan option I was approved and he ordered the parts right away and dropped off my car even the parts arrived. The part that arrived was defective and they had to order a new one for safety reasons. The turnaround time was simply unheard of he got the new part the very next day and had my working vehicle with freezer cold ac the very next day. I used to work total loss and estimates for an insurance carrier and never in life have scene so much motivation and dedication to help a stranger that will now be a lifelong customer. I know as a female some individuals or vendors may way to pull a fast one thinking most women don't know about cars. Allen and his team were honest, courageous and committed to helping everyone! This review is a long time coming! As with all major vintage auto restorations, there is a HUGE learning curve for ALL concerned. It took me some time to realize this and I can only hope that the Revive staff can forgive my neglect with this review, and lack of understanding of all the dedication and hard work that it took to transform my dad's vintage 1952 Chevy 3100 pickup from an old rust bucket into a beautifully restored showpiece! The smile it brought to my dad's face when he first saw "his (restored) baby" is something that I will never forget and always cherish! Allen and his staff poured every ounce of their souls into this restoration and spent extra time + weekends to try to get it show-ready. I can't say enough good things about the body shop staff (Jose, Guillermo, Sergio), and Revive master mechanic, Austin. They exceeded my expectations and were certainly the most conscientious, professional, and respectful auto shop personnel that I have ever had the privilege of entrusting to work on my vintage truck (before or since). Just trying to make an appt, with this company, and I told them I would wait, all day, if needed, as I have 8 hours of podcasts, i need to listen to anyhow. The owner, whose name is Allen, says he would have to check with Austin, I guess he is the mechanic, about if I could stay waiting for my car to be estimated. I have NEVER heard of not be able to wait in a waiting area for customers, all day, if necessary, as I had NO PLANS to leave my car overnight, in that neighborhood. If they cannot diagnose the problem, in 2 hours, and I have done bulb and socket replacement, as well as checking a fuse, inside & out, it is a big red flag, to avoid this place, before ANY work is done. I have been here 3 times now and worked with Alan. Alan is a very down to earth guy who really has a passion for doing things right and making your car look the best it possible can. Installing a front bumper, painting a driver side door, removing huge dents Alan does it all. My last visit was after a truck backed up into the passenger side of my truck. So there was a huge dent in the passenger rear door. Took it over to Alan he called me couple days later and was ready for pickup. I went to pick it up and upon inspection I wasn't satisfied with how it looked. I pointed it out to Alan he apologized and told me that he wanted to make it right and make me satisified.
