But most importantly we want to recognize the great hospitality we received from CHRISTIAN!! We were immediately greeted with a big smile and high energy!! Any time we found ourselves needing anything, Christian got us, not even being dramatic. Someone in the group rolled their ankle and he promptly got us ice packs in between helping other guests. Another friend lost their wallet but thanks to Christian's awareness, he saw it was left on the counter and kept it to the side for lost and found. Unfortunately, our area was hit by a winter storm, and a state of emergency was declared both that weekend and the following weekend. Travel conditions were unsafe, especially for children and families attending the party. I notified the business as soon as possible, but they refused to refund the deposit and only offered rescheduling, for an additional $250. At that point, my daughter's birthday had already passed, so there was no reason to reschedule a birthday party weeks later. I understand businesses have policies, but emergencies and state-declared weather events are beyond a customer's control. I made multiple good-faith attempts to resolve this directly, but no resolution was offered. I'm sharing this so other families are aware before booking, especially during winter months when weather can impact plans. The owner commented below- families let's use common sense as to why the party was canceled just four hours prior, the snow began coming down heavily, and I couldn't in good conscience ask my family members to travel on dangerous roads. The owner also failed to mention I was emailing Meg, since 6am that morning. Their behavior shows more compassion for money than families.

It was even more baffling when I found out that Meg is also an owner, which is disappointing that her customer service skills are below subpar. There was a miscommunication with the decor set up, which wasn't the problem it was how she handled the situation. She was very rude and disrespectful so much so that the other ladies on the staff had to keep apologizing for her rudeness. I will also say I had to call and leave several voicemails and send an email before she called me back leading up to the party which I wasn't a fan of. The day of the party the other staff members were so helpful and accommodating with bringing my vision to life I really appreciated them. I probably won't be back because bad customer service has a lasting effect but it it a really nice facility and all the kids enjoyed themselves.

Once you're done with those games - you suit up and go into the "bomb room" where you, as a team, manipulate a video game to shoot all the tanks in a maze sort of layout (think of the old Atari tank fight - but 3D). Thankfully, my 2 video gaming sons took charge, but we - as a team/family - were able to beat the bomb with plenty of time left! Wahoo! If you don't beat the bomb, you get blasted with paint, slime, or foam - whatever you chose at the beginning. As winners... well, you can get blasted anyway! That's half the fun, right? We chose paint. My wife was regretting that choice as her suit wasn't exactly paint-proof. Thankfully, it rinsed out later in the hotel room... and thankfully, this was our last stop of the evening... This is the sort of experience you could do again and again - the games can be different, and so can your team! This is a good family event that provides a memory that will last. A group of friends and I took their Learn to Curl class and it was so much fun. I went into it honestly being not that enthused but left feeling so happy and like I want to come back again. It is so worth coming out to Marietta to try this! The people that work there are incredible. They walk you through every aspect of curling and by the end, you end up being a curling (wannabe) pro. They keep the place opened from about fall to spring but then shut down for the winter. It's a lot easier to walk on the ice than it looks and they ensure your safety the entire time. Definitely come check this place out, whether for a date night, friends night out, or even a solo adventure. You'll be put with a group and have the best time regardless. I recommend bringing lots of layers and gloves because it's cold in there.

Remember to keep your drinks off the ice. --Service/Staff-- Shout out to Walter for inviting us to curl and teaching our group to learn how to curl. Walter was super patient and taught each one of our team members how to sweep and more importantly how to launch the stone. Our whole group was new to curling and Walter taught us the roles and how to score and was extremely patient with a lot of us since this was our first-time curling. Curling follows the same rule or closely follows the rule of botchi ball. --Products-- Great value if you want to learn a unique winter sport of curling. Each individual has to sign up online, but the price is worth the lesson and plus you get to compete against another team/group that has signed up that night. From our time we managed to get through 6 rounds and were not even rushing and I can see from our two teams we were all beginners. --Capacity-- We went on beginners' night on Friday at 7pm. There are 3 lanes and diving each lane makes it 6 groups. With each group or party having 6 people. You rotate through the roles of captain/skim, two sweepers and one person launching the stone. --Overall-- If you are looking for a unique winter sport, remember this place is only open from late September to May, this is a great place for your friends and you can bring your own drinks along. I highly recommend gloves, dress warmly and everything else is provided. Remember to have fun!
